They kept the Gum Gum Strom! OMG! All they did was change the blood to dirt but it's still there! This means that this the first dub episode to be better than another's! (The German one, which cut it)
Edit: They cut a scene which was a close-up of Crocodile flying though the air (the first one, not the second one) but yes, every thing else was kept!
Most of the blood was not edited out but recoloured/recolored sandy!

They got rid of "From the New World, Mvt IV - Allegro con fuoco". However, some of the replacement music was alright but most of it was the usual crap.
Vivi sounded like a angry freaking mother! Saying things like "Stop! Stop! Stop right now". God, that was annoying.At least it didn't end that badly.

Even if they don't totally butcher this episode with edits, it's just not going to be the same. This is an episode that I start crying every time I watch it because it's just so perfectly done. When I hear Vivi screaming in the original version, it makes me cry more. This will probably just sound silly and annoying. :P 4kids just doesn't know or care how to put together a really emotional episode.

you guys I have a confession to make, this is my turning point episode of One Piece. When I realized ONe Piece was better than SatAM Sonic, better than Gargoyles, better than anything I've seen/read before… I was so worried about it I had several dreams last night that I was trying to get to my computer to see how they handled Gum Gum Storm
in the first dream, someone had taken the computer... these group of people who were packing our stuff up because apparently we had to move. Everyone on the block did because they were building a statue to some guy who stopped a terroist attack or something. I was the only one really worried about it too Josh and Dawn who live here too. were like "oh that sucks..." and Im like "THEY CAN'T JUST MAKE US LEAVE!"
in another dream, these people broke into the house and I was trying to dial 9-1-1 but of course could NOT> I kept dialig 9-1-1-1 and whe I'd hit "backspace" on my phone (which IRL does't have a backspace button) it'd erase two of the 1's and I'd end up in the same problem.
Then ANOTHER dream was about me trying to stay awake at mycomputer because I got up early to see how they handled it. I kept falling asleep and then I kept clicking the wrong thing on the forums XD
god... what a frustating morning it's been.

The sweat explanation is actually a BS excuse I can deal with... I think. However, as long as they kept the Gum-Gum Storm in it's entirety, I guess I'm happy! Not so anxious to hear Kayzie botch Vivi's most crucial moment, though.

While watching, I would have to admit I was very surprised how much of the fight was kept. If you minus the blood and music, you wouldn't see much difference.

Yeah. My skin's a huge lung too. And since we all know that respiration is obviously directly linked to perspiration, I sweat a lot when I can't breathe.

And did they actually keep Vivi's flashbacks? Oh yeah, and what did she say right at the end when the fighting stopped. Oh (I got too many questions
) and when the king thanked Luffy, what did Luffy say? I bet he did his dub laugh. The set up was just there.

But in all seriousness, Vivi can be annoying sometimes but she's a great character overall, I mean she has such love for country..
The Luffy VS Crocodile fight..From reading people's other comments, seems this fight isn't that much altered, just minus blood and the music.

That's awesome that they kept the entire Gomu Gomu no Storm. Even the German version (which keeps most of the violence) edited it. Too bad the New World Symphony wasn't kept though, it makes the scene even more awesome. At least they didn't replace it with rap. Also, I can't wait to here what the next opening will be (if they change it) hopes it's not rap.

You're massivly overreacting, I actually enjoyed it as much as the japanese one. All the fights have been good. They even got me wanting to re-watch OP from the begining again (or atleast Alabasta) cause this reminded me how good they were.
Maybe so, but that was my favorite moment/episode ever. I think nothing today beats that episode. It turned me into a hardcore one piece fan. All that alien shit music was wtf? Most of the music didn't bring the "Wow" factor. The cut flashback was totally unesseacry. Those bad puns were horrible. The only good part about that episode is zoro's va and how he yelled "Crab grab, Onigri, Lion strike," His va is amazing. Its just my favorite episode was ruined edited. If it was uncut, I am sure it would have been fine. Or even if there was blood edits and no bgm change it still would have been good. Though fact is my favorite one piece moment ever was just ruined for me. I do think the dub is turning better somewhat, though it was just so cool in the original. ;-;

Hopefully, someone as nice as Cinder will upload Luffy vs Crocodile in Youtube.. (No, I'm not requesting them. Calm down, UNKOWNFILE.)
Anyways, I hope they get to Skypiea soon.. or atleast Jaya. Thank God they won't air any of the fillers, because the Rainbow Mist were boring as hell..
