In your own interest, quit the frienship to these persons. Not because they have a negative opinion about the movie, but because the intellectual niveau of these statements doesn´t indicate that the friendship to this person is going to give you anything for your future life that you might consider valuable.

First thing's first, I gotta get some good progress going on the download before I can start the seeding. I'll be sure to leave it up for a while though, because I don't want anyone missing this.
This is by far my favorite One Piece movie. I love the animation & art style. It's got a certain "warmth" to it, that I didn't find in the other movies. The sceneries & fluid animation in the movie really compliment each other. The story while starting very humorous & silly in typical One Piece fashion, really starts to delve into a more darking theme. The importance of having Nakama/friendship in the world of One Piece really shows through the Baron character. Part of my soul was shred seeing Luffy against the impossible odds & near giving up. However it was so well done & so different than what I'd expect from a One Piece movie, that I'd have to give kudos to the writers for the movie. Of course, in the typical shonen fashion, Luffy overcomes his impossible odds. The ending was really touching as Luffy he sees his Nakama & gives a grin reminicent to that of when he defeated Crocodile in the series. By far the best One Piece movie for being more groundbreaking in animation & story when compared to the others. I really felt like I wasn't watching One Piece & that's a good thing.
It took a very long time, but it's finally out. Great stuff.
AHHHHH FINALLY!
After many hours of waiting (damn torrent ><) I finally have it! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA

Oh dear god how I lol'd. I think I died.
I just finished watching it and I love the movie even more than I did before. It's just a freakin' awesome movie, whether you don't like the art or don't think it's a very One Piece-ish story. And I love the soundtrack. It was nice to finally see a translation of the ending song too.
Cosmic's sentiments are pretty accurate. It's a "great movie", but not a "great One Piece" movie. Sure, it turns one of OP's major themes into something prolific, but it neglects the other OP stuff people just like more, namely, the cheap shounen power-ups/dumb humour and predictable plots.
That was a very great film and I'm glad to finally see it in such good quality after after watching that other sub that was slowly uploaded on YouTube about a year ago.
Ooh man, finally. I loved this movie. People complaining about how the art sucked can shut up; I'd much rather have the animation team go in an intentionally different direction with the art than have them butcher Oda's style like they usually do.
I'm also freaking pumped to finally see a translation of the ending theme. Best one out of all of them, imo (it made me a Kishidan fan), and the movie's ending transitioned into it perfectly.

I agree with every single syllable in that sentence.
Oh yeah, I just remembered something. Was Baron saying "The guy with the phallic nose" a K-F joke insert? What did he actually say? Whatever the case it made me bust up laughing in a somewhat serious scene.

I thought it was so amusing that I took a screenshot of it just for the subtitle.

In the.. HK subs? he said something about pinoccio.
Phallic nose was a little.. :D I didn't want to laugh, but I laughed.
Yes, it was more of a joke than a literal translation. But it seemed to fit the Baron's extremely dry and condescending speech style in that scene. The full word, sorippa doesn't come up in the dictionary, and it wasn't written that way in the novel adaptation (was simply nagai hana no otoko), but here is the root word rippa:
So, certainly not literal, but not impossible either. Yay Usopp!
Great movie, great translation, not so great release. 704x400? 2ch stereo sound? Not liking. The video resolution could be a little higher without sacrificing too much stretched video, and I know that the movie has a 5.1 mix, and I would much like to hear it.

Ah, I see. I know the word rippa. His phallic nose certainly is that.
I downloaded and watched it earlier today, I had already seen it on DVD and than saw another sub of it where they inserted a joke where luffy says "Chopper is not a otter he is a beaver" I thought he was just being stupid and I got a good laugh but instead it was just mistranslation, Anyway no matter how It's subbed or not subbed this movie was still awesome! Love with you guys did with the ending karaoke.
Awesome! I just finished watching the ol' HK version earlier, can't wait to see K-F's version!
This is definitly my favorite One Piece movie, hands down.
I gotta say, it was entertaining. Filler usually doesn't do that for me.
Best movie since Movie 4.
Is this the even/odd numbered movie rule that I've heard about? even numbered are the best?
Oh and it's in surround sound. When I heard the mustache guy talking to Luffy in the room with the small hot tub in the center, and I heard my speakers working, which had never actually had anything to play surround sound from, I was so happy I immediately paused the movie and moved them into a better position.
Yeah, the "phallic nose" made me lol'ed too… inappropriately. I seem to be surrounded by the word "phallic" lately. = =;
FINALLY! There's a GOOD translation of this movie so I can fully understand what the FRAG the characters are talking about! The thing that really drew me to this movie was the animation, which I recognized as being the same animation used for most of the Digimon movies, which were cool, because of all the stylized action presented in them. Often, I imagine what it would be like if the entire series was animated like this movie.
currently downloading I was expecting this to be over a gig, like the last couple of OP movies, but this is even better!
Yea, love the fact that the old kero guy was speaking in haikus, and then usopp started to speak in haikus, and the fact that those haikus were translated to haikus in english, that's a lot of skill right there.
Also now i understand why Nami was so angry at Usopp and why she slapped him. I never fully understood it before. Now I realize that she hated him for
1)leaving her. this thought was put into the minds by the kero old people
2)calling Nami the backstabber and that being her thing. I never thought that usopp would say that, but now it makes so much more sense why she slapped him again.
Thanks K-F, great movie, great subs.
Finally watched the movie. I would've had it sooner, but there was another massive download consuming my bandwidth. However, as soon as that one was finished, I got the movie in record time!
Quality stuff from K-F, as usual! WAAAAAAY better than that other one by a longshot! Definitely an enjoyable movie and I love how it does a total 180 and everything becomes so goddamn creepy!
Many thanks and props to the people responsible for this release!
PS: I loved how the end credits/karaoke were put together!
I kinda didn't like the ending. The sub-characters like Brief and Daisy were not really shown to have a future, if you guys know what I'm talking about. It's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't describe it. Like, the movie doesn't tell us what happened/what's going to happen to them after this movie is over.
Why do we need to know what happened to incidental characters? It's not about them. The same is true for all of the other movie-only characters.
Another thing I was surprised about was the quality of this movie. It's not on K-F-standard oO K-F has more skills ;) Maybe it was only because of a bad RAW ^^
Yea, I think the size of the file is smaller than norm for the movies. Quality loss was definitely noticeable though. I also kinda wanted them to sub the little thing that was on the DVD about what not to do during a movie.

