First August was the only exception in the spriggan 12, for being far stronger, then they included Irene and now Rakheid. :getlost:
So August is the strongest man, Irene the strongest Women and Larcade the strongest child or what?

So, another poll about who is Natsu's sister-in-law?

Rakheid was certainly not born from natural circumstances considering Mavis' status.
-
She was "dead" for a while, and she has "known pleasure". This is not apropiate for this age range.

13 is just the age she stopped developing. Not sure how long she's been alive before getting intimate with Zeref. Some magic was probably involved.
It's not that big of a deal to me, but I can't help but wonder if it was really necessary to leave her at child age instead of letting her grow a little during her origin story.
-
Even with the whole frozen in a crystal thing I'm pretty sure Mavis is actually in her 40s or something mentally
-
Pretty sure there's some genetic manipulation shit going on.
-
Like, Zeref thought he might create a being able to kill him by mixing his genes with the genes of another person with Ankhseram curse? Like, it would result in the infant being gifted with some super magic? Imagine Zeref's disappointment, lol.
Don't see how he can block blades barehanded. It's not like orgasm magic has much to do with being super hard or som… Yeah, ok.
-
Man, these last few chapters of just been a blast to read. Out of all the things I expected from the manga, orgasm magic and finding out who's a virgin and who's not was something I never expected. That and the fact Mavis and Zeref had a child together is just a whole different level of wtf. Now can anything else top this level of insanity, or have reached the peak of madness from this manga?

We've just seen the basic outlines of Rakheid's magic. Plenty of room for more crazy there.
-
Yeah Mavis stopped aging around 13 but she lived for quite some time after that. She's probably equivalent to a 30 or 40 year old. Buuuut. The timing of when she could have had this kid who looks to be a young adult is what makes this even weirder.
-
Mental maturity or no, the sight of a 13 year old girl squirming with orgasmic pleasure is still pretty offputting.
Anyway, this is the point where I as a totally-out-pf-the-loop non reader asks: what exactly is the thrust of the current story arc? is it just "beat up Zeref and every last one of his cronies"?I've been checking in every now and then, and it feels like they've been fighting these Spriggan bozos forever. To an outsider it more or less seems like the Kubo method of writing a war: endless one on ones, precious little narrative momentum. Or am I way off?

Basic jist is Zeref wants to obtain Mavis's body for the ultimate magic Fairy Heart. They invaded the continent to get the magic, which all the guilds came to help out. Half the group was taken out, then brought back for some reason to be taken out very quickly. So yeah, basically nothing really going on for it, especially with Mavis no longer in immediate danger.
Oh, there is one important thing that may not have come across very well. August is a really strong mage, nothing like we have ever seen before.
-
Dont understand the point of having Kagura being used as tool hype when she hasnt meant anything ever since she lost to Pre SO Erza, she would have to be at least Tartaros level Erza to be useful in this War Arc.

Is Fairy Heart a thing that'll help him commit suicide? Or wasn't that through Acknologia? Zeref really wanting to die is the only thing about him I remember (besides him being incredibly boring), so him being some sort of emperor with tonnes of loyal subjects is weird to me.

Zeref is really weird, because he wants to die yet he doesn't necessarily want to. As far as I remember Fairy Heart is more for using against Acnologia, but I think it does possibly have the power to take him down. This series makes about as much sense as Bleach, maybe even less.
-
As long as Holy Orgasm Guy is around, I'm going to keep on reading. I know for a fact he'll be defeated with some ol' bullshit, but for as long as he is around I will take joy in laughing at Mashima's ineptitude.

This. Kagura didn't prove in the slightest that she's stronger than before and this doesn't really help her case. Unless we knew that she's on the same level as current Erza, the fight doesn't actually prove anything. When she get stomped like this, it just makes her look weak. We still don't have any indication of Holy Orgasm Guy's power.

