Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.
Wow, now I'm even more excited about that game. Hopefully it won't disappoint.
Haha, DESTROYMAN looks amazing.
Super Mario Galaxy can't come fast enough. Also, No More Heroes is looking excellent, the graphics are really interesting looking.
I'm having a problem with my Wii, the Wiimote isn't working for some reason, it has fresh batteries, and the sensor bar is plugged in, and I also pressed the little sync button on the inside of the batterie compartment, yet it still won't work. Any ideas?
Damn damn damn damn damn damn damn.
Super Mario Galaxy looks like the best thing coming onto the Wii both graphically and gameplay wise, and No More Heroes looks fantastic too. Super Mario Strikers Charged looks pretty fun as well. This year is going to be awesome.

Are you sure it's your main 1st controller? I have 2 and it only responds to the one I first used and the 2nd only works when I activate it for multiplayer.

No.
I can admit that I cannot find one at all. It seems that even this long after the launch, they fly off shelves as soon as they come in.
I work at Target, and I cannot remember ever seeing one sitting in the electronics section.
I've been looking for weeks, and no store I have been to has them.

Neither of them work, both of them turn on (as in the four dots at the bottom light up), but the Wii doesn't respond.
No.

Thank you.
The irony is enough to kill an elephant.
Well in my area, there are tons and tons of Wiis. And PS3s. I go to my local game or electronic store like fye and there they are, all in stock. They almost never run out. So, move here. Which is the east coast in northern New Jersey.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure you need to resync them.

I'll take Japan thank you very much. I'm from New Jersey anyway ;)
If they have that many would you mind picking me one up? I can send you a Money Order.

Heh, do people not play games in New Jersey? XP
You can't find any of 'em in my area, and when they do come in stock, they're flying off the shelves like, 2 minutes after they get put up.
I was fortunate enough to get the second to last one at a Target last Sunday though.
I work for WalMart here in FL. and we have gotten 200 Wii's since launch over a period of time. For the most part they are hard to find here in my part of FL. You can find PS3's fairly ok. We mostly sell peripherals for the Wii more than the system at my WalMart. I got my Wii from Target at launch.
Reasons like that I'm stunned.
Reports of system shortages for one company resulted in ganshing of teeth and for another it's positive. Hmmm.

Well, I'm 15 so I'm not sure if I'm eligible enough to do it. When I say that I mean I don't think my parents will let me. Especialy to someone online and they have never met before. :(
@TanikawaTofa
More 360 fans than Wii sadly.
Holy shit. SMG, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3, No More Heroes and Smash Bros Brawl actually make me want to shell out 250 euros for a waggle enhanced Gamecube. What am I doing? I must resist…
No More Heroes reminds me of a fully 3D Fear Effect.
Hated that game.
Mario Galaxy reminds me of the hidden levels from Sunshine. At least it did at first, what with a few sparse platform areas and little space to run around. Didn't really like that.
But as more and more expansive areas have been shown, it really looks interesting!!! Not sure if I'm thrilled about shooting Mario out of stars every 5 seconds, but it looks FAR more interesting that my first impression left me with.

Well I gotta say, to me this is looking really really good, and it looks like one of those games that will set standards again, like Mario64 did. Personally from what you see in all these trailers you can see that they make use of the Wii-mote rather well and the game just looks really great. I cant wait to play this game. Between this and SSBB I will be ok.
I dunno if any game will set standards like Mario 64 did. I mean, you do what? Fire from platform to platform? You could fire yourself at stuff in a lot of games. And you use the Wiimote?
M'kay…but you could use it in Zelda for accurate precision control (which I have yet to experience having tried only the beginner's pack). And once you've used it....that's that. The analog stick for Mario 64 was the first to help gamers experience a controllable virtual world in a new way. Zelda did that for the system as well. And now...more of the same. Nothing wrong with it, I just don't see it setting any standards the Zelda didn't already set in stone.
I think it looks like a lot of fun and way better than the first preview I saw of it. But I'm still having trouble swallowing the talk about how revolutionary everything is.

I had the same problem yesterday. I was playing Secret Rings when suddenly my controller stopped working. I turned the system off and back on again, and then the remotes wouldn't turn on. The lights flashed when you hit a button, just like it does when you hit a button and the Wii is off, but it wouldn't actually turn on. I left it for about an hour and came back and suddenly it worked again. It was very strange.
Holy crap, that happened to me too.
I wonder if that is some sorta bug that comes with the first products. Not like Nintendo to put out Next Gen with a cold -.-;

It's not revolutionary, it just looks really good for a Wii game and has a pretty original atmosphere for a platformer. The feeling of freedom when you're flying from planet to planet in huge space themed environnments must be great, reminds me a bit of Sega's Nights. And I love the music.

hmm…looks like it's a widespread problem : x
Are you remembering to change the batteries in your remote?
I was just a little nervous when I first saw the E3 demo and it seemed like a really sparse wasteland of space debris, and it looked like the cannons guided you from planet to planet instead of you actually controlling your flightpath, like some other people were, but I'm over that now.
Never played Fear Effect, so No More Heroes still looks awesome, if just because of the concept.

Hmmm….odd, I haven't checked it since Sunday, maybe it fixed itself. If it is widespread and occurs commonly, I wonder what it could be? The sensor bar is pretty fragile, so that might be the source of the problem.
April is a fangasmic month for games, Diamond and Pearl, Wii Cooking Mama, and Super Paper Mario. I'm going to be playing my wrists off.
Must… get... Super Paper Mario....
Three new Virtual Console games were just added:
Tecmo Bowl–NES
Sonic Spinball--Genesis
Double Dungeons--TG16
Are you remembering to change the batteries in your remote?
battery was fully charged when the wiimote stopped wroking
I had that problem once, Eggy. Try unplugging and replugging all the cords. Worked for me.

Ditto, little buddy. I loved the previous Paper Mario games.

I'm really partial to the art style and the fact that I can demolish a screen of enemies in one of Mario's oldest forms.
anyone play the new Warioware yet?
anyone play the new Warioware yet?
If you're talking about Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, coincidentally, I got it for free from my uncle who came to visit from Arizona yesterday because he felt that I should just have this game…just because.
But onto the game; IT IS AMAZING. And really random. :3
To own a Wii and not play that game is some kind of sin.

You totally said it; I've been mooching off my pal's game for too long. But now I too have an amazing game for my little console of wonder.

Tell that to Blockbuster who won't let me rent a damn Wii game without a credit card. I'm about sick of them and their stupid ass policies that they keep tacking on.
Then go buy the game
I like how a goofball from Maxis/EA claims Nintendo doesn't treat games as a proper artform
Nintendo fanboys are a scary bunch. You don't want to anger them.
He probably had legions of greasy guys in green tunics waving around $300 replicas of the Master Sword outside of his house for days after he said that
Hahahaha, oh wow, what a spineless little bitch. I love it when PR people have to backpedal like that.
Uh Oh!
Friend Codes for the Wii
http://gonintendo.com/?p=14563
Let the whining commence.
Edit: Apparently, I need to learn to read, it's game specific friends list. Though whether it means we'll use the universal code or game specific is yet to be seen.

FUCK YES!!
The hajime no ippo actually has better controls if you actually want to punch and shit, not that shitty point and click system! YES!

Wait, since when is GameSpy a Nintendo rep?
They handled the Nintendo WFC on the DS, and it was recently reported that they'll be doing the same for the Wii.
Ah, I didn't know that.
Well this doesn't really bother me as long as adding in people you meet online isn't tedious.

might be more stock in that original NiGHTS rumor than people thought