I did notice that incredible decrease in quality, especially during some of the high action scenes and large crowd scenes. And there's really no need to shrink the DVD source video, as that will only ruin quality anyways with the compression. Another reason I'm upset with the release is that I know that there was a 5.1 track for the movie, and I was really hoping to put my 5.1 system up to this movie, but K-F has disappointed me with a stereo release.
Also that video amused me.
I dun think they ever released with the 5.1 track, so that is of no surprise. Would be nice though.
Chances are the best bet is to wait for FUNi for the video/audio quality.

No, they haven't released any of the movies in 5.1. Which is why I can't wait for FUNimation to release the movies onto DVD.

Yeah, but they usually tell us what happened to them after their adventure/ what will happen after they part ways with Luffy and the gang.
Yeah, but they usually tell us what happened to them after their adventure/ what will happen after they part ways with Luffy and the gang.
They never told us what happened to Shuraiya or the girl and her grandfather or uncle or whatever he was. I don't recall being told what happened to anyone else in any of the other movies either.
It's not like we need to care, either. C'mon, it's OP world. We all know that helpless victims and doomed villagers, after being saved by SH, will live a more or less happy life. Well, at least it's kind of the common assumption anyway. There's no need for the movie 6's minor characters to have a completely different fate from others just because they weren't shown to be sailing off to the horizon and waving stupidly.
I wish they'd sub movie 8 already. I can't wait for them to make the newest subs.
They're subbing everything in order, so you'll have to wait for the next two (or one, depending on how you count) story arcs to be over first. And movie 8 isn't even out on DVD yet.
Any of you notice how the left and right edges of the video are cut off on KFs release of movie 6? Its really annoying and makes it look low quality. I'm grateful for the release, just wish they could get their stuff back together.

That is a screenshot from KFs release of Movie 6 that I took with VLC. Notice how all the edges of the screenshot are black/blurred? Well its like that when watching the movie as well (throughout the entire thing), and its not supposed to be like that. That part of the movie picture is cut off. I tried it in a bunch of different players and it always looks like that. I noticed it as soon as I started playing the movie for the first time and its pretty distracting. Don't see why nobody else notices.

Because… everything I've ever seen on a DVD looks like that without overscan? And I've seen way more noticable cases on other DVDs.

What do you mean by overscan? And why does every other movie release KF did not have the black edges if they're supposed to be there? I bet I could find a raw of movie 6 and it wouldn't have part of the picture mising with the sides black and blurry like that.
Wow, this is my first time watching this movie, and it is probably my favorite. While I'm not a fan of the art style used here, it works well in this movie, probably because of the animation budget available. Also, it gets props for having a secondary movie-only character save Luffy at the climax

I'm almost positive that Vegapunk will end up subbing it first. Unless K-F starts subbing the upcoming episodes at warp speed

The animation had nothing to do with the budget, it was the style. The style of animation was great, I loved every second of it, not only was it fluid, but it was consistent, and those two things make it some of my favorite animation I've ever seen.
Oh, and Skull Kid, since I hate you that much for being a complete and utter failure at life, I'll post some DVD screencaps showing that almost ALL DVDs have some form of matting to them, especially if they're a movie. Matting guarantees that the whole frame is visible on the final video, the black bars you see aren't parts where the video was "cut off" as you say, but are infact the EDGES OF THE FRAME.
The fact that I pulled out my M6 DVD just to show you that you're BLATANTLY wrong makes me hope you'll admit you're a fucking retard shortly afterwards.
And the best part is… I PAUSED IT ON THE EXACT SAME FRAME.
So if you want to compare with my DVD source, which apparently has ALL 4 SIDES CUT OFF, do so, but you'll find it's the exact same framing.

What the heck is your problem? I simply said it looked like the edges of the frame where black and blurry and thought that it wasn't normal and might be cutting off the picture. You don't have to go ballistic. I was wrong I guess then. So what? So why does the frame have the edges blackened out on it then if its supposed to be that way? If you could explain it in plain English without going crazy that would be great.
Don't complain, Skull Kid. You're out of order for being fail.