Decided to go to the FT wiki because I have no clue by this point either.
- 400 years ago Zeref learned too much and got cursed so he kills everyone around him.
- Begin the "I wish I was dead"
- His brother Natsu is dead and he attempts to revive him. Natsu = E.N.D. and is supposed to kill Zeref.
- Meanwhile the dragon slayer Acnologia, who is a human but can turn into a dragon, kills dragons and eats their souls.
- Igneel and the other 4 dragons got part of their souls eaten and are understandably offended, so they want to stop Acnologia.
- But they're too hurt! So they train Dragon Slayers!
- Zeref thinks that sounds interesting. He helps them.
- Dragons hatch genius plan: there's too little magic to heal their souls, but 400 years in the future there'll be more magic so they can heal! So they hide in the bodies of their dragon slayers, and with Zeref's and Lucy's Mother's help they are transported 400 years into the future! Also this prevents the dragon slayers from turning into dragons like Acnologia because "etherious anti bodies"
- Acnologia wants to kill all dragonslayers
- 400 years later, Zeref meets the ghost of Mavis and tells her this:
- He's seen humanity repeatedly screw itself over and over for the last 400 years, and he's really sick of it. He might as well annihilate humanity. Also "World reject me, so now, I REJECT THE WORLD".
- He invades Ishgal so he can acquire Fairy Heart and destroy humanity with it.
- Fairy Heart = Unlimited Magic Power Source = Mavis Body
- Natsu fails to kill him. Zeref is dissapointed, he waited 400 years for that shit, and declared "there's no stopping now".
- He isn't an ally or an enemy of Acnologia, but he has considered fighting him later so Acnologia can get a "real challenge".
Also at some point the dragons popped out of the dragon slayers bodies and failed to kill Acnologia.
-
Fairy Heart = Kill All Humans
E.N.D. (Natsu) = Kill Zeref -
Therefore if Kill Zeref = E.N.D. we can conclude that when Zeref dies, it's the end of everything, Period
-
This post is deleted!
-
Mavis was in her 20s when she died though, basically its a case like Tatsumaki from OPM..
-
LordPerucho, randomly spoiling unrelated manga since August 2014.
-
So Zeref possibly fucked jailbait?
Seems reasonable for Mashima.
-
His editor is definitely dead.
-
At least Mashima is making progress and improving. Some weeks ago I complained about the lack of poses emphasizing both at the same time tits and asses. However, now Mashima surpassed himself with this absolute masterstroke!
Though there's still room for improvement - as the ass isn't shown completely. But I guess this upcoming ultimate masterpiece of tit-and-assery will be in the very final chapter then…
-
So August is the strongest man, Irene the strongest Women and Larcade the strongest child or what?
One doesn't simply take the word "strongest" in Fairy Tail, as face value.
First it was "Twelve Spriggans"
then reduced to "Six Monsters"
Finally we have "Three Exceptions"The next is probably "Singularity" reserved for August because he's supposed to be that awesome :getlost:

I think Elein did a pretty fine job at being impressive.
-
August can be described as:
-
Hey, I actually forgot about this manga after last month and now I come back to this. What ever this is…can only end in a joke win. Mark my words, Light boy here is being built like Enel, and his Luffy will be revealed soon.
I'm betting it's going to be Lucy, even though common sense would suggest that's not going to happen. That's why I know I'm right.

Also August alone was depicted as being special as well as both August and Irene. And there we only need something with four in order to get the prime factorization complete.

Well, it's implied only Mavis can do something about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought "Six Monsters" refers to Gajeel and his gang.

