I re-read the chapter with Josuke using CD on the bike, he never did a flip, DP got it right.
Kill the Ho was an awesome moment, heh.
I noticed in the last 3 episodes Josuke's clothes suddenly started making leather sounds when he moves. Was it always like that?
^^ Never noticed that. Maybe it´s just the shoes?
Wait I always assumed THAT echoes quote was a duwang line that later translaters just left in for fun…. I can't believe it is the legit line.
A shocking amount of Duwang is actually a decent translation of the Japanese, just terribly/perfectly worded.
Kira literally says that he got an erection when he saw the Mona Lisa in the Japanese.

I believe Echoes is actually quoting Die Hard

Mona Lisa has quite the erotic hands can't blame Kira for this.

Jojo vs Zombies round 3
Joubin putting on gloves and tossing out fried chicken is the best out of context Jojo we've had in a while.
I assume it was just the translation choice but on page 14 when Jojo said "I need to get one for Holly-san so I can perform another 'equivalent exchange' like the one that happened to my body." The first thing that came to mind was JoJo fusing with his mom and becoming yet another new character.
also that fried chicken is still wack in context. Who goes to a public place and throws fried chicken to lure out some amputee? I can't wait for the december issue (or is it technically the "January" issue?)
So wait, was that Emporio? What was the deal with that ending?
@TLC:
So wait, was that Emporio? What was the deal with that ending?
Maybe it is the work of an enemy stand.

If it is, I think it is just SBR universe version of Emporio like how Karera is SBR Yukako, Yoshikage is a mix of Kira and Jotaro etc.
My guess on the ending is: giving Jojo the tooth is related to setting up a stand attack.
edit: I was ninja'd
Hahaha. I just wasted time trying to figure out how you guys got Emporio out of the amputee chicken guy. Oh yeah….Other stuff happened this chapter.
I don't think that's Emporio. Probably a red herring at best. His existence here would raise a lot of questions, like why is he in Japan, when did he learn to speak Japanese, and why is my brain broken?
I strongly approve of Jobin's characterization as a sniveling coward who knows he's going to fucking die if Gappy finds him.
I strongly approve of Gappy being the kind of guy that will fucking kill a guy when he need to

Gappy doesn't want fried chicken, he wants large fries.
Weird amputee Rock Man wants fried chicken, but not large fries.
WAR WERE DECLARED
@TLC:

Na. Probably just a reference.
My assumption is that the kid turned into a "zombie".
Basically, despite it´s looks, amputee zombie is just a very old rock man.
I guess the "shadow tooth" bit the kid and it took some time converting him or whatever. That´s why he stops in the end, and turns around, slowly walking towards Gappy.
It's out.
2nd Diamond is Unbreakable Anime Soundtrack (that's not connect to a Bluray release) is coming out near Christmas
What is the narrator from Baoh doing in this week's episode?
Stray Cat, stop eating my lasagna!

So, we are getting Super Fly, Cheap Trick and Enigma all occurring simultaneously ?

It's been a while since I read the manga but didn't all three plus
! Kira killing Hayato and getting Bites the Dust
happen on the same day, hence the July 15th title for the anime?
Well that was a solid episode. While not all characters get to necessarily do much, it is cool seeing different ones help in a way at some point. I completely forgot two of these stands were in this part, the only one that I did remember being the Pylon stand. So if I recall correctly after this group is finished…
! We only have the final battle right? Rohan will finish his little part then after that we have nothing but Kira goodness, which I am guessing all of the Kira stuff will probably be around 4 episodes.

There are 39 episodes and today was 33 I think.
I still haven´t seen the episode, so I´m not sure where it ended, but if they managed to finish Cheap Trick in the first half of next week, 5 and half episodes seems like a good number to cover
! That´s not my dad, Bites the Dust, Crazy Diamond is Unbreakable and the last 2 chapters, which is something like 24 chapters.

! Bites the dust was on the next day. The rest were all in the same day, even though the anime may change that.

