Did Ban get his Sacred Treasure back?
Seven Deadly Sins
-
-
Predictable yet underwhelming considering he and Escanor are the only ones without a cool power up, and well Escanor is Escanor so he decides about his power up.

Did Ban get his Sacred Treasure back?
Nope, as far as I'm concerned.
-
Honestly i think it kind of fits Ban not to be the strongest. Other than the arm wrestling matches with Meliodas, I don't think I have ever seen anyhting that suggests that he cares about being powerful. Ultimately what does power mean to an immortal?
You can not kill him. He just keeps coming back until he finishes the job.
–-----
Edit:Having said that I am betting that his sacred treasure takes away the limits of how much physical ability he can steal and/or allows him to steal non physical things like spirit or magic power.

It's out in pt already.
! Gowther's heart was inside him all a long, a bit cliché but not bad. And if Diane's power is proportional to her shrinkage she should easily reach 50000 when in full size, if it matters anyway.
-
! I'll miss Robo-Gowther.
-
I am not making THAT reference…:ninja:

All the emotional value of this chapter is lost on me because I simply can't buy the Seven Sins as being a group of friends. More like colleagues, but with few exceptions, I I don't see them being that close.
-
I would love to see Diane vs Derriere in a hand to hand combat, it could be one of the best fights in the series.
-
A chapter of Nanatsu Gakuen, huh?
I feel that Gowther dropped a little on my list of endearing characters. Hope he gets some crude spotlight from time to time again.
Who was the enemy again?
-
Gowther's "Pew Pew" is the chapter highlight.
-

Actually the sun decides when he powers up XD.

It doesn't help that 3 of them really haven't been im story too long so we haven't have longer group arcs with a full team interaction. I'd buy Meliodas, Diane, Ban amd King. Gowther is on the edge but Merlin and Escanor are super OP and haven't had much none combat time.
-
All the sins are socially inept or pariahs even among its own people (and then we have Merlin who is just manipulative) Its normal that they dont have a "jolly nakamas" feeling about them.
-
The most sociopathics the Sins are, the better.

There is nothing out of character about finding camaraderie with those who share your same strengths and weaknesses. I'd say it is a basic human reaction.
Taking it a step further Love and camaraderie is one of the driving forces behind this story. At this point it at least seems that Meliodas gave up his near absolute power to be with the woman he loved. Ban is willing to throw almost anything away to be with the woman he loves. Diane overcame a complete memory wipe, and now Gowther has too. Escanor overcame his power's greatest weakness by loving Merlin. Pretty much the only ones who haven't had a I love you moment are Merlin and King, though I see the signs of each in the interactions with Escanor and Diane respectively. You could even say that King's power up came from not letting his emotions run too wild.
Long and short of it is that emotions, friendship, connections are really what the story has been built on. Can't see how it would be a bad thing for them to really be friends and rely on each other.

Not trying to sound like a dick here, but tf that had to do with anything I said?
-
Not a big fan of the sins being great friends now. I liked how they were a group of misfits with their own history and with different level of interactions.
I mean most of the sins have no idea who Gowther was under her armor. King did not like Ban. Melio and Ban were pals with Diane being infatuated with Melio. King respects his captain.
I largely prefer the sins as bunch of individuals that kind of works well together than the close friends they suddenly seems to be.
I don't like the the shonen rules of anyone who exist in a group are friends witth everyone in the group.I liked that they were people that worked with each others and that their relations were varied as a result. I liked that some are dicks and some have decent human values. Ieven loved their screw sense of times due to their varied lifespan. But now they are just a bunch of friends and all good guys.
-
There's nothing wrong with a group of misfits growing to become real friends that have each others back. This is what character development's for.

They spent the last 10 years apart and the chapter presented it more as them having always been good friends rather than it being recent development.
I would say character development is for a lot of things. But I was mostly referring to my own preferrences and while not a fan of the change dynamics some works for example I like Ban and King new relation .
-
I don't see any drastic group changes with that. Ban and Mel kept being BBFL, Diane and King are know a couple, Diane with her memories should be less icky towards Mel, I guess Gowther with his memories back and with Diane's promisse will be more close to her. King still a little bit cold towards Gowther, but has understood Ban and Mel's situations. Escanor seens to be friendly towards everybody but not particularly close to anyone, and Merlin is secretive af.
So from my understand they're still a group of misfits with different degrees of intimacy with one another but to expect that would be no changes in their relationships over the course of the series is a bit weird from a story telling view. Besides the 10 year gap, we don't know how long they served together before their first separation.