Zeref's story if I've got this right;
My brother is dead. I will now dedicate my life to finding a way to bring him back to life through magic.
Oops! It seems that by studying "life" magic I have gained the ability to kill everything within a fifty-foot-fucking radius of myself and have also become undying by proxy somehow?
I will now create creatures that are capable of killing me because, even though immortality is the logical conclusion to the "life" magic that i wanted and would also give me an almost infinite amount of time to research magic in general and a way to bring my brother back, it isn't technically what i wanted.
Oops! It seems the creatures, which i will now call demons even though by default calling them demons implies that angels exist and therefore a god of some sort in general exists, may not be strong enough to kill me. I will now somehow create an exact replica of my dead brother and use it as some sort of deus ex machina in case the demons fail, even though i created them to specifically kill me, I feel as though they still might not be capable.
I will now wander the world for an unspecified amount of time and have my life become something of legend and have people create a religious cult based on my life?
I will now start a country somehow, because why the fuck not.
I will now teach this random girl and her compatriots magic and after doing so leave for an unspecified amount of time and then return years later only to let said girl, who really should be a grown woman by now maybe, know that she too is undying and we should be together because I love her maybe, I'm not too sure what I see in her to be honest.
Oops! At some point in time I made it with this chick and am now a father, I will never speak of it however and never bring it up to her or her friends and neither will she because we made a blood oath of some sort never to speak of our child, that happened maybe.
Now I have shifted my focus from dying to this ancient dragon slayer because, even though he can probably fulfill my wish of killing me which my made-by-me demons could not, I believe my efforts would be best spent trying to stop him now.
I will now spend an unspecified amount of time wandering the world again, only to end up on the island of the chick I made it with that one time, I don't know why I'm here, but I am and I'm ok with that. I will confront my replicant-brother and speak to him in a vague manner implying that we've met before even though i know for certain he couldn't possibly know me. I will then kill some random guy who called himself a god-slayer and then leave the island and wander the world again.
After seven years of waiting I will now enact my long and winded plan to kill the chick I love(?), stop the ancient dragon-slayer, defeat the demons i created to specifically kill me, and commit a murder/suicide by having the my replicant-brother kill me.
-

