Also, if that worked like that for Law, then punk either brownbeard is very dead, or punk hazzard would been a dark arc.
My logic with that is "active supernatural effects" need the user concious to keep them going, like if law was KOed in the middle of "room", then the poor targets would be dead, but if it's after, then the effect have reached a stable "natural" state, so the man grafted to a crocodile head would be ok.
Compare that with Inazuma cutting something and folding it around, it stays the original material but it can be folded only by them.
The triple threat of a permanent order, the memory effect and the councious toy at the same time, that is an ongoing curse allright.
But then again, suppose we have Inupen and Moriah, and kill moriah, if we exorcise the dog, the supernatural effect that caused the shadow to be deatachable and mobile doesn't have a source anymore so it can still be exorcized?
Unless the core homies (as in those made with the user's own souls) are seen to die as well, I'd be willing to asume that they don't, with the abandon that Big Mom treats her targets, contrast with Moriah who has to specifically keep the shadow's owners alive to keep the zombies working, I'd say unless there is a special rule for the core hommies, Pandora is out there, somewhere.
I'd say that Oda decides, if anything hasn't been done or mentioned then it is "A mistery".
