Mmm, I am really a little lost with this chapter and Getwo´s plan in general, gonna reread it a couple of times.
Jujutsu Kaisen

First time: He aligns with Yuuji's likes so much that he imagined a whole life with him and is crying tears of happiness!
Second time: He's having a seizure while his brain gets rewritten. -
While Choso is definitely the latter, Todo was probably both.

Mmm, I am really a little lost with this chapter and Getwo´s plan in general, gonna reread it a couple of times.
OG Geto wanted to get rid of us monkeys, Kamo Geto seems to want to recreate an era of cursed energy.
Nice info that Japan is the only place abundant with sorcerers. -
i think it's time to reread the whole thing 'cus this chapter made no sense to me whatsoever…how can the links the villain stablished with some few people turn out building a new age of cursed era...? maybe i'm just dense.
-
Wait so Larue works for her? she must have sent him to keep a eye on Geto from the beginning, wonder if she knew this would happen,
also one of the marked people was Megumi's sister maybe the other one was Itadori former classmate Yuko that would be interesting to see.Hopefully next chapter Yuki will say who this Brain is

He gave a cursed object to Tsumiki for her to gain curse energy and used Mahito's iddle to modify her into a vessel similar to what Itadori is, as for the new era is just the chaos that will be born of this
At least thats how i understood it -
All the things point to the Brain being OG Kamo, he wants to go beyond human evolution/curse evolution (as per Choso and his brothers) and is using the chaos created by the plan created while using Geto's body to achieve it.
-
Yeah i think i will not continue reading this manga for long. Everything is ununderstandable and i don't want to lose my time reread or read comments that try to explain to me what is happening
-
All the things point to the Brain being OG Kamo
I mean his real identity, Kamo was just one of his many bodies like Geto is now, sure Yuki must know something
Could he be related to the monk used for the prison realm?

Its not that hard IMO, nothing said in this chapter come out of nowhere

It's really not that complex but I did have to do a second take on some of the speech bubbles.
Could be a translation issue although lines with Getwo always seem more complicated than it is.To explain, remember how Megumi's sister suddenly fell victim to a curse he didn't understand? There was this chapter way back then where it shown the mark on her foreheard.
That was Getwo's work.
Basically there are two ways to manipulate/create cursed energy in human beings with no potential or have sleeping potential in them.
1. Through inserting cursed items (Sukuna fingers for instance) into their bodies.
2. Getwo + Mahito's (I'm not 100% but I'm speculating that Mahito's technique allows this) to tap into non-cursed energy humans and give them cursed powers (see: Junpei).Getwo has been setting this up for years (as with Megumi's sister and you know, him being afk for a while). Mahito is probably not the first ever cursed user with flesh manipulation abilities so whoever he worked with years ago helped set it up. Basically people out there either unknowingly/forcibly swallowed cursed objects or underwent what Mahito did to Junpei.
Now with this "unbinded", they snapped out of their dormant state and gain strong cursed powers and Getwo believes they will use them to create chaos.
The reason why he thinks this way is because the cursed objects he inserted into normal humans actually are souls of past sorcerers who were working with him (it likely won't take long for a complete takeover of the host's body, not everyone is itadori) .
Which is why the golden age of curse is going to come back, because back in his age those evil sorcerers are likely insanely strong. -
Mahito's ability change the soul, basically the plan was that: create new vessels, and using a maximum Mahito Uzumaki Idle Transfiguration to change the soul of those with latency to become sorceress to actually become.

wait so that's…that's inbreeding right?
I mean Maki's grandfather is Ogi Zenin (wiki says different but that was a translation error) who is Naobito's brother.
and Naobito is Maki's father (as reported by the untranslated databook.) Ogi Zenin's daughter gave birth to twins, that makes the father Naobito.
So it was niece incest, if I'm on the right track.
Zen'nin sexism and dated philosophy seems to support that theory too. -
We're gonna get some answer by Tengen finally it seems
im also confused about the Zenin family tree now, maybe that flashback in the goodwill event was a minstranslation because all this time i thought Ougi was Maki and Mai's mother
-
Not a bad chapter, but I am a little lost with Toudou´s teacher, I feel that the author should have introduced her a little earlier. Looking foward to the next arc though, Itadori and Megumu reunion will hurt me a lot.
A pity that the Zenin grandpa is dead, since none of the new zenins really tell me anything, Naoya looks like the kind of character that the author wants us to hate so eventually we enjoy seeing him getting his ass kicked.