Yes
Oops! It seems that by studying "life" magic I have gained the ability to kill everything within a fifty-foot-fucking radius of myself and have also become undying by proxy somehow?
He was cursed to be more accurate.
Played with life and death due to love of his dead brother. Kills everytime he loves and unable to die.I will now create creatures that are capable of killing me because, even though immortality is the logical conclusion to the "life" magic that i wanted
Immortality is not the logical conclusion to resurrection.
He wanted to resurrect his brother. He din't want to make him immortal or caused mass genocide.and would also give me an almost infinite amount of time to research magic in general and a way to bring my brother back, it isn't technically what i wanted.
He wanted to resurrect his brother not caused mass genocide(including all he the people he cared for). Causing so much death is what led him to become suicidal.
It seems the creatures, which i will now call demons even though by default calling them demons implies that angels exist and therefore a god of some sort in general exists,
He didn't call them demons but Etherias. He was cursed by what he believed to be a god and it has been well established they are gods in this world.
I will now somehow create an exact replica of my dead brother and use it as some sort of deus ex machina in case the demons fail, even though i created them to specifically kill me, I feel as though they still might not be capable.
He created Natsu after he realized they were not able to kill him.
I will now wander the world for an unspecified amount of time and have my life become something of legend and have people create a religious cult based on my life?
Pretty sure people have vague descriptions of his deeds and some started a cult. He isn't even sure what the rumor about him are when talking to Mavis.
I will now start a country somehow
He created a center then bitchslapped surrounding guilds into accepting him as emperor and make them them become one
because why the fuck not.
To be able to oppose Achnologia
I will now teach this random girl and her compatriots magic
After sympathizing with her and being enjoy not being alone for a couple of day. He teached them basic stuff in a couple of day. It wasn't some grand commitment.
and after doing so leave for an unspecified amount of time
So his spells doesn't grow out of control.
and then return years later only to let said girl, who really should be a grown woman by now maybe, know that she too is undying
He didn't plan to meet her. Unaging curse so she doesn't age.
and we should be together because I love her maybe, I'm not too sure what I see in her to be honest.
He is alone and kill anyone he gets close. 10 years ago meets a girl that use her power to bring him a little hapiness, sympathize with her which he hasn't done with anyone in a long time and now she is as immortal as him and supposedly immune to his curse. I think it's understanble this companionship would interest him.
At some point in time I made it with this chick and am now a father, I will never speak of it however and never bring it up to her or her friends and neither will she because we made a blood oath of some sort never to speak of our child, that happened maybe.
You could wait to see if he is not simply a clone.
Now I have shifted my focus from dying to this ancient dragon slayer because, even though he can probably fulfill my wish of killing me which my made-by-me demons could not, I believe my efforts would be best spent trying to stop him now.
Pretty sure only a Etherias can kill him or he could simply have asked Igneel. Even if he was beheaded he would not died.
He created Alvarez to counter Acknowlogia so it's not sudden interest.I will now spend an unspecified amount of time wandering the world again, only to end up on the island of the chick I made it with that one time, I don't know why I'm here, but I am and I'm ok with that.
I will confront my replicant-brother and speak to him in a vague manner implying that we've met before even though i know for certain he couldn't possibly know me. I will then kill some random guy who called himself a god-slayer and then leave the island and wander the world again.
He isn't expecting Natsu to recognize him, he simply mentioned that he waited a long time for that. 400 years is pretty long to expect him to say nothing.
After seven years of waiting I will now enact my long and winded plan to kill the chick I love(?), stop the ancient dragon-slayer, defeat the demons i created to specifically kill me, and commit a murder/suicide by having the my replicant-brother kill me.
He is going to use the power of Fairy heart not kill her. He created Alavarez just for Acnologia so it's not like he decided to take him on out of the blue. The demons already proved to be unable to do their job and I'm pretty sure he didn't even mentioned the demons.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought "Six Monsters" refers to Gajeel and his gang.
From what I remember, Gajeel tried to psyche up others that including himself, FT too had their own "Six Monsters" to take on Alvarez's.
-
From what I remember, Gajeel tried to psyche up others that including himself, FT too had their own "Six Monsters" to take on Alvarez's.
Guess that can be seen as 'their own six in order to counter Alvarez' 12'. Damn, so now we need four AND six.
-
1. That was a given it would have been hard for me to mess that bit up
2. The manga says cursed as if that's supposed to make a difference, whether he was cursed or not the point is that he gained the power to kill anything within a certain radius of him and at the same time became undying.
3. Immortality is the logical conclusion to resurrection. The whole point of bringing someone back from the dead is to nullify their death, therefore immortality would be the ultimate nullification of death. Clearly if you're going to research how life and death tie into magic you're going to come across immortality at some point, it's a given.
And the whole "he became suicidal because of the lives he had taken" is ridiculous, so essentially he got what he wanted, he was immortal and he could kill on a whim. so instead of researching more how his power worked he instead decided to mope about his curse which was not a curse technically and plot his own demise4. I'll give you the demon thing; but to be fair have gods really been established in this universe? really? a few mentions here and there, someone says that some guy got cursed by the gods, or it just as well could be some form of magic that has yet to be fully researched, that one time someone summons a "god" to a battle field, even though we know for a fact that celestial spirits exist and can pretty much be summoned under odd conditions. just because you mention a god here and there doesn't mean that gods exist. this isn't chekhov's gun.
5. This is a problem, did he create the demons first and then make the replicant-brother or the other way around? Because the way the demons tell it, he made them and then he just disappeared, so they decide to create as much death as possible to summon him to them so they can then kill him, but they can't, because according to him they aren't strong enough, but he wouldn't know that unless he had already allowed them to try and kill him. And then he made a replicant. I would also like to point he must have achieved that whole, researching life goal thing, because he gave life to demons and a replicant. On top of that immortality thing it looks he's coming out the winner in this thing.
