Hokuto no Ken. I believe Raoh won in that one.
By the way, aren't there two endings for the Hokuto no Ken animated movie?

Captain kuro, I remember there was a huge torrent of raws. Although probably no one seeds now which is sad because I want to look at part 6.
I would just buy the bunko volumes, but part 6 doesnt have bunkos and my japanese bookstore doesnt carry the tankobans for jojo either =/
Part 4 was probably one of my favorites… I kind of liked the change because Part 3 seemed a bit too linear at times. plus, the Part 4 stands were much more creative and weird (in a good way), in my opinion.
But I still find THE WORLD to be the most badass stand, though.
question
! If jolyne in part 6's stand had to be activated by that compass thing then why wasnt it activated before. I mean Josuke's stand was born right off the bat if I remember right since his father was a stand user. Was it because dio died and so the "curse" on the joestars wore off. But giorno actived Gold Experience without having to be shot with an arrow too. So I figured if the stand user has kids and the kid is tough enough he gets a stand. How come jolyne's wasnt activated?
Speaking of which in part 6 does Jotaro fight any badass fights or is he pretty much talk/ jobb the whole time? I know many people might not know this since part 6 hasn't been scanlated, but yeah…
By the way, aren't there two endings for the Hokuto no Ken animated movie?
! Yes there was. One ended with Roah winning and another ended in a tie because of Rin stopping the fight.

! I think the Jostar's stands needed some way to be activated. When Dio came back to life, he activated Joatro, Joseph, Holly, and Josuke's stand. And remember that Josuke is older than Jotaro, Josuke wasn't born with a stand but he was destined to have one (I'm assuming that's what you meant, warp).
! As for Jolyene's stand not developing as fast, I'm guessing its maybe genetics of the female side of the Jostars or maybe she didn't have enough "fighting spirit" to activate and control her stand, like with Holly.
! didn't her stand not activate because it was literally trapped inside her? If you recall it came out of the hole in her Finger that the arrow made so maybe it was always there just no way to get out.

Josuke isn't older than Jotaro. He got sick while the guys were hunting Dio in Egypt.
Maybe the Joestar family has some sort of hidden instinct of evil arising that activates their Stand? Like Jolyne's activating when Pucci begins to become a threat.
Oh, and
! Jotaro's out of action most of part 6, due to Star Platinum being taken away by White Snake.
I m just a noob in Jojo but I like it like hell
I ve gotten to volume 19 (part 3)
SPOIL
I wanna know 1 thing : Will the ripple techn ever be used again?
I like the stands but the ripple was awesome
I don t like the fact that jotaro is stronger then josef right now.
Hamon is pretty much abandoned after Part III, since Joseph was the last known user of it.
I liked Part IV because, like Carter said, it wasn't as linear as III, and the stands were a lot more interesting (my favorites are probably Crazy Diamond, Heaven's Gate, Pearl Jam, and Super Fly), with more focus on the characters then in previous installments. Part V pretty much takes the best parts of the two and combines them, so assuming it doesn't nosedive in the last two volumes it'll probably end up becoming my favorite.
I haven't read any of Part VI beyond skimming the first chapter, and I've only read the first chapter of Steel Ball Run. I know that after Part III each saga has little to do with each other, but I want to finish Part V before moving on anyway.
! Though doesn't jotaro get back SP in volume 68 when pucci first appears or whatever. How long are we talking here?
God I wish I had part 6 raws….

I wish I had The World as Stand to help me with my job >_<.
Japanese question!
How is diavolo spelled out like that when it's spelled diabolo in japanese. I mean I can except the joruno thing, but diabolo is also a italian (I think) name. I mean I can except that it's diavolo, but there is officially a vo sound now in japanese. Why didn't araki just use that/ why is it diavolo?
Because he doesn't know the language?
^LOL could be true, that or he was just trying to give him a cool name.
BTW why did he name Alessi/Alessy's Stand Sethan again?
Sethan I think was in a few stories as a pedophile, hence Alessi's ability to turn people into kids.
As for his name, the Egyptian god is usually referred to as Seth or Set. There are other variations as well, although I've never heard of "Sethan" as one of them. Maybe he just thought it sounded cool that way or something.
Although after searching google, I found that the name "Sethan" is listed on this site as having the same meaning as Seth/Set:

