Can't tell what's happening in this chapters fight scenes

To be honest, I started the series because of the MJ meme. I was also getting recommended from youtube. So, I decide to give the anime a watch.
The first few episodes were clunky, it had issue with pacing & info dumping (the biggest culprit is the reveal of the demon slayer corp & it's organisation structure). But the premise works enough to keep me watching (& Nezuko). I feel like the series really got into groove during the drum demon arc. The animation of the drum fight was amazing. And the spider mountain arc happens (episode 19 was god tier) & I got hooked on the series.
I'm fully caught up with the manga & we are now into the final battle (which will easily last till next year or even next next year). It's a good timing.
I hope they continue animating the series after 26 episodes. Because I can't wait to see some of the fights being animated.
Some thoughts of mine.! This series is very generous with the sob story of the demons. I kinda have mixed feeling of it.
On one hand, I'm very glad that Tanjirou acknowledge that human eating demons have to be slayed and cannot be forgiven. He can still get the job done but can feel sympathetic for their plight when they were human. The series never lets your forget that these demons had killed so many people and they got their punishment as a result. The backstories are just a way to show that they used to have humanity in them. By slaying them, they can finally move on to the afterlife & reunite with their loved ones. It also showed how kind Tanjirou is.
! On the other hand, I kinda dread that some of the absolute scumbag demons were gonna get a sob story. Mainly, because I don't want to feel sympathetic for those scumbags. I'm grateful that Hantengu & Doma didn't got it because they were absolute scum even as human.
! Regarding the current battles:
-It was absolutely satisfying to see Doma died. I kinda figured Shinobu will poison herself & when he absorbed her into the body. He will die as a result. And Shinobu seeing him in the afterlife was the icing of the cake.
-I personally didn't like Zenitsu fight with his senior. It was honestly kinda random & that guy only showed up 1 time in Zenitsu's flashback. I only remember who he was because I watched the anime a day before.
-I'm gonna be absolutely pissed if Nezuko sit out the final battle against Kibutsuji & spend the time in the background slowly turning back into human. While she does get to participate in the fights, she always get knocked out & in the end her contribution is not that significant.
Just let her & Tanjirou have the final blow against Kibutsuji.
-I hope the 'blue spider lily' shows up soon. -
I don't really mind that the demons have a sob flashback. It shows that life is not black and white and people who do evil do not always do it purposefully.
It also help showing Tanjirou is relatively unique as most of the other demon hunters are not able to see this side of the demons. -

Main character hypocricy is why I despised Thorfin from Vinland saga in the beginning. He was seeking revenge for the murder of his father by also killing other people's fathers and facilitating the murder, rape and pillaging of innocent people.

Almost there

As a current anime only guy, does the highest slayer squad deserve all their praise they've got? Because right now it looks like they can talk big, can easily kill one of the twelve, but can't find or kill Kibutsuji (the actual threat).
-
Yeah they do, but we probably won’t see this season. As finally catching up with the anime, the animation is pretty amazing.

you know two of the pillars already and can see they are way above Kanjiro level

Hmm. Stuff updated on the shonen jump app already.
That attack was super effective.
-
Good, we needed a flashback to further explain UM1.
-
Now this is where the series shines, flashbacks that give the characters depth and allow you to sympathize with them and help you understand their motivations, can't wait to see what happens next

Before anyone shoot me down, the translation is misguiding. It's still "they" not 'he"I thought it was common knowledge she's a woman?
Or am I missing something?

probably the translator was the only one who didn't know…

! Lots of things going on, Six eyes is down, lots of red swords, Tokito is in half, more Genya gore.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
https://mangadex.org/chapter/713058
And then there were two left. -
Thank freaking hallelujah.
! With red eyes he was even creepier.
-
What a fight.
! i seriously doubt any of them will be fighting against Muzan with those injuries. Maybe they will buy time or sacrifice for a fatal blow with their remaining lifespan.
Won't be surprised if one or two of them is offed after this fight.
UM 4's fight will probably be a short one once the trick is figured out by the pillars.
We're finally towards the end. -
I still wonder if there is a new UM5 hiding somewhere. If not, why? I find it odd that only UM4 and UM6 would be replaced.
-
There definitely is. If I had to guess UM5 is either tasked with taking out the leaders and will fight the Ninja guy or, more likely, they're tasked with capturing Nezuko and bringing her to Muzan. Even if Nezuko has been given the human turning drug there's no way she won't be involved in the final fight somehow. It needs to be Tanjiro and Nezuko vs Muzan imo
-
I'm doubting that UM1 is dead. Seem a bit too easy.
Cutting off their head is not a sure sign that they are dead especially for fights against the Upper Moons.
He has also yet to meet Tanjirou who has his brother's earring & katana. Seem like a missed opportunity if he really died.
RIP Mist Pillar-dude got cut in half. Will be a stretch if he can survive that. -