Judging by the end of today's episode I don't think they will
! It looks like Cheap Trick will take place in the evening and then we will get Kira being caught by Hayato killing the couple in that same evening, probably the ending of next weeks episode. Then presumably the bath scene happens that evening as soon as Kira gets home so Bites the Dust will still be the next day.
That was a great episode. Made me enjoy a fight I didn´t really cared much for in the manga. I was just a bit sad that they didn´t add Kinoto´s pencil scene due to time constraintments, but Enigma was great.
One thing that has been surprising me is how all of these minor villain keep getting their own theme and all of them really fit the overall stand.
Superfly with a mechanical sound that progrressively turns into a fast paced light rock, Cheap Trick with a "Jester from Hell/Hall of horrors" type of thing that progressively gets more intense and Enigma with a very unsettling string of sounds.
Duwang. What a beautiful word.
Kira's, Dio Brando's and Pucci's songs were spot on, also, they missed the chance to use "A whole new world" for DIO's song.
So just picking up this series. Would y'all suggest I go the manga or anime route first?

I'd go with the anime, which has done a great job of adapting everything, warts and all. There's been some small omissions from scenes, especially in part 4 to try and fit the manga pacing to anime, but the anime is a lot of fun, and a lot easier to understand when going through it. Then just go through the manga in order from there. Hang in through the first part, since a lot of people consider it weaker, if not the weakest Jojo, but it's pretty short. The second part is one of the strongest.
The anime is currently almost through part 4, so that's half of Jojo by parts covered in anime (though not really half in length, considering the first two parts are pretty short). The manga is currently on part 8. Beware that Part 5 still doesn't have good full scans. There's a team working on it that's close-ish to the end, but there's still 2+ volumes of poorly-scanned materials. The same team has done colored scans on everything else, including later parts (and the first bit of the current part, even), and there's some color scans on part 5, too. The color scans are a blessing, and really make some of the more confusing chapters of the series readable.

When I think the internet can't surprise me anymore.

If you have time, the Anime would be a good place to start.
The manga art style for the first 2/3 parts is similar to Fist of the North Star, so if you don´t like that, the anime does a good job with keeping that "oldie" vibe while updating some of the older features.
Part 3 can also be quite boring to read at first, since the pace of the manga, as well as the action style radically changes from the first 2 parts. The anime is extremely well done.
As for part 4, maybe the odd suggestion of starting the anime, watch 10 episodes, and then switching to manga? Sounds odd, but it might be the better choice if you intend to read Part 5 (Not yet animated), which can have a confusing art style for a new reader.
However, if you like 80´s manga´s art, Read Part 1 and 2. With 50 chapters each, it´s pretty easy and fast to read.
Batoto has all the parts.
I am a manga person, so I am always of the opinion you should go with the manga. It is the original work, it is the thing as the author intended (and as the author made).
However, I have to admit JoJo's anime is an exceptional adaptation and sometimes it manages to even surpass the original source (Part 3 episodic style fits much better the anime than the manga), so if you are not a purist kind of person I don't think you will actually be losing anything if you go with it.
The art itself is often poor, though, something you don't have to worry when reading the manga (the Bluray version teaks it here and there, so try to find this one to download if you are going with the anime).
So just picking up this series. Would y'all suggest I go the manga or anime route first?
If we are talking first impression, then the 2012 anime probably makes a better one. It is a very well directed and paced adaptation of the first two manga parts which were written in late eighties and might have dated a little. If you like that, then you can move on to read the manga from the beginning. The following 2014 anime season is much better animated, but lacks the atmosphere and pacing of the first one, so it might be a chore to get throught even to some familiar with the manga. Anyway.
Also, the digitally coloured manga might look cleaner than some old scans, but it is not made by Araki himself, so it is not anywhere near as fabulous and vibrant as the original colour pages.
Well that was a well done episode, and the second half, especially the end part, was really good.
! So hyped for the climax, because even if I don't remember everything it's one of my favorite fights of all of Jojo. I completely forgot about the bath scene and the way they did this episode it was super creepy. The whole murder thing was pretty gruesome and creepy as well. Not everyday you clip someone's fingernails right before they blow you up leaving only your hand behind.
