I'm not actually that surprised that the fillers are continuing.
But that's just me.

Yeah, that Gaiden info hasn't been confirmed yet.
2 episodes for 6 kishi chapters seems ok to me.
Well, it can cram 10 chapters of intense battle-close up poser shots-ridiculous revealing of 50 final jutsus kind of chapters, but KKG is kinda emotional and the anime people like to drag.
Anyway, seems that wasn't true, so nevermind.
@yokaiforte:
I count five biju.
That would be 1, 2, 3, missingno that was already captured, missingno that is already captured.
I know the statue-thingy had two eyes opened while sucking the 1tail out of Gaara, but are we sure that one of the eyes merely is because of him? Or is there a shot of 3 opened eyes? I don't remember…

They said they've caught 2 before gaara , two that were easily captured because they were outcasts in their villages. i can't be bother to look through all the cahpter to look where exactly was it said and who said it.
here are the episode titles for 200 and 201
200: ??????????????!
Konoha's Yellow Flash Appears!201: ??? ???! ??? ?????
Kakashi's Tears! The Sharingan Awakenshmmmmmmm
Finally no more fillers… I hope they get to the time skip after this.
nyugen this was a prank. There's still anbd unending line of fillers ahead.
maybe they'll never end da fillars~
I'm tellin ya, this is gonna be another Kenshin.
and yet, Kenshin ended their filler arc after 30ish episodes. Naruto's filler arc is over twice that.
isn't it at like 70 something now?
I like the one where they hold a soc hop to save the ninja youth center!!
Holy crap 70 episodes? Thats just plain pathetic.
That's why I don't watch Naruto anymore
I still do from time to time cause there are still some nice eps in the middle of all this mumbojumbo.
But is it worth watching the other 60+ crappy episodes? I just download them to see when i'm unemployed.
Too bad Kakashi gaiden isn't starting. That would be sweet.
i dont know why they just didnt finish off kakshi gaiden and then show the fillers
Because the Kakashi Gaiden was the marking distinction between the two and a half year break.
Cause Kakashi gainden was the filler for the time gap in manga So if the animated Kakashi gaiden and the continued with fillers i bet many people would be pissed when on ep started with "And now 2 and a half years later …"

there is no such thing as manga filler, anime filler is defined by what is not in the manga so…
Uh, sure there is.
Little side adventures used by an author to put space between events, to delay the start of a new event, etc.
hmmmmmmmmmm so kinda like DBF in OP?
Well, I couldn't necessarily count that as filler since it was part of the main story.
@Cap'n:

I think as far as relevance to the story, Oda could have removed the DBF and the overall plot wouldn't have been changed. Personally, the DBF looked like a short spoof of the arsinine "tournament" segments of all shounen manga that take up volumes and volumes in the most bland manner.
any good shounen though can pull off a good tournament (like HxH)
Hey I have a question.
If every ninja is limited to one, even rarer two, elements, how does the Sharingan work?
i consider DBF to be filler too but that's been discussed too much already and it's offtopic.
yokai that's something Naruto would like to know as well but Kakashi doesn't tell (aka Kishi doesn't even know himself )
any good shounen though can pull off a good tournament (like HxH)
Generally, all tournaments are good, but they're only included in a story when the author has no clear idea of how to continue writing a manga.
Oda just poked fun at the stereotype.
Hey, I have another question.
Why would Oro want to learn every technique if he himself is probably also limited to one or two elements?
@yokaiforte:

Nobody is limited to any element. The test Kakashi did with the paper just tells you what element suits you best.

Yeah, I heavily doubt that was the intent of the Davy Backfight.

It's where your chakra is aligned with. That would mean that, since the chakra acts in a certain way, the natural molding of the chakra would be rather hard to pull off, just as the Kage Buyo was hard for Sasuke to pull off and was in need of modification.
In that, the rarity is that one person can use said combination technique or using two different elements. Even if Oro knows these techniques, the requirement to mold each and every technique would be hard to mold.

I know that. I'm just saying no one is limited to any element. They can know jutsu from each element, it would be hard for elements that weren't their's

No. There is no limit. You know what? Now I find that any talk of element and him not using the technique ridiculous, because there'll be thousands of techniques that he won't be using (Sexy Jutsu being one)
So I actually gave the manga a try since up to now I had just watched the anime (prior to learning of OP and other shows) and have read part 2, holy boring Batman, it feels like a chore to keep reading this manga…....and it does seem that the art gets steadily worse and worse and worse
The naruto filler is the absolute worst filler I have seen, and I have seen over 200 series/movies these past 3 years.

That makes it even more of a Nen ripoff. :getlost:
That makes it even more of a Nen ripoff. :getlost:
You mean chi?
(It's all basically the same thing.)
Nen, as in HxH…
Because HXH is so damn original.
DBF was an adventure. It's often extremely clear that Oda has a lot of foresight, so Gaimon and Laboon and the rest really aren't diversions at all. It should be cool to see things happen in addition to advancement.
I'm considering Naruto AGAIN, for the 3rd time. I stopped at episode 55. Should I give it another try?

Sure, why not?
Because it's boring?
I might still enjoy it…
It's VERY boring?! Er...
I'm lost for words with Naruto. You should probably give it another chance, if only for
! Naruto vs. Sasuke where it picks up, but it drops again for part two…
It's really not BAD, but I think Kishimoto's pacing is to blame, really.
(Yeah, the head shots)
Sasuke vs. Naruto sucked.
@yokaiforte:
Sasuke vs. Naruto sucked.
agreed one powered up attack after another
But it beat everything else before that.
Rock Lee vs. Gaara.
Naruto vs. Neji
Neji vs. Hinata.
These were surely the greater fights.

No hang on, that's not what I was talking about!
Sorry for confusing you guys - I LIKED ALL THAT!!
I'm talking about everything that happened after Itachi's first appearance, that's when things got boring.
After all that stuff, Naruto vs. Sasuke was the only part where the pace started to pick up, then it just dropped again.
Naruto VS Neji is the fight i'm never bored to watch. i also enjoyed the whole tsunade chase but i know a lot didn't like it.
but the whole 'rescue sasuke' was average except:
but, for once, it was better handled in the manga.
hehehe igalsfy i'm the same
and i liked the Naruto cs Sasuke fight … in the manga. The anime version sucked.
