Talk about Thanksgiving here.
I'm not too fond of Thanksgiving. It's my least favorite holiday (I'm not a big eater). But my family LOVES food. They're not pigs, they just love food. They think it's god's gift to the world. They embrace food when eating. They treat it like it's the most important thing ever. And when they see food, they must eat food. I'm not like that at all, so my family sees me as freakish.
Anyway, back to the topic. My family loves Thanksgiving. To them, it's the most important meal of the year. They all get together (mom forces me to come too) and prepare so much food. And you have to have a lot of everything, that's the rule with my family. When I was younger, I wasn't given that much to eat since my stomach wasn't that big. But as I grew older, they gave me more and more food. And now that I'm an adult, they will expect me to eat as much as them. I can't remember a Thanksgiving where I wasn't crawling on the floor with 1 hand, the other clutching my chest, with my head down on the floor and my stomach feeling like hell.
But I understand the true meaning of Thanksgiving, the pilgrims and the Indians. I think that it's important, but I don't think that my family's version of Thanksgiving is.