RIP Mist Pillar-dude got cut in half. Will be a stretch if he can survive that.I know what you mean to say but I chuckled when you said "Too easy." 2 dudes are cut in half one was already missing a hand. They had one of the strongest pillars fighting him. It's 4v1 and they only just knocked off his head.
I feel like he'll transcend like Akaza was going to. But he will probably leave or something. You're right he should meet Tanjiro. It's honestly hard to tell where this will go. If this series was longer I would say this is the last arc but there's still more that could be covered.
-
On reddit someone mentioned a blue spider lily arc.
But I honestly feel thats too much of a stretch and am perfectly fine with the story ending with Muzan.
Although characters can still feel a tad underdeveloped but anything more feels redundant.
The question now is how the hell are they going to bring him down without it feeling like an asspull. -
I don't think they'll being him down at this arc. Or UM1 either. I feel like they along with 4 will escape. They've already taken big hits on both sides. And UM1 still hasn't met Tanjiro. I feel like that is supposed to happen.
-
It's a pity that S1 ends this weekend.
! And now we finally finished UM1

It is announced that Kimetsu no Yaiba going to have anime film:
-
I can't see the video, but is Fire Bro getting his own movie?
-
Exciting news. I can't wait to see the train arc animated.
How much more awesome than this season can the adaptation be with a movie budget ?
ufotable really delivered one of the best adaptation ever made and I really hope they continue until the end.
The train arc is short enough to make the movie adaptation well suited for it.
Plus that would allow the season 2 to have enough episodes to focus on the next 2 big arcs without having to rush anything.
-
Literally Hype Train the Movie.
-
You know what this means bois
…
We have to wait an additional year after its domenstic release which is a very very long time.
At least with the anime we get same day :( -

Woah. That is a great season finale. The infinite fortress was always one of my favourite location. Seeing it in anime form was just amazing. And the teaser at the end with the opening song playing was the icing on the cake.
Interesting that they chose to adapt the train arc into a movie. At least we know the animation will be fantastic.Regarding the manga
! Guess I'm partially right. Cutting off his head didn't kill him since he is literally regrowing his head back. But looking at his own reflection as a monster, he realise this is not what he wanted. And with the flashback/'regret speech' & his younger brother waiting for him at the afterlife. Yep, he's dying.
I still think UM1 fight felt short compared to UM2 & UM3. Maybe it's just the jumping around the fights that make it seem that way. To be fair, it was also a 4 vs 1 fight so it felt 'shorter' as a result. -
! for some reason I really wish Tokito is not dead. i liked that guy way more than Genya.
It will be refreshing(for a lesser choice of words) for once to have the younger generation die, seeing how the other two rock and wind took lesser damage compared to Tokito and Genya.
UM1 was that much of a beast that UM2 felt weak in comparison but then there was the poison and shinobi did die early..
I'm glad there's no forced event with Tanjirou appearing. It would feel too much of a cliche and it's safe to say that their link is not that relevant to be a plot point. -
Well, UM1, you FINALLY realized how fucked up you are:
https://manganelo.com/chapter/kimetsu_no_yaiba/chapter_176 -
All the Shinobu x Tomioka memes are making me appreciate him more hah
! So the chapter seems to be another flashback from UM1, Yoriichi was crazy strong since he was a child.
-
New chapter.
-
Man this UM1 dude is a real piece of work.
! there's something about how the author writes the characters and their stories, this grime and dark underlying tone that feels human.
It really fits well with pre Edo japan and the darker side of it's culture and history, beautiful it may seem. -
Man, we're still going on about this? Just get over it, UM1.
-
-
! Damn UM1 ended up having a soft spot for his bro after all.

UM1 dies of shame after being exposed as a brocon
https://mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/viewer/1005633 -
Why does he make you feel miserable, UM1? Because you're a dick.
-
UM1's backstory is a cautionary tales of taking a sibling complex too far. While I don't exactly feel sympathy for him since he is the one who bought it upon himself (& he is super petty for not letting go after hundred of years), it is a tragic situation especially for Yoruchi. He just wanted to have a sibling relationship with his elder brother.
It's a shame that he didn't get to meet Tanjirou thought that would just make him spiral into madness further. -
After 2 years of wait, finally the 4th tome is out in France.
-
So is the manga worth reading, still keeping up it's quality?
I also haven't seen the anime yet.

Yes it's worth reading and watching.
