Ban hasn't accomplished miuch of anything since taking out her hearts though. And that was a long while back.
It just seems weird. Every one has powered up. But he's not different from how he was at the start of the series.

I wouldn't be surprise if he is revealed to be much more effective now that Elaine is safe. Or maybe he stumble into his weapon in a similar manner Diane stumble into hers.

Ban is often depicted as the second most prominent sin after Meliodas (not in power, more like protagonism) so it wouldn't surprise me if Nakaba is just waiting to give him the biggest power up. Even if King was the most popular character, Ban seems to have always been a favourite of the author.
I don't worry about him because I'm sure he'll come back stronger (also because I don't really care about him but that's subjective).

I feel like Escanor doesn't work if he isn't the trump card of the team. That's the point of him being a weaklind for a good chunk of the time.

The chapter after that, it felt like perfection to me. I'm glad Nakaba has this skills, he only needs someone to do the script and that it will be priceless.

Now on to some Escanor screentime which is the content I crave.The guy is immortal and can steal strength. Even if he doesn't seems his best right now I'm not worried about him. When you brush up everything you can offer yourself a bad moment. And he tends to have those weird moments like having trouble with Jericho. Heck he was the first to not get destroyed by a commandment on his first meeting. He lost but it was a one sided beat down.

Ban has always been a walking bunching bag, but the other were also very punchable. When they started to power up by the tenfolds and became less punchable it became more jarring on Ban, which is kind of unfair to him. But as has been said he has conditions and space to growth Nakaba only needs to show.

Ban is immortal, so if Nakaba wants to show a villain is powerful enough to kill one of the Seven Sins and not completely incompetent, he is the perfect target. That's why his power up will be delayed for an eternity.

I think that nephilim wouldn't be the case, the closest to it would be Genesis from Preacher but the think don't have a proper category. And I'm more interested in what kind of offspring King and Diane will have. A giant with wings? An earthbending fairy?

Personally, I think that strict adherence to the source material is out the window. That being said, it is still possible that the leader of the 10 commandments is defeated but Meliodas and Elizabeth live happily ever after. They live in a world of magic after all.

Technically if the curse is lifted or the creators of the curse are killed, they might be restored to default setting. It all depends on how Nakaba sets it up.
It's also possible some of the other commandments are used for a positive effect. Somehow. And some Merlin hax magic.
It's hard for me to tell if Nakaba wants to go for a bittersweet ending or does he want to have Meliodas and Liz live happily ever after as owners of Boar Hat.
Also, did we ever get an explanation of why Mel is grown up in his wanted poster? Just remembered that.

I recall Liz once had a dream where she met with a Meliodas like the one of his wanted poster. That was never addressed again, but Nakaba sure didn't forget about that. We're talking about an author that foreshadowed the main couple curse thing, as well as many other late game elements, when the story was barely 10 chapters long.
The curse also affected Melioda's growth, his body stopped aging. I find it likely that once the curse is finally dispelled Meliodas might undergo instant growth and transform into the spitting image of his WANTED poster.

! The way I see he already is vulnerable, at least at night. From now on we will see his power tone down, as it rises from dawn 'till 12pm it goes down from 12:01 'till dusk, so for the rest of the arc Escanor will be in his worst fight condition. In the overall Mel is still more powerful than Escanor and I have already seen plenty of people being salty over the result.
