Steve Irwin was killed while filming off the coast of Australia
Steve Irwin RIP .

-
We have a topic already.
-
my bad, just go ahead and delete it then
-
I'm not a mod, cos will most likely take care of it.
-
I personally hope his wife doesn't get re-married. Sure it'll be harder but I just hate the entire aspect of moving on like that.
-
I'll just merge it.
-
Rest in peace Steve. I've had an unlucky day and suddenly he's gone ;__; Lots of people were on about it in school. Condolences go to his wife, and kids.
-
RIP Steve Irwin.
-
I never saw this coming…
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20349888-2,00.html
Though I never consistently watched his show, what little I did see gave me the impression that he was immortal or something, at least around animals.
What sucks is that he's leaving a family behind.
-
There's already a thread for this, so I will merge again (and move that topic into general so these threads don't keep poping up).
-
woah I never saw this one coming,he was awesome except what he did with that baby.
R.I.P. steve
-
never liked steve as a person nor any of his shows but its always sad when someone dies tho the ones i really feel for are his wife and his children who are gonna grow up with out a father:sad:
That sums up how I feel about him and his passing.
-
Does anyone think they'll ever play the footage of his death? :l
-

No.
Feel sad about his death, although when you are working in a profession like his, the risks are clear and high.
-
I heard about this in the news this morning, it certainly is horrible, I loved Steve Irwin; the dude had a crazy gift when it came to reptiles. I always thought he'd end up dying of old age, as it seemed like he had some kind of freaky animalkinesis.
Rest in peace Crocodile Hunter.
-
What's the contrary of surprising?
He had it coming, though being killed by a stingray is quite a lame way to go when you're taking such risks with crocodiles and other large predatory animals. He seemed to be a nice guy and made good tv, may his soul rest in peace and my condolences to his wife and children.
-
He was no doubt very aware of the dangers of his job, at least he died doing what he loved.
Yeah, I was also suprised that he was killed by a sting ray, apparently it had just been attacked by a tiger shark, and thought that Steve was said shark. I say we give it some glasses.
-
I heard from my father about it this morning, this is pretty sad . I found the guy pretty entertaining. Rest well Mr. Irwin.
Aren't stingrays usually really docile though?
-
Typically, unless on the defense, as this one apprently was; when defending itself from a predator it pulls out its barb. The stingray mistook Steve for a shark and defended itself appropiately.
-
I read about this on CNN last night. Apparently he was swimming over a stingray that was burried in the sand. A barb came up and hit him in heart.
He will be missed.
-
This post is deleted!
-
Yeah, this is such sad news.
Although I think many people saw it coming, as he was so fearless to get into such dangerous situations, so it was always something that was a concern..
-
bye bye steve! sniff
-
Bye, Irwin. You will be sorely missed.
-
Man, this is really fucking sad. He was obviously such a great guy who cared a lot about people and animals. He wasn't just doing what he did to educate and entertain people, he was fucking passionate about what he did.
@someone:
I disagree with the "it was bound to happen". Steve took calculated educated risks but always did so with safety precautions in mind and it wasn't inevitable that he'd die this way.
This is so true. Steve Irwin was fucking careful. He didn't just run in and grab a snake by the tail. He was smart. Damn smart.
Seriously, I really feel sad as shit right now. I loved this guy so much, and I really wish I could cry right now. :(
-
Oh man. I just learned it wasn't Steve's fault. There was a cameraman near the stingray the spooked that creature. The stingray lashed out, and piereced poor Steve.

R.I.P. steve
I'm tired of this being talked about and even more so on his death. He knew what he was doing, he was in complete control of that situation. That croc would not harm him or his offspring.
UPRC, thats a great sig!
-
I'm tired of this being talked about
You are just saying that because it wasnt you,you know what I mean when you are a baby you are defenseless that cocodrile could it eat in seconds.
He knew what he was doing, he was in complete control of that situation. That croc would not harm him or his offspring.
yeah I mean its not like he is dead or anything.:getlost:

@lxn:
yeah I mean its not like he is dead or anything.:getlost:
Due to circumstances he could not control. Wow! You're good!!!
-
1. He was not killed by a crocodile.
2. He was not aware of this situation
3. IT WAS A FREAK ACCIDENT!
-
I think what makes it worse is that it was such a freak accident… if the sting ray hadn't freak out, if Steve had been a little to the side, if the barb had been a few inches to either side, if it hadn't pierced right between those two ribs.... any of those and he'd still be alive...
With all the risks he takes (calculated risks, yes, but risks none the less) it's kind of an eye-opener to see him die from somethign that is, more or less, just a freak accident.
It kind of opens your eyes to one's mortality...
Anyway, he was an awesome entertainer, an excellent conservationalist, and a great man. Rest in peace, Steve Irwin.