6. The point is that he just wandered the world instead of trying to be productive, if it was me and i was trying to kill myself, i would make that a 24/7 job, there would be no slacking. If I wanted to be dead, as he states he so badly wants it, then it needs to be today, everyday, until the day i get the job done. And i'll know it's done because I'm dead.
7. This is where plot comes in, because it's ridiculous to believe that up until this point he had not been able to communicate with anyone at all if he had been able to talk to mavis, and i say up until this point because were painted a pretty good picture of that whole killing-fucking-everything-within-a-fifty-foot-radius-of-me-thing rather well. Yeah there are cool down periods for his killing-thing because he can't control it so, even by his own admission, this doesn't make sense so i stand by my statement. She was some random girl he met, as far as we the audience are concerned that's what she is, unless plot dictates anything to the contrary, reasonable observation dicates she's some random chick. And her friends and her struggle, as interesting and maybe sympathetic as they seem, should be nothing to a man hell-bent on his own suicide. And he does leave for an unspecified amount of time, i never said he didn't give a reason for why he left, and when he returns it seems he just returns to guest star as the script to deliver exposition. I'll give you the not-aging-because-of-messed-up-spell-thing, but you have got to admit that entire exchange would have only made sense if his intentions were to be malicious and to screw over a random stranger because he was bored or crazy from immortality.
8. I'll give you that. Hell, he might be clone or maybe just another replicant like natsu. To be fair though, the chapter before this does imply that mavis has done the deed, Zeref is mentioned as having a son, and there is that one scene from 450 where they kiss and it's implied they did the deed. So there's that. Unless she died in the very next scene, but I doubt that because mavis is the one telling the story and it would only be natural for her leave out that part where she bones fairy tail's greatest enemy.
9. You say that but as igneel pointed out that dragon-slayer isn't the same as him. And if the case were that he couldn't kill him, why does a man whose goal is to kill himself care about a dragon from his own time, care about dragons in general, yeah they killed his family but he never said he had a grudge against them. He just wants to kill himself. trying to turn him into this master manipulator and grandiose bad guy doesn't divert from the fact that suicide is his main goal.
10. I'll give you the natsu thing, but adding the element of time travel has officially screwed with the time of events in this manga. the time-line is all over the place starting about right after or before he created that replicant.
11. He defeated his own demons, he sealed them back in the book and took the book for himself. Why? I don't know, i was just messing around with that last bit, but it does bring up a good question about his motivations for creating what was compared to him basically fodder. Fairy Heart will kill Mavis, she says she'll disappear once it's removed or something along those line. Before, she was sealed in the magic-rock-stuff, then she foolishly got out. And as far mister hard-to-spell-and-pronounce's-name is concerned i already explained his irrelevance in Zeref's life story. I would like to point out that by not acknowledging it you agree that Zeref is in some weird murder/suicide pact with his replicant-brother that said replicant-brother is clearly unaware of.
12. I wasn't going to bring it up, but yea, I know how he became emperor, I even know why, i was just messing around with that. The real question is what purpose does becoming emperor or any sort of leader serve a man whose mission in life is to die at the hands of his replicant-brother who he sent to the future to help the dragons defeat a dragon-slayer who they helped create, but couldn't keep in check?
-
3. Immortality is the logical conclusion to resurrection. The whole point of bringing someone back from the dead is to nullify their death, therefore immortality would be the ultimate nullification of death. Clearly if you're going to research how life and death tie into magic you're going to come across immortality at some point, it's a given.
And the whole "he became suicidal because of the lives he had taken" is ridiculous, so essentially he got what he wanted, he was immortal and he could kill on a whim. so instead of researching more how his power worked he instead decided to mope about his curse which was not a curse technically and plot his own demiseI'm pretty sure he didn't want to become immortal himself, especialy considering that his immortality is of the sucky type that kills everything he loves.
One of the Spriggan (Di Maria, the psychotic lesbian) literally has God Soul, which is like Marajane's Demon Soul. She uses it to channel Chronos, the God of Time that her people worshipped.
So yeah, Gods exist.
-
Remember that giant thing Natsu finished with 2 punches? I guess that was a God.
-
So he didn't want be immortal, I'll give you that, but my point is that he would have stumbled across the secret to immortality eventually in his research. Because it's reasonable to believe that once you've figured out how to bring people back to life your not too far from figuring out how to stop death entirely. His immortality, even with regard to the killing everything he loves side effect, should not have hindered his research, but instead bolstered it. Which is another thing, what does the whole kill everything he loves side effect even mean? Because he was killing people and animals in general, he says because he loves life in general everything around him dies, but that doesn't make sense you would think after awhile he would then stop loving life, but even if he did would that stop the problem? Also, how did he come to that conclusion that that's how his power even works?
Alright, gods exist, but as far as I'm concerned there less fantastical beings with awesome power and seem to be more like very powerful celestial spirits. If maybe they had been introduced before celestial spirits or even been given some elaboration beyond the exposition that was necessary to explain someone's ability, then I would the I wouldn't be doubting their existence in the first place. That's what I meant by this isn't chekhov's gun, because gods and celestial spirits are pretty much presented the same way except one just seems like a stronger version of the other.

You honestly reminded me I came up with that outlandish idea… I think it has almost no chance of being the case, but after "pleasure" magic, well let's just say it has slightly more chance of being true. It's a bad theory, but it's my bad theory, so I am sticking with it.

Why not? Considering Irene´s scar, by this point I wouldn´t totally discard the chance that Erza is Irene´s removed kidney.