Zen'nin sexism and dated philosophy seems to support that theory too.The wiki is now putting Ogi as Maki and Mai's father. But I wouldn't put past your assumption, if anything if seem more right - given Maki asked Naobito do leave the clan.
So the Zenin are the inbreed family, the Kamo are the ones with the Menguele in their ranks, who is the third great sorcerer family? -
who is the third great sorcerer family?
Gojo, hopefully we see more members of them in the next couple of chapters

By the way this is the Itadori execution arc

I'm so confused about this story. I think I need to start over.

Feeling the same sentiment right now. I caught up with the manga when it was in the middle of the Shibuya Incident Arc and only started reading weekly after that. Imho the arc just went on for far too long because I'm still hella lost at the moment. Maybe it's been too much focused action to throw in so many far reaching, world building events right after it? Just a guess, but I will have to reread at least said arc in a small(-er) time frame and hopefully that will get me back into the loop.
On the other hand I'm enjoying the anime a ton right now. Looking forward to it each week, especially now that the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc is kicking into high gear! :)

I think it only really started to get confusing in the last few chapters. It didn't help that we seemingly jumped ahead in time to the end of the battle. We went from Getwo unleashing a bunch cursed being using Mahito's powers to a few days later with all of Tokyo infested with curses and seemingly everyone who was about to fight Getwo now being safe and away from the fight? But we don't know how they got away, just that they somehow did.
It also didn't help that Yuki seemingly showed up out of nowhere. I actually thought it was Mei Mei at first because they both have the same hair colour and figure, and both Mei Mei and her brother seemingly vanished form the story as they were about to battle Getwo.
The last few chapters being structured as they have been has just made it confusing to follow, hopefully it should all be explained soon.
-
Yuki was working with Laure, and we don't know what the Kyoto kids wanted Utahime to charge up to do. So is safe to say that whatever plan both sides had, they managed it while Kamo Geto left the building with Uraume.
The higher up blamed Geto "being" alive into Gojo didn't doing his job and turned it into him being an accessory to the incident, Yaga is to commit seppuku for his students crimes, and the higher ups brought Okkotsu - the only special grade left at their control - to kill Yuji.
Then we moved to the Zenin update, Maki is barely alive while Naoya is talking to her mother how he would want to bang both her daughters and kill Maki for being insolent before the will of Naobito is reviled to, Naoya, Ogi and Jinichi.
Meanwhile Megumi is on the hunt to find Yuji, while Yuji and his new bro are hunting curses. Now Yuji is being targeted by Okkotsu and Naoya and Megumi by Naoya.Come on guys, that simpler than Togashi's wall of texts.

Pariston already explained pretty well but for the sake of it:
Brain was the one to fled because he didnt bother to fight Yuki there now that he accomplished his plan if everyone present tried to fight them it would have only lead to their deaths, maybe it was Utahime who saved them with her tecnique or Larue.
We saw both Mei and Ui a few chapters back they're in Kuala Lumpur thanks to Ui Ui's cursed technique since they couldnt beat the curses Brain used against them.
The transitions in this manga arent as detailed as others but still pretty clear ihmo, like that time on Hidden Inventory.

I know what happened. What I'm saying is I understand why people are confused because it is just jumping around.
Like the Mei Mei and Ui Ui thing was super random because we go from seeing them getting ready to fight one chapter and then 10s of chapters later suddenly they are in a hotel room in Kuala Lumpar and its not very clear why and when you reading that chapter on its own its not clear why we are even seeing this. It's only when you go back and reread it all as one thing that you realize the purpose of that scene is to explain what happened. To them.
Same for them jumping from the fight to 2 days later. We are told what happened but its still jarring to not see it happen, especially in that case because it felt like the fight was just starting.

