Watched the new episode. I tend to forget sometimes that One Pace is more about speeding up the pacing than it is about necessarily cutting filler. There was a good bit of filler in this last episode (seems like each episode was only cut 3 minutes this time around), but it was good filler, so they left it.
One Pace

I'd prefer tighter cuts. Filler is the devil and pacing is painful even in one pace now.

There's almost nothing in Wano 14 left in "just because". It's a dialogue heavy episode with very little action.
Even the long filler scene in the beginning was left in only because of the canon lines between Zoro and Yasuie that are cut from the later conversation. We won't make cuts that aren't consistent with the music and natural pace of the scene.
There's not much tighter than this:
-
I figured there was a reason you left those in. That and the Usopp meeting Otoko scene. But to the other guy’s point, yeah, this episode did feel a bit slow—not One Pace’s fault. More the content and necessary restrictions you mentioned.
Huge thanks to you folks as always.

I get that its toeis fault

Thank you for doing a subbed only pack, but when I click on it I get a "403 forbidden" page, is it only me? I've tried searching for it on One Pace's site but I can't find it.

Unfortunately, Zippyshare is blocked in Italy. You'll have to download the torrents or use a VPN to access. Keep in mind the Zippyshare links are hardsubbed mp4s, rather than softsubs.

Should have thought about that, my bad, thank you. Is there a pack with softsubs and only original audio?

No, and we won't be making one like that. Japanese is the default audio option in the MKVs anyways. The English dub only adds 20mb to the file size.

Ah cool that y'all have dual audio. I'm curious how that would work though, like in editing where both versions kept in mind? Because while the dub is close its always possible that something you could cut in the sub version couldn't be cut in the dub. Regardless grateful that this is a thing. The condensed dub edit made by that one guy is very sloppily edited compared to your guys output. It would be cool to have dub versions of the other arcs although cutting sub only arcs that havent been done yet are the priority, understandabley so.

-
Awesome, another complete arc ticked off! Thanks for the dedicated and hard work these past few months knocking this one out, team!
-
Hey, I'm just curious what the order of priority is for arcs, like after you focusing more on poorly done arcs or just whatever?
-
Why didn't you guys make Baratie?
-
Hey, I'm just curious what the order of priority is for arcs, like after you focusing more on poorly done arcs or just whatever?
It seems like they're currently more focused on doing the arcs that haven't been paced.
Why didn't you guys make Baratie?
They do the arcs in whatever order they feel like, but the events of Baratie still haven't aired completely uncut in any form so that's probably a factor.
-
The torrent file for Skypiea says 237-303 covered in 5 parts. However, the 5 downloaded files only cover from 237-246. Is this a naming error?

Skypiea is incomplete. It's just a batch torrent of the 5 episodes we released before the arc went on hiatus.

I love that the Arlong Park pacing is Dual Audio! But there were wasn't a Song & Signs subtitle track. It doesn't make a difference 90% of the time, but those first few episodes where everything has a title card, it can get annoying.
https://www94.zippyshare.com/v/y3IRnkoo/file.html
I made some Songs & Signs. It's basically just the subtitle track One Pace made but all the dialogue and stuff is deleted. I deleted the lyrics too but only because the opening was dubbed and the Japanese lyrics are different from what Vic is singing.
I kept the editing credits stuff at the beginning cause I felt that's fair. -

What does this mean? Baratie was abridged already in the anime and is missing scenes from the manga?

I think he's referring to how Zeff ate his foot in the manga, but in the anime he lost it rescuing Sanji. I don't think that's the reason One Pace has skipped out on it that, as they have never been shown to care about other censorship like Whitebeard losing half his face.

I see, thanks! Wasn’t aware, though I had heard of the WB face thing.
Also, thanks for Wano 15!

-
Generally speaking, you guys tend to cut 5-8 minutes off each episode, right? Not including theme song.
Sometimes this works beautifully and the pacing is perfect; other times, through no fault of your own, it would be impossible to re-edit the pace of this anime well without reanimating entire scenes. I expect that to be the case for some of the upcoming prison episodes, which are just so bloated you’d have to take a blunt axe to them to keep them moving steadily.
-
Finally watched the latest episode. Great work, guys! Super tight and fun.

For some reason, Wano episodes wont play for me. At first I thought they changed something in the way they make their torrents, but new episodes from other arcs still play normally. it seems to be only Wano that is giving me issues. Does anybody understand the issue and can help me out?
-
I can't seem to download via torrent (last 3 episodes of Arlong Park arc and Loguetown arc). Can somebody please help me?
EDIT: Ok, problem solved. My stupid ass finally knows how to download from animetosho and zippyshare.

Try Media Player Classic if VLC doesnt work, or vice versa

Wano 15 is out!
How many minutes, on average and not including the theme song, do you folks cut from each Wano episode?
-
https://animetosho.org/view/one-pace-928-930-wano-15-1080p-ae6abe84-mkv-v2.n1262119
Here, at Zippyshare part, it says there's part 1, 2 and 3. It's kinda impossible that the episode's size went from 290 MB (720p) to 1.18 GB (1080p). So, what's the difference between them?
-

It's pretty impossible to estimate this. It varies. On average, 3 Toei episodes are put into a 30-38 minute episode. It all depends on the amount of dialogue in the episodes and respective chapters.
Little Garden 1 is out! It's dual-audio just like the Arlong Park batch.

Hm. So 66 minutes gets knocked to 30-38. That’s about cut in half. Jeez. Nice work.
And thanks for dual-audio on LG! I’ll start rewatching it with your dub edit now. Thanks! I’m super in support of these recent dual audio moves.

I wonder if it's possible to dub the arcs already edited. I mean, you'd have to go back and do the exact same edits. Maybe they'd just have to do the arc all over from scratch? I feel like it's something they'd only try to do once all the pre-timeskip arcs have been paced.

It's definitely possible. For example in a German forum, 1-2 episodes of One Pace with German dubbing are released every week since July 2019. But from my point of view as an external observer it is unrealistic that the official One Pace team would do this in addition to their actual project.

Thanks for the new episode. It's getting really exciting

Also very excited for this Wano episode. Can’t wait to see the party scene next episode, which is one of my favorite scenes in the arc.

Possibly since the encoder was changed to use chroma subsampling 4:2:2
This causes serious issues if your devices uses hardware decoder such as Raspberry Pi 4
I would love for One Pace to go back to 4:2:0 so that it would work on RPi, Chromecasts, FireSticks etc without having to personally transcode every episode.
For reference the last episode of WHI that works on RPi4 with HW decoder and 4:2:0