1.sooo…?
2.Thats why he is dead
3.Thats what I would have said if a crocodrile ate my baby.
Sorry I didnt mean for you to get mad,Im not going to argue anymore have a nice day or night.
-
Alright, me niether. But as my leaving statement, you're wrong. ^^

see you are the one who starts so please dont argue.
*currently watching animal planet, they suspended my favorite series for showing his life and making me more sad.
-
Gosh…it was so sudden. And you just don't find many great guys like him.
He was a man among men.
R.I.P.
-
I just heard on the news that he didn't die when he was pierced. He took the stinger out of his chest, and died shortly after.
-
I didn't even know, until I read the newspaper…... I was shocked beyond belief!
Rest In Peace, Steve...... you will always be remembered as the Croc Hunter.
-
@Pass:
I just heard on the news that he didn't die when he was pierced. He took the stinger out of his chest, and died shortly after.
Mm. Thats the story now. From the start they were saying he died instantly, now they are saying he pulled it from his heart and then passed out shortly after, then soon after that passing away. And I gotta say, I was kinda pleased to hear this.
Yeah this means he felt everything but him just grabbing and pulling that thing from his heart in his last moments just screams badassery worthy of this guy.
-
Steve…always will be remembered.....
I wonder how badly his family is taking this....
Those kids a lucky to have an amazing dad like Steve Irwin -
I don't know who the guy was but sounds like he was a badass.
-
I saw this on the morning news the same day it happen. Monday it was breaking news. Its too shocking when you hear about it just a couple of hours after it happen.
-
I know, I was like "This can't be true, this is a prank" for the first few minutes, many all over the world were.
-
i ddint go to school last friday or today kept getting head aches and well the steve story well its stuck in my head ,yup the whole bad feeling thing is weird. The first day of my 6th grade year that i was abset was sept 11 of 2001 hells yea i was scared of missing school after that lol.
-
dang.. how sad I didn't know he was dead. That must be really hard on his family.
though I'm not too surpirzed that he went that way. He was one crazyass dude. -
Alright, me niether. But as my leaving statement, you're wrong. ^^
Dr.Phil" do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy"
no no no, they never said he was killed instantly, all they said is that he was dead before the emergency helecopter arived.I can't say much about the poison, but pulling that barb out was the stupid thing to do…although, if I just got stabbed in the heart, I would probably panic and instinctivly want to pull it out as well.
-
Does anyone think they'll ever play the footage of his death? :l
I'm sure Ogrish or something will get it.
-
I've got to admit, this is quite possibly the saddest I've been in quite a while. There's something about Steve Irwin that makes everyone like him. And yes, anyone who can get impaled in the chest and then pull said object out of his chest is pure unaduluterated badass.
As for the baby thing, I trust Steve Irwin with a baby next to a crocodile, than I do Britney Spears with a baby period. >_>
-
-
I spent all day yesterday having that "your guilty admit it" type feeling.
Oh and as for the tape it's in the hand sof local Police.
I was told the "died instantly" thing. I don't know if I'm happy or sad that it turns out that instead he had that Luffy moment(but his body couldn't handle it)
he was a great guy and when I think about it they should have frozen him or something(all great people should have this instantly done)
I jsut keep thinking "he's dead? well bring him back darn it!"
but the not gonna happen thought won't get through to me.
oh well dust is starting to clear, it's time to make the joke that was bound to happen:
-
I can't help but laugh a little at that. Anybody who love animals and his job as much as Steve did deserves my respect and I give my condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Croc Hunter. (And I.E.: Gah Ussop w/ a Pushpop beat me too it. I wanted to draw something like that.)
