@Greg:
But um…they're made practically under the same roof. It has nothing to do about copying and more to do with, getting more for your buck by using two similar engines and development teams to create two similar games that can equally sell well.
Well fair enough it gives them more bang for their buck, but all I get is two very similar games. But hey, I'm not forcing anyone to think that way. That's just my take on it, I can't help it if I get a sense of deja vu while playing R & C. I also might as well add I prefer the jak and daxter series, so I may be slightly biased.
I could get them all free online but if I want them all on one system at a reasonable price I don't see anything wrong with it. In fact, $150 for a series where one game alone can take you 90+ hours to complete all the in's and out's is a steal. Releasing them bit by bit for full retail price as mini-compilations is a rip, but this is a remarkable deal for people that either don't own them (people are born every day and last I checked there wasn't a cut-off date for becoming a FF fan) or sold them and want to try them again.
Ah I forgot to write down the point of my post (I was sure I wrote it down). I forgot write owning those games separately for their respective system is highly profitable. Having the original also means alot to major fans of the series, but many fans will already have most of them.
Now I agree it's a steal for someone new to the series or for someone like you say, traded them in and wants them returned to his collection. I was just being a bit selfish, since I already own them all. This package is completely worthless to me and the fact it's easy money (sonic collection) annoys me.
What I find lame is the statement that there will be no additional material. There should be a shitload of extra material with unlockable content, interviews, etc. Not including something like that with a massive line-up of that calibur is a sin.
Haha totally agree here.
