I have too much time at my hands
Dr. Stone

Another cool chapter and a good passing grade in the classic "is this going to be an asspull?" exam in regards to how Senku would survive Tsukasa's attack.
Can't wait for this new arc detailing Senku's awakening.
-
The series depends on how a rich cast is slowly added, without abandoning the feeling of loneliness and having to get everything via their smarts.
The art is definitely appealing and those "how did he do that" moments add to the experience. -
Chapter twelve - volume 1 to end arc one. This feels like reading you typical Adachi manga. Nice chapter.
-
Yankee Monkey is best character.
http://readms.net/r/dr_stone/013/4310/1 -
the most enjoyable chapter in a while, mainly because I enjoy craftiness and using brain to solve problems in manga more than fighting manga
I also like the rpg beginning feeling this chapter had
and I agree about the monkeys being more entertaining characters than Taiju, Yuzuriha and Tsukasa
-
Ah damnit! I was thinking of hypothesis 3 this whole time!

I think who or whatever was responsible for that stone curse, used the swallows to get it everywhere.
After all swallows are a common sight all around the world and using them to transfer that curse, could be an explanation why they of all animals were also affected, just like the humans.
Maybe it was mother nature having enough and launching this desperate attack on humanity^^ -

Are we talking African or European? Am I missing any more obvious Monty Python jokes? Maybe the one about weight ratios?

Next chapter, i hope a new way to recharge myself, along with nitric acid :D
Great chapter, had to stop to understand what i'm reading, usually Jump doesn't put me in those predicaments.
-
This manga is pretty great, in my opinion. Despite the fantastical nature of everyone getting petrified… I love the insistence that it's all explained by a physical phenomenon that can be reasoned through with science. This chapter in particular was pretty great and definitely provided a legitimate explanation for why one of the main characters broke free first.
Though it is a little weird that being in the petrified state gives the body the ability to convert some chemicals (one chemical?) directly from mass into energy. Need more details!

Those are most likely Tengu Shoes that japanese uses to travel through the mountains.
-
At least it wasn't just the girl. Is a high heel tribe.

oh, that makes so much sense
-
Time for the couple to shine.
Until next time, Doctor.
-
I'm liking the parallel stories motif so far. The little sample with Senku's awakening, and now, the prospect of each team working on a different task, separately. Kind of hoping we see one entire side play out before showing the other at all.
-
This feels like Sanctuary for shonen.
Nice chapter.

What's this? Fighting in my science manga? What in the word…

https://jaiminisbox.com/reader/read/dr-stone/en/0/16/page/1Its a Boichi's manga after all, poor guy is making all he can to hold on the nude girls too.

https://jaiminisbox.com/reader/read/dr-stone/en/0/16/page/1Dude, there's gonna be an all-out war against Tsukasa in a near future. This is nothing.

You know, that pulley didn't look like it would work on real world. I kept like 2 minutus looking that knots to the higher branch and the soup idea is nice to retain the strength on the strings but it would fail to levitate the other wheels in order to reach the trunk… just my appreciation, i can fairly be wrong.
Ehm, didn't pass Aristotheles on school and fighting with high-heels!? The fuck, didn't like it this week.

Yes it does. Proven for centuries.
The diagram is on the left, you might be connecting the wrong ropes due to viewing angle.
It's exactly the greek pulley system and no, that's not a myth.Ehm, didn't pass Aristotheles on school and fighting with high-heels!? The fuck, didn't like it this week.
"high-heels"
Not this shit again.jpg
Those aren't on heels, it's center of the foot. It's obviously a primitive version of Japanese mountain climbing geta.
-
So this basically confirms some people must have survived stone free and had descendants right?
-
The pulley looked functional. All it needs to do is force the tree branches they're tied to to take on a part of he load each, which means they need to be connected to the branches, the tree being pulled, and the rope that Baby Einstein was holding. They're called simple machines for a reason, sort of hard to mess up.

Even centuries need a video to be proven right :)
Aaand every heel will locate in a different place your center of gravity, which is the most troublesome to put in a fight, i don't mind her having heels, i'm bothered at the idea of her fighting with them against a man who can push away lions with his hands xD Such thing is unnecessary to put, why she needs to be a close-combat fighter? At least, Tsukasa fights her with one hand…
-
None of the other series I do force me to research the applied effort formula for a multiple pulley system to make sure I've got the translation right.
But I love it.And Kohaku is awesome. The perfect response to "the only female so far, Yuzuriha, is weak, useless baggage" (which she's already proven wrong, actually).
…Even if she jobbed immediately and is a walking "born sexy yesterday" trope. sigh -
Is that shield a inspired by Wonder Woman's shield? sure seems like it
-
Is anyone else uncomfortable with how Kohaku's waist works? Her hips are impossibly wide for the length of her skirt.
-
Just read up on this. Knowing only SunKen before I was pretty surprised at the tone, subject matter and general story line.
It feels like one of the best new series in Jump in a while to me(and I still enjoy Kimetsu although it's kind of generic story beat wise but makes up for it with a unique charm). But then I have not tried Neverland yet. Super interesting hope this series continues for a good while. -

That´s how humanity will develop.
All towards looking more manga-esque ^^ -
Does anyone know how long it takes until the volumes start coming out?
-
JPN volume 1 comes out July 4th. They'll hopefully get that to me ASAP so we can put it out quickly :)
-
Look at all these chumps.
https://jaiminisbox.com/reader/read/dr-stone/en/0/17/page/1 -
I know the "all the girls Boichi draw look like aliens " have gotten old by now
but this is ridiculous
Anyway, a fun chapter
-
Oh dude, Senkuu's got all better without the other idiot, this is what i call a complement.
Nice chapter, surely Boichi and Inagaki would count that i will remember those 40 names.
-
There was one nameless guy tho. And if you say a random rock/mineral/jewel odds are is in there.
-
The story is already better for not focusing on the couple.
-
…I like how Kohaku counts a dog as one of the 40 people, but not "elders and children."
-
I wonder what are her criteria for elder and children, as there were some sub 5 y/o there and fossil seems pretty old.
-
Sorry, it's technically "retired persons" and children. So maybe we can assume that the old-looking members of the Fab 40 still have some sort of job in the community?
Suzu, Shovel, and Suika look to be the youngest ones by far, so they must also be important for one reason or another. -
The story is already better for not focusing on the couple.
Guess you'll be skipping these chapters then.

ENEL FACE!
-
Hilarious chapter. I like this direction.
-
The last panel is so RPG.
-
Chrome is great. This chapter is great.
-
Hope I can order the first volume of this soon on amazon.co.jp . Honestly my favorite new entry.