^Ah interesting, thanks for the link.
I have a question do the Stands talk besides saying Ora Ora or Muda Muda?
That's actually Jotaro, Dio, and various characters' yelling that.
I think some stands "talk" in the sense that their users are talking through them. Spice Girl can actually talk by herself, though.
Oh yeah, Cheap Trick talks too.
Cheap Tricks the one that gets on people's backs right? been a while since i've read Part 4
Not to mention Koichi's Echoes Act 3. The best talking stand of all.
Act 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>> Act 3
by a longshot
Does anyone have any info on the song that plays during the Phantom Blood movie trailer? I must have it.
the title is on the trailer but the single isn't out till later in the month
Yeah, I forgot to look to see what it said in the trailer. Apparently it ain't coming out 'til the 23rd or something like that.
The Sex Pistols talk, too.
Act 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>> Act 3
by a longshot
Act 2 talked? I was only saying Act 3 was the best stand that talked.
I think it may have talked I just liked its ability alot more than Act 3's…
Did Anubis talk or was that just all inner monologues?
No, Anubis talked.
There was also that one guy's stand, Baby Face, in part 5 that was able to talk too
@warp-
About time made a sig like yours lol, though IMO, it should be Abdul saying it.
Yeah Baby Face talked as well.
What about Ebony Devil, Devo's Stand? …assuming he posses something OTHER than the doll, will it talk?
Well, in the game, Ebony Devil has a voice.
But I think it's just Devo channelling his voice through the doll and controlling it like a normal human. Similiar to Tower of Gray.
(Although that might have talked.)
Act 1 > Act 2 > *
I never understood why people never LOVED the two original Jojo's and their ripple-owning powers.
I did, but it got a little HNK-y.
Warp, how far are you in Giogio for the PS2 now? Has it gotten better or worse?
That Giogio game is pretty sweet.
Another Story is really cool, being able to use different characters in each stage.
Act 1 > Act 2 > *
I never understood why people never LOVED the two original Jojo's and their ripple-owning powers.
yeah I liked it alot too
But I m slowly getting into these stands, some of them are hilarious and you got to like how the author switched from one thing to the other without any explanation.
One thing bothers me though : the hamon/ripple technique should lenghten the life of a human and preserve his youth
so why is Joseph Joestar so OLD in part 4 ?? Is there an explanation for this in the later volumes??
Um…well...
He was 19 in 1928. Add on 58 years and we're at 1986, the site of Jojo part 3, where he's 76. Add on another 13 years and we're at part 4, where he's 89. I like to think that his Hamon powers allowed him to be so active when he was 76 in Part 3, and by Part 4 it's caught up with him.
I think that's right.
If you can remember back to part 2, then remember Straights was worried about aging despite his mastery of ripple.
yes Straights was worried because unfortunatly the ripple didn't give him youth like the mask did
and yeah you re probably right demon days
I just hoped that the ripple gave you more time to live like 2 times a normal human being.
100 years is a normal human age . I hoped for some 200 years or something but it s ok.
Does stand power give you some superhuman traits , like healing faster and stuff, or not?
Yeah, I can see what you mean. But it doesn't really matter, since…
! The universe is reset at the end of Part 6, in 2012. xD
Well, the Stand power itself is a superhuman trait, but apart from that, I don't think so. Unless Araki forgetting that his characters have mortal injuries after 2 pages counts.
Wait I thought Part 3 took place in 1989-
Dio kills Jonathan in 1889
Part 2 ends by 1939
Part 3 start in 1989
Oh, I guess you're right then.
Even so, that still makes Joseph 80 in part 3 and 90 in part 4, yet he's still able to pull off amazingly acrobatic stunts.
What the fuck are you guys talking about? Joseph was like 69 in part 3.
19 in 1939, then 50 years later. He's 69. My grandpa is about 70 and he's in pretty good shape. It's somewhat believable and considering he had hamon abilities….so yeah.
Oh. I thought BT happened in 1928.
BT happens everywhere I've looked in the 1930's so yeah hes an old guy.