I was replying to both your statement that you can not buy them being close and Kage's assertion that they need to be more sociopathic. Not all of it was meant for you, but both statements suggested that they should not be friends or close. I was pointing out that their closeness is the driving force of the story.

Is kind of hard to keep people at arms length when you fight to the death along them.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Besides most of the sins Sins weren't theirs to begin with. Growther didn't kill the princess, ban didn't kill the forest, Diane didn't kill her master, King didn't kill the humans..
-
And Meliodas vaporized Danafor unwilling to do so.

Their sins werent the crimes they were charged with but their mental burndens. Gowther refusing his memories, Ban regretting Elaine's death, King fleeing his duty and so on…

King didn't kill the humans..
wasnt kings sin that he looked away (because amnesia), while one of his own was doing the killing?
Edit: Ninja'd:ninja:

The sins are the crimes they were charged with. That's why Gowther is lust, Diane is envy, Ban is greed…

And King is sloth how exactly?
-
And King is sloth how exactly?
He's known as the Sin of Sloth because as Fairy King he didn't deal with Helbrem for ages.
-
And King is sloth how exactly?
What Underworld1991 said. According to Liones:
- King was condemned because he never took action against Helbram as fairy king, leading to that massacre (sloth);
- Diane killed Matrona out of jealousy (envy);
- Gowther assaulted the princess and then killed her (lust);
- Ban attacked the fairy forest so he could get immortal life (greed);
- Meliodas destroyed that other country because he was mad (wrath).
We still don't know about Merlin and Escanor.

It wouldn't be hard to imagine a situation that would earn Merlin the title of Glutton. And especially for Escanor to be given a sin of pride. Heck unrestrained, I could imagine Escanor getting arrested every day on his pride alone.
Still you are right that we do not know the specific offenses.
–------------
EditImagining a scene where Escanor is walking through a town at noon. He is stopped by guards who have to stay away from him. Sir you are under arrest for melting the towns treasured statue of our hero. Escanor turns and replies "It is simply because it's brilliance pales in comparison to my own!"
-
Didn’t we have a glimps of escanor past already ? Not a gaiden though but I remember we saw his parents
-
In his tournament fight with Gowther.
-
Full raw chapter can be found here.
! Confirmation on Escanor's glasses. Elaine is alive. King is still mad about Gowther. And Zeldris is back. And os the Ask corner he said Merlin was 30 when she stopped her time.
-
Glasses confirmed.

If anyone forgot, that was the vampire Ban defeated.
-
So the new Boar Hat inhabitants will be the Seven, + Elaine,Liz and Hawk right?
And how on earth did Zeldris hit Merlin? Did his magic target the source of the spy instead of the spy itself?Enviado do meu iPad usando Tapatalk
-
In the editor comment, it says the 10 commandements have been revived. Does it mean all 10 of them ? I guess we will learn more later.
Anyway has always a good balance between comedy and plot. -
Don't buy into the editors notes, it probably only mean the brothers and the lovers.

This is the first time Merlin has been wounded this bad, isn't it?

It's the first time she's been injured. Period. Well unless you count petrification.

I thought of 2 possibilities:
- The item/creature she is using causes a link to the crystal which transferred the attack ( this seems less likely )
- She pulled some spacial magic and teleported the creature back to herself with part of the attack, so it would survive. (Given the creature was surprised it was still alive this seems more likely to me)

Yeah, 2nd seems more plausible. I just wonder what kinda of thing she did to poor Orlondi for him to became that flying eyeball thing instead of regenerating.

I hope Gowther never takes off that outfit
-
I don't like the new Gowther D: why he wants King to forgave him? The glasses used as comedy resort? yeah, it was good, approved.
Arthur, huh? I completely forgot his existance…
-
I am completely lost in this manga, need to reread the recent chapters at least. I never got the feeling the Ten Commandments were completely defeated, then we are suddenly thrown at chapters that feel like the war was over and peace was reigning, and now we are back to the Ten Commandments again.

Basically, Meliodas returned, kicked 10 Commandment asses around and Liones (or whatever it's called) is saved. Camelot, the neighbour kindgom where Artur lives, is still under 10C control, as we've just seen in this chapter.

Esscanor shot 2 commandments away, Merlin captured 1, Meliodas killed 1 and shot 2. So the commandements gave up Leones(for now) and are currently in Camelot.

Merlin captured Greyroad she didn't kill her. The others you are correct.
