Multipull #4 and…

! STILL NO FIVE STAR. Apparently there's only a 17.5% chance of me being this unlucky. At least I finally got a flier (4* Est) to train up though.

Terrible, terrible character.
edit: I vote to change the thread title from Corn Flakes to "Fuck, Roy's still in this"
The thing is though, Roy isn't some polarizing character that offends people, he's bland at worst. Not that I disagree with the idea that more unique characters should've been involved in your examples, but….
Roy is the tofu of fire emblem lords. People dislike him more out of principle or being shoved around as substitute for the actual meat of the series, than just disliking him.
I think he is cute. At least he seems more memorable to me than Marth (who I just remember exists because they keep shoehorning him everywhere), Chrom and even Eliwood (although being in the same game as Lyn and Hector would probably make any lord seem uninteresting by comparison).
I could include Eirika and Ephraim in that list because I honestly don't remember a single thing about them. But I want to give FE8 another try, maybe I was just not in the mood when I played it (I barely have any memory of FE8 at all. I just remember there was a lot of purple, some undead monsters, the arena and something about keeping battles going for +100 rounds for some reason I can't remember).
Roy could've enjoy a career as a Lord that no one talks about except in disparaging comparisons to other Lords like Alm or Seliph (or Micaiah honestly).
But no, his game had to be the one Melee advertised.
but guys
his sword is on fire!!!!!!!
of course it's hard to really stand out with the sword on fire when we had an entire lord on fire just two games prior

Such is the way of the sakurai.
Speaking of wich, the hero summoning gun for smash! (the item)
We deserve a bow that shoots Gonzales at our enemies.
another problem with Roy
if you take Lilina as his canon love interest, he robs her of her true soulmate: Gonzalez
Just like he robed us of Lyn in smash by just existing.
Roy is the best husband slave for Lillina.
That's another reason Eliwood is better than Roy- he's got multiple good romance options, including one girl (Ninian) who doesn't have any other ones.
Just popped into my head, but I'd really like to see the Troubadour with a thing for her older brother trope turned on its head, with an older sister and a younger brother that's disconcertingly overprotective of her and highly suspicious of others.
Now I wish Sharena wasn't in a silly mobile game.

the best part about Blazing Sword is that it gives each Lord a Pegasus Sister to romance
which coincidentally, makes Roy/Lilina even worse and spares Lyn an ignoble "dead by illness" during the time period between Blazing and Binding
Lyn is canonically Lilina's mom, becuase Roy doesn't deserve her.
What? Clearly Sue is Lyn and Rath daughter. In my head it is canon. Not headcanon, canon.

This x 1000
I feel weird shipping her with Eliwood or Hector, it breaks the triangle.
y'all being so rude to Florina over here
Florina is definitely Hector's second pick in case you make the mistake of sending Lyn to someone else.

I don't Rath is just so…..bland.
Rath's introduction is to shoot some dudes in the back and then just kind of nod and be like "they were bothering you, right?" That's enough to go a long way in my book.
Plus nomad troopers are just generally an awesome concept and flavor.
the main issue with Rath is that he enters overleveled and reenters underleveled in a fucking desert
he's really hard to justify if you aren't committing to him
Rath is cool, but come on guys
Hector
The only world in which Lyn would NOT go for Hector is out of pity of ruining Florina's chances.
There's also no need for Rath's bows when you have Rebecca pretty much killing everything on her own by that point.
Hector and Lyn is obvious.
Rath and Guy is obvious.
how could we forget the greatest though
Lucius and Raven

This. Seriously, I'm someone who loves archers so much in this series, but when it came to FE7, I used BOTH Wil and Rebecca. Rath stayed on the bench forever, because Wil and Rebecca had to get it on to produce Wolt.

Lucius and Raven
They're married.
To each other.
I've only used Wil or Rebecca once, and it was on a run dedicated to using characters I don't like. And I didn't like them, even when they were high leveled.
please
i used Lowen because my Sain and Kent both ended up being RNGfucked
hard to get much lower than that
I replayed that game enough to use 90% of the units, and over time Rebecca keeps getting use because she always evolves into a machine of death, much deadlier than Rath ever turns out to be. Wil does ok too, but Rebecca is just… sooo goooood.
One of those cases of no archer since has turned into such a beast, though Mozu came close when I made her archer.

Yeah Rebecca's cool. Although I had to pass using her in my HHM run, since her speed was too low.

Lucius and Raven
patrician taste.
Changing the subject a little bit, am I the only one here that is a bit disappointed that Rolf and Mist wasn't a thing?
Changing the subject even more, why the hell is Boyd the sole Fighter/Warrior in PoR
You don't even get another dedicated axe user until "Last Minute" Largo

…. Including Shin? Because Shin is the best bow-wielder in the series, hands down.
Sin is in Binding, not Blazing
Either marry Rolf, who is a bowman and therefore sorta worthless against most units, or marry Boyd, who is an axe user (the type of weapon that IntSys hates the most.)
No good options, considering Oscar canonically married Kieran.
how could we forget the greatest though
Lucius and Raven
The recurring Fire Emblem Archetypes that people don't talk about enough are the Eldigan/Raquesis archetypes.
clearly Mist needs to be with the one who was there for her the most
Titania
are we really going to get in the way of Gatrie's truest love
the Tree in a Skirt
The only person that Gatrie and Kieran each belong to is me.
Along with Ranulf. They're all mine.
Kieran and Marcia is totally a thing, though. Kieran can't even look into Oscar's soulless eyes.
Oscar is also the only thing keeping Tanith from accidentally murdering all of her troops
: You’re puffy and bloated–yes. Some would say you’re hideous–yes. But, I am strangely drawn to you. If only we could be together forever, Duke Tanas.
Talking about Kieran, I found his design bland so I never used him (I'm currently on chapter 26).
Then today I was reading the support dialogues on wiki and I accidentally stumbled with one of his… I-I deeply regret my past decisions
Anyways, just got +1000 feathers on Heroes Arena :D if things keep going this smoothly in 5 MONTHS I will be able to promote Donnel to 5*... (actually, make that an year 'cause I will probably favor Gwendolyn and mine is still a 3*).
I wonder if I'll have Lyn in five months.

Kieran is bae. Kieran is life.
Kieran and Oscar are the first Christmas Knights that I can actually tell apart.
Everyone before them is basically Cain and Abel but spelled weird.
