Captain Yami!
Who is gonna bet that the power of love will play somehow?

Yeah I could see that happening and I'd be okay with it lol.
Can't believe people think this is the last arc. We still have 2 of the Great Spirits and the other 3 Kingdoms to explore. We just had Julius death which will open up other plotlines.
The reason it's possible for it all to end there is because if Asta saves the kingdom then he just might reach his goal and becomes magic emperor right here at end of this arc.
I doubt that they would give him the title here.
Yeah there's still people ahead of him more skilled and better qualified to lead. Asta hasn't made himself that well known by the majority of civilians and nobles. Also now that I think about it. Asta is kinda a dumbass. He's suited to the fighting but it would kinda suck to see him in a position like Naruto (handling paperwork) and or avoiding his harem lol.
For me this is the arc Asta gets promoted to captain.
Captain of what? Yami is still around.
Yami (or Fuegoleon) are the most likelly candidates for Wizard King. Yuno is the most likelly candidate for captain of the eagles.
Yeah, we still have to see what will the army(magic knights) will look like after this war. If the author follows through and lets Julius' death stay permanent new promotions will need to be done. Considering that the captain of the golden birds is somewhat…a villain, and as mentioned above, Fuegoleon does not wake up( I think he will). Yami could be the next wizard king. However, as I imagine Fuego waking up, I think it suits his character better. Then we keep the current dynamics with Yami as captain of the bulls. Which in turn could be funny as Asta is meant to be one, but Yuno gets capitancy and brags that he is closer to their goal.
So, if I rephrase: Asta is going to be captain-level after this arc. Jajajaja.

Like Naruto did after beating Pain? Besides it still doesn't address my other points.

Sis Leon for Magic Emperor!
There is a lot that can be expanded upon, but it won't necessarily be developed. Has there been a major plotline for the Great Spirits? Aren't they mostly power boosters with a conscious?
The reason is because the story opened talking about the magic emperor defeating that huge creature. And that storyline was linked to the elves. We are now fighting the elves again. I just feel a sense of closure on some of the series mysteries. Like Asta's grimoire, a bit of Yuno's origins with the elves.
I don't want the series to end, but if the auhor keeps revealing more and more then if he did end it here, Iwouldn't see a problem with it.
Not to mention that he could jam the two great spirits and the other nations into this conflict. With the kingdoms taking advantage, and the diamond kingdom coming as an ally. And within those groups have the other great spirits.

Hasn't been revealed yet but I expect them since every time I've come across them they have been relevant. Even if they don't end up being important to plot you still expect the author to show the other 2.
Imo the Elves will end up being nothing but pawns for the true bad of the series. Just like I think the Clover Kingdom is for the massacre of them.
There's still Morris as well who will most likely end being a significant villain.
btw I'm probably going to ship Asta with Sally
KYAAA!!~~~~
Literal fire punch.
Guess who's back… Nice upgrade as well.
This week's anime episode reminded me why I place this above Fairy Tail in terms of fighting and overall story. Asta may be the main but he isn't at the point where he can solo the baddest. This tag team fight is just fun.
New Chapter is out. Shit is going down at the castle and Jack the Ripper is the madman we all needed :)

I like Ripper. It's nice to get a chance to see what he can actually do.
This week's episode was pure Black Bulls (Yami) hype fan service. I loved it lol.

Even though I thought of Erza. I still like it.
The ending was all like…
Ooo. Noelle so reliable!
https://jaiminisbox.com/reader/read/black_clover/en/0/177/page/1
As cool as this was I'm not really sure why Noelle's magic suddenly worked against this
I'm all for making a moment prominent and important, but 11 pages (and an entire short weekly chapter) spent on her charging in and stabbing once… That seems a bit much.
As cool as this was I'm not really sure why Noelle's magic suddenly worked against this
I think it's just purely her magic being stronger. She's got a mega magic aura and wasn't someone that became an elf.
Can the Clover King die? That would make me happy.
Important to note the person she's fighting against doesn't have a name so this could be a brief battle to show her newfound powers like how Gear 2 was used vs Blueno. Still badass as hell. Noelle is certainly the most badass fighting main lady lately in shonen jump. Meleoron is the most badass woman.
Black Clover is low key progressive with how much action they give women in fights. It's like fairy tail but you don't have to worry about fanservice (not that the fanservice usually got in the way of me enjoying the fighting aspect but it's a problem for.a decent chunk of people)

Goes without saying I just caught up
I'll agree to that statement on most badassery ladies in shonen right now.
I've been pretty pleased with Black Clover overall. It's basically everything I wanted from Fairy Tail and never got lol.
BC for sure continues to be a really good, light-hearted and entertaining weekly read. Nothing too sophisticated, but what it does it does very well. Even though there are chapters like this that seem to drag on, but I sure don't mind if it's focussing on Noelle and her awesome water valkyrie power up. And /signed to what long john and cyclone say, BC sure doesn't play down their female protagonists combat-wise.
Chapter is out on Jaimini's Box
! More great teamwork here, really love how BC handles stronger enemies with cooperation instead of always relying on individual powerups
Ooo yeah.
! BC is definitely becoming a series I look forward to each week. I think this one of the few that can do tag team fights in a way that lets everyone be important.
The great thing about Black Clover is that the author is self aware.
Like sure you got Asta with hax powers but it's always certain that he gets help from others and the assist feels legit.
That and most of the fights are team fights which works pretty well.
I mean sure the characters can 1v1 but that's boring and everywhere.
In BC the Teamwork is hella fun.

Being the student/assistant of Toshiaki Iwashiro probably helped with that. Black Clover has been a fun weekly read for me that I flip over to once I finish reading One Piece in Jump.
I hope the series keeps going after this arc since there still seems to be a lot left of the world to explore (and ending it before Asta has progressed to being able to become the magic emperor would be lame) but it feels like things are being rushed
ps: if anyone has not yet done so I recommend checking out the manga Psyren by Toshiaki Iwashiro since the battles have a similar style to them.
Oh, didn't know he was Toshiaki's assistant.
Might reread Psyren soon. Such a shame it was cancelled.
I mean I enjoyed Psyren but I can see why it got canned.
Started out great, some creative powers here and there.
Then went a little haywire but okay science fiction shounen is cool but then it really went off the rails near the last arc(s)
The lack of personal stakes or a consistent narrative along with it slowly becoming less relatabe with the readers
were all problems that became pretty glaring.
Well I wonder if it went haywire on its own or was it result of lower ratings and cancellation notice.
The first half was definitely a lot more interesting.
It's nt his fault though
She's most likelly talking about the 4 panel comic at the end.
No I mean they way he's posed with his sister when they're glaring down at everyone. So gross.
Technically, that's not him, but some elves…
That doesn't make it any less gross.
I've just viewed the relationship overall as more as a super affectionate older brother that's very sarcastic for gag purposes rather than some pervy incestuous-pedo relationship.

I just think it's funny. It's so amazingly ridiculous and over-the-top that I can only see it that way. I mean, Sister-lover. How did he get the OK to include that?

If he wasn't getting nose bleeds. Sure. But that's 90% of his character and it's the least funny reoccurring gag to me in this series.
It seems like an internal joke to me by now.
Maybe making fun of/shaming someone he knows.
! Ok, that was a creative way of turning things around. Starting to like that crazy girl.
Come oooooon! That was straight-up Jojo.
Come oooooon! That was straight-up Jojo.
I too was reminded of Death 13 from Stardust Crusaders immediately :D
This dreamworld magic has the potential for a whacky and lengthy adventure! Too bad we will probably have escaped it by the next chapter or the one after that.
