I'm really hyped up for this game. I reserved in on Play-Asia (my first online purchase), and I should get it soons after it comes out. It really looks like they're putting a lot of effort into this one

I just wish I knew what the site said, though… I can't tell if Hamburg, Pickles and Porche are playable or just "helper" characters.

Look at the tournament bracket, on the right side, the guy who's against Zoro. I think it's Big Pan, I sure hope not.

Looks great, the groggy ring mini-game looks like it could be a lot of fun. I hope Aokiji is playable or at least unlockable in this, though I think any chances of the Water 7 cast being playable is looking unlikely, seeing as Water 7 wouldn't even have started airing by the time this comes out.

I'm pretty sure Porche is playable, not sure about Hamburg or Pickles though.

I've seen them both in screenshots.

I'd like Hamburg to be playable (he was one of my favorites out of Foxy's gang), but not Pickles. But if Foxy's henchmen are playable, I hope some others are as well (Jango, Mohji, Cabaji, Hatchan, Gedatsu).

I'm waiting until they make a game adaptation of Water 7. A question, are the games based on the comic or the animation ?

A little of both. The artwork is definitely anime inspired, but they don't use filler crap that's not in the manga (so no roller-skating, dodgeball, and red light/green light in Rush).

I think Going Baseball was more manga based, the official artwork was anime style but the ingame graphics used manga art. I loved when I'd see a character's portrait and be able to remember which part of the manga it was from.

Ugh… Like I said, I really hope that the other "minions" will be playable if they make all these damn Foxy Crew Members playable. I'm really overdue for getting to kick ass as Gedatsu and Hatchan.

Yes Cap'n Carter when they 55 characters they mean BOTH PLAYABLE AND NON-PLAYABLE, man... I want Shanks, Mihawk, Ace, Whitebeard and Aokiji be secret characters (playable) :lol:

I'm pretty sure they meant pan, as they pronounce it like that in the anime and not to mention he fights using BIG PANS. But bah… why's he gotta be playable?

Bah.. I just hope they have most of the characters from the previous Grand Battles. If the 55 includes the support characters, then I guess we won't be seeing all those guys I wanted playable... but they should be support, which would be fun. :D I'd probably play as Ohm or Ener or something just to have Gedatsu as my sidekick.

IGN has this game commercial. You need to be a member to download it. The commercial looks really nice. I can't wait for the game. It seems like they use GB3 engine which is really good.

And what's the gameplay like in Powerstone? People compare the GB games to it all the time, but I've never played it :/

Power Stone is slightly like Smash Brothers in that it has more of a "goofy" style of fighting instead of something like in Street Fighter or King of Fighters. The fights take place on a 3D plane with interactive environments, and every so often items drop in that the players can pick up and use against each other. Also, unlike Smash Brothers, characters have a life gauge.

I described the similiarites that GB and Power Stone share, there's a little more to Power Stone than what I said.

awesome. Buggy is sporting his second face-paint style. If the info on the page is correct, then looking at Zoro's finisher, it actually includes several techniques that then end in Sanzen Sekai. That's pretty neat.

Well, in the artwork Buggy has the second facepaint, but in the screenshots he has his first.

Out of all the supers so far, I like the Buggy Ball one the most (partially because I predicted it being a super). I also like how Foxy uses the FOKSHI FAITA and the Gorilla Punching machine. And Arlong using water for one of his supers… rad.

This is what I love about the Grand Battle games; they're always so thorough, picking up just about every detail.

Prolly cause it's neat to have him change. He's had three styles so far. I wasn't even aware that he changed styles until he appeared on the cover of 25 and something just looked…different.

Here's the box art. Luckily, Aokiji is on the box art which means we can unlock him. Nevertheless, there are no Hina, Wiper, Orm, Shank and Ace on the box art. I hope Bandai don't take them out.

Crocodile, Eneru, AND Aokiji confirmed!! Happy day. I wouldn't worry about Ace and Shanks, they have always been super secret characters in the past so I'm positive they'll be in there.

Awesome! They changed the box art.. Ener and Aokiji are confirmed. Not that I had any doubts about them before.

I wouldn't count out Shanks and Ace, since they've been in almost every game (and i don't think they were on the box art for the past two games either).

I kind of want them to take out hina, since I have no clue why they put her in in the first place. Wiper and Ohm… maybe, though if they have Ohm I'd like to see Gedatsu in it too.

But I really want PANDAMAN!
