Hallo!
I have only just recently returned from a weekend of exhaustive con-goings but unfortunately, while I have much in the way of new swag, very little of it is from One Piece. Alas, there just didn't seem to be much One Piece stuff this year; there were no figures that I didn't already have and the one legitimate jolly roger I saw was all too quickly sold out. There were a handful of Chopper plushies but I'm more of a figure person so I didn't bother to buy any and Sasuga wasn't here this year so there wasn't much by way of raw manga other than Kinokuniya, which I don't even bother to check much because they're local. I did go ahead and order both Color Walk 3 and One Piece: Yellow from them, though, so I should be getting both of those soon, along with the Movie Log Box which is already at the store being held by me.
But! I did not return completely empty-handed in regards to One Piece stuff. Hendane! had the third Music and Song Collection so I got that, and during tear-down Kinokinuya gave me something which I consider to be one of my two pride and joys from the exhibitors' hall this year: their One Piece promotional display. This thing is a few inches taller than I am, so I'm guessing that it's around 5'3"-5'4" or so, give or take, and I got it for pretty much, well, nothing.
!
In other, non-One Piece related news in regards to convention swag, I picked up all seven of the Trigun: Maximum Story Image Figures and a much needed glow in the dark Kuroneko lanyard, which brings my lanyard count to six now. Frighteningly enough, all but the latest is overladen with badges from previous conventions; hence the reason why it was badly needed. I also picked up two items for Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles: a keychain that is more cute than functional and the complete trading figure collection, in which Syaoran looks exceptionally like a chick. If I didn't know any better, I'd think that he was a girl that just liked to dress like a boy or something. I also got a whole slew of DVDs, far too many to bother listing out, and my second exhibitors' hall pride and joy, a Twisted Toyfare-esque doujin for what is essentially a Super Sentai Taliban. It's Gundam-Hussein, Robama Bin Laden and Hitler-in-a-Box joining forces to fight the evil mecha George W. Bush, and no, I'm not making this up.
!
Unfortunately, Andrew only had the fourth volume there but he said he'd look for the rest for me because I seriously want all of them. I absolutely luff this kind of head-breaking crack.
That's pretty much it for what I got, not counting free junk like shirts, posters or whatever else, or the stuff that I got for other people as gifts. I will more than likely be going to AX this year as well though, so hopefully I'll be able to find some more nifty swish One Piece stuff there.
RobinNami, if you want I can pick it up for you but you'll have to pay for the cost of the figure and the cost of shipping. The figure is around $7 or so, American, and the shipping will depend on where you live. Let me know if you're interested.
On PoP figures, I have not heard that any of the older PoP figures would be re-released, and it sounds pretty dubious to me overall. I'm betting that it's just some rumour or other because I seriously doubt that the older PoPs will ever get re-released.
