Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

I have a theory about Moria and his crew and isn´t other that they are 2 crews, one is the true one and the other is the fake one.

Strawhats have found the fake one, the reason is that the true one was defeated by the Kaidou, one of the four emperors, and this true one Moria and his crew are more weaker than the originals and every time that the zombies are defeated the true Moria and the Hogbacks (the true and the false) resurrect the crew making it an undead crew that cannot be defeated until the true crew is outed.

I thought about this, but Oz demonstrated that DF powers don't translate over to the zombies, and we clearly saw this Moria use his Kage Kage no Mi powers to extract Luffy's shadow. So that idea wouldn't work.

My theory what the D stands for:

My theory is that Dadan might stand for the D in Monkey D. Luffy. I think this because the D is some type of family name and the Chief was calling by the last name of Luffy's mother or some other D which is the last name is the D. Also, it sounds right when you put Dadan in for the D.

My theory is simple..

Look, every Shichibukai at least looked or had a trait similar to their "respective Animal". Kuma and DoFlamingo do resemble a Bear and a Flamingo, while Crocodile was a strategist who awaited for his victims, but this "Gecko Moria" is just plain weird, so that's why I believe that the true "Gecko" is hidding in the interior of a "Zombie with Giantism". Maybe Moria's true body was so badly damaged after his fight with Kaido that he had to hide himself in the corpse of a Huge Person.

Think about it, the whole thing of Moria's Manipulative Powers being related to his strength doesn't make that much sense, so maybe what Brooke Meant was that Moria's Mastery of his Devil Fruit is what grants him the power, pretty much like what Crocodile Mentioned, Devil Fruits can become really powerful if one trains enough with them, and we have already seen this with the Gears of Luffy.

It may sound stupid, but I do believe Gecko Moria is a WIMP who is hidding in the interior of a Person with Giantism, perhaps inside of the neck of the "Current Moria".

For one of the D's? If the different D's stand for different names then there'd be no point to all the links between each character possessing the initial.

[Probably like FFA believes,] Moria is himself. Not only believing, but I can actually prove it with more than 3-4 huge points.
But anyways, aside from that, I believe Moria is really a wimp like you said. A wimp who relies on his puppets and tricks them effortlessly into doing what he wants them to do. He manipulates the strong ones indirectly with their dreams, and the weak ones are solely under his control.

Therefore, no need to beat him. Remember Oda's words when he said Luffy crushing one's dream equals a destiny worse than death. Beating Moria's army is more than enough for that, and Moria will lose as a result of beating Oz.
Just look at Croc's will to leave Impel Down. It'll do the job, even without harming Moria too much.

Davy Jones? I always wondered if "Davy Jones" was actually an important figure in One Piece, but maybe the whole thing of the D. was meant to be unsolved untill the end.

I always tought they were some kind of Elite Warriors who were in charge of protecting the Ancient Civilization, that would kinda explain how Roger knew the ancient language, maybe, unlike others, Roger actually knew what was his duty as a member of the ones with D.

Why can't D stand for DEVIL? You know, in Japanese Folklore there was a MAOU, demon King, so maybe what BlackBeard Meant is that with the "True Power of the Devil" he will become the Kaizoku Ou. Maybe Devil Fruits play an important role in the whole thing, but that would be as ridiculous as comparing the storyline of Konjiki No Gash Bell to One Piece...

But there's something bothering me...

Why Blackbeard was obsessed with the Yami-Yami-No-Mi? Did he actually saw something involving that Fruit? It may be biased, but maybe a Young Blackbeard witnessed the moment when Roger ate THAT fruit....

Geckos are cold blooded lizzards right? so whenever they are in a cold enviroment/arent hit by the sun they become "lazy"…

Think you are reading too much into it.. he probably only wanted it because he really liked the power and thought it was the most powerful one. It is one of the few (orr perhaps onlyone) that can really own other logias.

I think that Luffy's middle name is Davey Jones.
And to the Coby and Helmeppo Idea I can understand Coby vs Luffy but why Zoro vs Helmeppo I understand that he was going to kill him and not keep his promise but still they dont have a reason to fight.

I predict / guess that the Void Century / Missing Century when uncovered, will explain the mysteries of the Devil's Fruit that Oda has been promising to tell us for like, pretty much the last 10 years.

Maybe it will be some kind of adam and eve esqe story. Perhaps the Devil's fruit trees are the "Eve" Trees that correspond to the very strong Adam Trees.

reading some of that made me come up with a crazy short theory, Davy Jones is in Gyojin Island which IIRC is undersea right, specially since Oda brings back stuff from the past this would be no suprise

I Like your theories!! Pretty Amazing, I didn't even remember that much of One Piece.

Remember what Buggy said? There are TONS of treasures under the sea that Devil Fruit Users can't even touch.

