Zoro, Chopper and Jinbe are Tanks. Nami, Robin and Jinbe are AoE. Usopp and Franky are ranged DPS. Sanji and Brook are speedster so I think the next will be a combo of ranged DPS and speedster.

AoE means Area of effect. It means damage on a wide scale. Like A Mage summons a Thunderstorm or Volcano. Dps means Damage per second. It is used to describe characters that focus more on offensive damage dealing rather than defending. Usually DPS are ranged projectile weapon users or rogues.

You are right Usopp's Pop greens are AoE but only after they are fired as projectiles. But Nami and Robin's AoE is like Magic and Hax. Usopp can only fire his Pops greens in one direction while Nami answer Robin can just stand in the midst of a group and attack all of them at a time without needing to change direction.

I don't think sanji, luffy, zoro, jimbe fit the RPG thing because they are like combination of all classes at the same time without weakness.
Like tanks have high armor and HP points, but low damage and close range, DPS that are close range have high HP and damage but theor defense is not on par with tanks, ranged DPS have shitty armor and mediocre HP( life points), while rogues also have bad'ish armor and good dot(damage over time like poison) but good speed.
Luffy and S,J,Z, have both high damage with ranged Attacks(minus sanji on long range) and close range, high armor(haki), speed, high life points. Luffy has CoC for aoe( and if zoro's words from fishman island make any sense, he has it too). And some g4 attacks or zoro Attacks are good for group of enemies, so fits the aoe thing.

Considering Franky ranged in anything else than the mid range beam is laughable. Luffy has more range than him in everything else.
Robin has no bad range, just bad matchups with anyone who is not a look.

Electro has no area or range, is just an effect to her weapon, that attack that KOed the people on the mirror world depended on the soup.

Meh, seems like overcomplicating things here. Powerhouse brawlers like the Monster Trio and Jimbei, tactical exclusive fighters like Brook, Nami, Usopp and Robin, and the in-betweeners like Franky and Chopper seem more simple to categorize. That said, I'd bet any newcomers will be in-betweeners.

Same here, brawlers are too DBZ most of the time. At least Oda has a knack for things being a little more entertaining. I would have loved it if the 'fairies' in Dressrosa were just that, and had some kind of non-DF magic, that would have been a perfect new nakama candidate, but no, we got dwarves.

So that pumpkin dude who I thought might have been a homie was revealed in the anime as one of big mom's sons (probably using oda's notes) so the whole pedro's soul was in him and that's how he'll get out of the incident alive is gone officially. I quit believing it after 900, when it seemed like the cake was more a diversion than the gateway to an understanding between everyone but now I dont see any non-BS way he can be brought back. Although it seems oda is being more long term with his death so maybe in 3-4 years I wont even really care

The anime director said Oda gave them the names and sketches of every Charlotte kid and that the public should pay attention to the credits to find out the names of the sons and daughters not given in the manga. He is specifically talking about the family, not the Big Mom Pirates in general (he even mentions Oda having their ages, birth order and who is a twin of who on paper at a very early stage).
