It's stupid either way! I mean, I can't think of a good name, but King of Beasts is better than 1000 Sunny! And is 1000 Sunny a translation or is it katakana?

You mean Hiragana. Katakana is regular written words. Hiragana is used for names, particularly foreign names like the way they say Going Merry and such.
And 1000 Sunny Days doesn't sound nearly as stupid as just "1000 Sunny".

i think "going merry" will be a good name , 'cus so they don't forget the tim with the first ship…
and a tribute to usopp
if im right back then that merry guy from usopps island gave the ship to luffy, and usopp was supose to "part ways" and start his own crew. i think im right. need to watch that episode. if im right its not a tribute to usopp >>

The name is "1000 Sunny" or "Sunny-go". Personally, I'd rather it be "1000 Sunny Days".

Actualliy it's vice-versa: Hiragana is for native words, Katakana for foreign language words.