Love the panels this week.
And here we goooooooooooooo -
Damn, Choso is really growing on me, hoping he doesn´t die. Also, curse that timing, I want to know if Itadori is really scar-dude child or not.
And I guess the asshole can increase his speed somehow, I wonder if there is more to it.
-
Super fast chapter i love those
Wonder what Naoya technique is, first i thought i would be projection like Naobito but he didnt freeze neither of them so it could be something different
I expect a good beating from Yuta and Rika (if it is really her)
-
Bet's on who gonna be bro downed: Yuta or Rika.
-
So the latest episode was awesome and next week we're having the baseball match.
But did I count right, Yuji hit Hanami with Black Flash 5 times during the fight? -
Yep, 1 last episode and 4 in this, matching Nanami's combo.
-
According to an interview JJK ends in 2023, if all goes well.
-
I hope Yuta gets punched in the face.
Not because I don't like him but because it will be funny because he's so edgey now. -
Instead of having bonding moment via dream realm with Yuji, Yuta will have an hallucination seeing Yuji been buddy with his pals.
-
Got into this series last week, finished it within two days, absolutely amazing. Can't get enough of it.
Also latest chapter, so Gojou never runs out of cursed energy, interesting.

- Sukuna was a living human, a curse user
-Sukuna and Uraume have known each other for a millennium.
- The reaction of Geto's body to Gojo's words is like a dragonfly moving the body after beheading

Some more:
[hide]- Yuuji's parents, Choso, and Noritoshi Kamo are connected- Sukuna has a specific purpose for keeping Megumi alive- the false memories have a purpose but they're not Yuuji's ability- Gojo went to see Yuta overseas- GOJO'S GETTING OUT OF THE BOX
The Three Great Families all existed in the Golden Age 1000 years ago, and that's where they made their name to BECOME the Three Great Families.
The Six-Eyes/Limitless combo is even more rare than we thought. Last one was 400 years ago. Probably the guy who died in the duel with the Zen'in head. Gojo is the current clan head of the Gojo clan.
The Zen'in built their strength around bringing in a bunch of people with strong ass techniques and making sure they get passed on. Thats why they value inherited techniques so much. It's literally the basis of their clan and their power. Naobito's technique is an inherited technique.
The Kamo clan is the most traditional minded of the Big Three. And so they are very close to the higher ups of the sorcery world. They are descended from the Onmyoji who made a name for themselves in the Golden Age.
Q: Who is the most popular male and female?>A: Geto, Miwa.
Q: Among the school employees, sorcerers, and curse users, is anyone married?>A: Yaga Masamichi, divorced.
Heavy drinker: Ieiri, followed by Nanami>Bad drunk: Utahime, followed by Naobito>Doesn't drink: Gojo
Q: Do Itadori and the first years hang out together a lot on their days off? (Karaoke, Chinatown, Tachikawa) >A: I feel like they do hang out a lot, but (including the second years) they tend to split up by males/females.
Q: Itadori is the best at cooking amongst the first years, but who is better at cooking between Fushiguro and Kugisaki?>A: About the same. They can both cook to a certain degree.

Oh yeah I do remember Kubo having such a diverse and strong female cast I can name all 2
this guy jobbed her strongest female villain and made her a reproducing unit and talks about strength in her female characters
literally only just Rukia -
LMAO Kubo really thinks he covered Bleach's lack of interesting female-leads with Burn the Witch…? Kinda ballsy to talk like that when you have nothing to show for...
-
It actually annoys me because Kubo cannot find any attractive female characters in a series with arguably the strongest female characters (in terms of characterization and depth) that is running in jump.
I mean I get the "insert japanese woman sexism point" of his generation but come on, it wasn't even a prevalent thing during his run.
I'm not fighting for any social rights but man the nerve of that guy. -
Talking about Nobara or Maki? Well doesn't matter i'll take both as answer.

Said it many years ago before I took my hiatus from the forum but everybody back then said we shouldn't judge a person by the quality of his art. Well after this interview I only see my opinion strenghtened. Kubo is an idiot! Not much more to add to this.
Also to actually talk about this manga. Kinda sad to hear that it will end in 2023 already if everything goes well but I'd take it if it means that the author can finish the story as he desires without the publisher extending it to milk it. There's lots of series I read but this is the first time that I'm actually getting vibes that my top 4 favorite series can actually become a top 5. Really, really like the series so far.

Naoya being dumped on this early was a pleasant surprise.
I hope he sticks around because I actually like him as someone to hate.
Yuta casually punching Chouso sure shows why he was said to have the closest potential to become the next Gojo.
