http://hiwamatanoboru.com/2017/10/29/gintama-657/ After we saw Madao blooming last week, this time we see best dog fighting on.
I was not expecting Sadaharu going all out, but I loved it.
Oh boy… it pained me to see our cute dog get beat up like this :( And this is it, isn't it, folks? The final fight of this series. The yorozuya are about to face off against Utsuro and end the war. And by the way, the latest volume cover is just awesome
Sadaharou got boosted which was why Utsuro couldnt finish him up in 1 sec, understandable.
Tbh I wouldve prefered the Disciples defeating Utsuro than the Yorozuya, to resemble the Shishio fight from Rurouni Kenshin
Well, before Utsuro gets taken on, they first have to deal with Hitsugi. And I would love some attention for either Shinpachi or the Shinsengumi here.
Also still wondering when Asaemon and Shachi will appear.
Didn't she already show up just after the Oni?
Nope, perhaps you're confusing her with Ketsuno Ana or Gedomaru.
Gedomaro, Right. I could chalk sachi as a joke after the end like "I'm here now!" But the executioner? Maybe to take down Uboro but it doesn't feel right, she didn't had connections with him right?
The Silver Soul Arc has now also been anounced for the anime! No air date yet, maybe it comes even right after Porori-hen.

! Oh shit.
Gintama is getting a 2nd live action movie.
I tougth that they were going to make a joke of how he's so plain and forgetable.. I was wrong T_T

! Oh shit.
That means the manga will end very soon.
I liked the latest chapter with Kondo being cool
The next movie will probably cover the Shogun arc. That makes the most sense.
Also in regards to the manga:
! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

NO WOT NO WOT.
! That's just the Tuesday Yamazaki, right?
Its just a flesh wound, there was no decapitation.
But better him than kondo.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2017/11/20/gintama-anime-announces-final-arc-plans
Final Arc set for Winter 2018, that should mean the manga should end probably early 2018 imo.
I would bet on 12-16 more chapters. 3-6 chapters to go to fill the next 3 volumes, but it will probably take a bit more than that. So another volume is required, which means a further 9-10 chapters, thus totalling 12-16 (3-4 months, meaning it would end around March). Not counting a surprise post-rebuilding arc.
! The shinsengumi are down! the older yato are down! the rest of the "let me save you in the nick of time" gang are either down or in space! It's a serious arc, so Tae's power level is 0.1 shinpachi! The shogun are dead! Sadaharu is somewhere in the Marina trench! and the prom is tomorrow!!
I dunno. Way too serious for a Gintama game.
New Gintama:Rumble Scan showing the interface and versus mode-
The final arc of Gintama will be starting in the anime on January 7th.
And this feels like the last volume.
Chapter 663 out. This really seems like the end. Yorozuya taking everything everyone's given and sticking it to Utsuro. Tune in in 2 weeks to see the final showdown. 3-5 chapters left, folks (bar any surprise last arc).
it shouldve been the Discples vs Utsuro but I guess Sorachi wants to distance himself from RK after Watsuki Chris Benoit himself from the manga industry.
The disciples had their own fight already long before the watsuki incident. And besides what battle on kenshin involved kenshin battling his master to the death?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Hell, this is way more one piece, with the secondary cast holding a fatal threats while the main cast stops the perpetrator. See crocodile, enel, moria, hodi and doflamingo.
664 out.
! So… Is Sadaharu really dead? What? What the hell is going to happen now?
After the Kondo fakeout I won't believe sorachi on the spot. But it does seem that way.
I don't really believe it either but… I just don't know what to expect now. I was pretty sure this was going to be it.
665 out! It seems you were right, after all!
So, the final arc has started in the anime now as well. First episode was handled greatly imo and I adore the new ending. Can't wait to see the reactions of anime-only people to all the things happening in this arc.

By final arc do you mean the Silver Soul arc or do they include the ones before it (Shogun Assassination, etc.)? Because it would be one hell of a run to include those too!
What? You aren't following the anime?
Tldr; The anime skiped from who knows what arc to the shogun assassination arc and what followed, leaving a bunch of the lighter arcs (who couldn't be placed after Gintoki kicked the wasp nest in any logical fashion), so when this season started they adapted all the loose arcs (Diamond Snoot, The ramen truth, Kagura's boyfriend, Hasegawa doing Hasegawa tings and the Soul Glasses chapters), and as now that is over they start with the end arc.

Uh. They’ve already done them [emoji23]
Nope, I never watched the anime haha. That sounds pretty dumb from them. Especially the soul glasses, I loved that arc
It didn't make sense, but its now fixed forever. I think that the only missing chapters are now: the second one with old man laketoya, which is an DVD/bluray extra, and one of sachi's if I remember correctly.
I think the chapter about madao's ID photos wasn't adapted either
OK, there are 21 uncompiled chapters, and each gintama volume is either 9 or 10 chapters long, after this chapter there isn't much to go, so we are between 6 and 9 chapters of the end.
Yup, seems like it. It should also coincide with the next batch of manga starting in Jump, which should be late March/early April, I think.
All supers of the playable characters of Gintama Rumble. I'll be hunting for the assists.
Shinpachi is my favorite, he archieves his TRUE FORM!!
This week's chapter…. he really did it ... damn gorilla. 3d2y at Shabondy archipelago is no more a joke...
Is it out somewhere already? :wassat:
Still no full scan, but the raw and translation are floating around. So keep the spoiler rule, no link no spoiler.
https://mangadex.com/chapter/36656/1 It's out now. Well ok then, epilogue time I guess.
I really liked how despite focusing on Shinpachi by having the shop owner standing up for his son, Sorachi also showcased how all the events shaped Edo as a whole. While still accepting their place and getting help, they will now stand up for what's important for them, "their very soul" as the series would put it.
I'm intruiged by how the new government will be portrayed, since Nobunobu declared to be the last shogun. Prime minister Matsudaira?
I make CaptainAppleJack's words into my own. This chapter really showed how the events of the Silver Soul arc helped turn the people of Edo into a "mega yorozuya", who fight for what's important to them, despite being open to cooperation. Basically a metaphor for post-war Japan. Prime Minister Matsudaira sounds great, but I wouldn't mind seeing Hasegawa in government as well
Prime minister madao.
Nation of cardboard. If you need to fight, you pick a warrior, if you need to heal you pick a cockroach.
The reaction of this chapter on reddit is pathetic, is like "oh so cliché", ignoring that it's a combination of the start of the series, the middle of the series, as in the fake timeskip, and the tentative ending of the series of Forever Yorozuya, and that still there are a few chapters more to go.
The problem with Sorachi is that when he makes something "cliche", it is very often to troll the readers. For now I don't know what to expect for next chapters. It can be the biggest troll of the whole manga, all characters except Shinpachi can be dead or simply a cliche but very emotive end. Sorachi is still unpredictable. But I am sure last lesson will be called "All is well that ends well".
Chapter is out. Shinpachi is treathening otose and Catherine with the "final fantasy" and they realize. Just go to hiwamatanoboru.