And there's also the fact that OBJECTS can "eat" devil fruits.

It would be ironic if Davy's Ship became the first object in the One Piece world to consume one of the Fruits of the Devil. Who knows, maybe Davy was the responsable of creating them trough some "pact" or "mystical ritual", or maybe he was a "Space Pirate" with the technollogy to do so.
Who knows, maybe the "Ancient Civilization" is based off the "Mayas" of Mexico, an ancient civilization that is said to have "returned to the stars" after almost being conquered.

Who knows, maybe Davy was left behind, maybe everything would turn out like Houshin Engi, with super powers that were nothing but the product of "Alien Technollogy". I just hope that if some of that happens to be true, then Oda doesn't do something like…..Making the D's Aliens....I actually see them more as a Clan who allied with the Ancient Civilization, like the guardians of an important secret..

To be fair to FFA, he has given evidence that his theory is based on something. However it is still little, if we're talking about the initial D.

What I don't get is… how people are now going around believing that FFA's theory is likely to be right. It proves the acknowledgement of Davy Jones on the OP world... but to link it with the initial is imaginative, yet most likely very wrong. FFA's theory is more like... "Davy Jones exists! Bottom of sea! Davy = D! Devil! - - - - Monkey Davy Luffy!!!!!!!". It's just too imaginative. At this stage, with the info on D given by Oda so far, the theories on the initial are based on random things that are made to look like they're connected by use of imagination.

Oda is giving no large hint away about what the initial stands for.

Pluton is not specified if it is the name of a god or not. So assuming Poseidon is the only god in the One Piece world, it's a good bet that's a picture of them on B. Bear's book.

Now, every god has servants of their will. But going back to the original point: if the same holds true for sailing past the equator in the One Piece world, then Poseidon, as a god, would be the one to sail through the Grand Line, entering and exiting the most. The second would most likely be a servant of said god. In our world, Davy Jones. In the One Piece world…

Reasons: How do you think they would generate enough energy to utilize the "Ultimate Weapons"? To be honest FFA, I've seen so many theories on the D by now, I can't bring myself to support/believe any of them. Theorize all you want - there is no real hardcore solid 100% proof of any connections with the D. - yet. All we know is a bunch of guys with simulair ideals and beliefs are running around becoming powerful and famous…

Okay, so I'm awful when it comes to theories, but something caught my interest as I was studying Hades.

I was reading the different names for Hades: Aiidoneus, the Devil, The Unseen One, Ruler of the Underworld, etc. And the name that caught my eye, which was Pluton. Alright, so most of us already know that.

Please don't hurt me if this is painfully obvious or has been over-discussed before. ^^;

But Pluton is a dangerous weapon in the OP world, correct? What if it were really a form of dangerous being instead? Maybe the blueprints doesn't create the actual weapon, but rather something to resurrect the real weapon. (The devil = dangerous, evil being and whatnot…)

I don't know, just a slight possibility forming in my head.

Maybe when Shanks first arrived in Fushia village he had his spirit going, but two little children were able to handle it. One of Course being Luffy and the other being Ace.

But Pluton is a dangerous weapon in the OP world, correct? What if it were really a form of dangerous being instead? Maybe the blueprints doesn't create the actual weapon, but rather something to resurrect the real weapon. (The devil = dangerous, evil being and whatnot…)

I don't know, just a slight possibility forming in my head.

Maybe Pluton is some person that made the Devil fruit and what happen 800 hundred years ago was that he had a pirate crew that all the pirates in his crew had devil fruit powers but the D family stoped them.

Usopp will soon snap into a mental state finally figuring out he's truly weak, even after Enies Lobby so he becomes a heartless killer, trains more, and gives up his childish dreams and thinks reality-KILL.

Yeah stupid theory, but did it for fun.

Okay, here's a theory, and sorry if it's been mentioned:

Remember Kaidou? The one who defeat Moria in the New World. Many people, myself included, instantly deemed him a possible emperor, but it just hit me that he may very well be the last one of the three admirals, Kizaru(Yellow Monkey)

It's pretty straightforward and I won't be surprised if it turns out to be true.

Why would Kizaru fight a shichibukai… shichibukai work for them... Unless Moria wasn't a shichibukai when he got his butt kicked by Kaidou...

Inless Moria was not not a warlord by then this is not possible but maybe he is an emperor and has a connection to kizaru.

Well, what you guys brought up may actually support my theory:

If Moria lost to anyone else(another pirate), he might very well be terminated on the spot. If it was by Kizaru, on the hand, he would stop after defeating Moria and let him go because the Bukais and Navy are semi-allies.

The admiral was probably only trying to stop his certain plan, but decided to let him live afterwards to keep the balance of 3 powers. After all, Moria wants to become the Pirate King~
