@Daz:
Yes, and Luffy tried to capitalize on it- But he failed.
The very instant Luffy realizes that the birdcage is still up, he rushes at full speed to finish off Doffy -but he doesn't make it. He can't close the distance in time, because he'd punched Doffy too far away.
So in the end Doffy being imbedded in the mountain didn't matter, because Luffy failed to use it to his advantage -despite trying his best. He was not truly "at the mercy" of Luffy, because at that moment, Luffy was not in a position to actually hurt him.
Luffy crash lands literally at the foot of the mountain Doffy is in, from which he floats down moments later. Luffy cannot even stand under his own power, and even loses conciousness completely shortly afterwards. If Gatz and the others hadn't whisked Luffy away, Doffy could've killed him with extraordinary ease; He was not out of gas in the same way Luffy was post G4, he was capable of closing the gap and finishing the job.
And the entire manga is extremely vocal about this. Gatz and his team are straight up announcing that "shit, we need to buy time for Luffy to recover, so he can finish this! We need to stall Doffy! In other words, without our intervention Luffy would not have time to recover, because Doffy would kill him, hence why we are manually removing Luffy from Doffys range"
I don't give a crap about "Luffy vs Doffy, Final Destination, no items", but you seem to lack memory, or basic comprehension of the scene, all to paint a picture of Doffy being more inferior to Luffy than presented. In your mind, Luffy could've KO'd Doffy while the latter was in the mountain if he'd only been allowed to, only something distracted/blocked him. In your mind, Doffy wouldn't have been able to find Luffy even without Gatz interference, because Doffy was so disoriented that he didn't see where Luffy wound up, and wouldn't have been able to find him anyway.
Neither of these things are true. You can debate powerlevels till the cows come home, but at least get your facts straight.
lol, lol, so in your mind you disagree?
thats funny because in the manga luffy said one more blow will do it, and like King cannon rightfully said, had it not been for the seconds of premature celebration he would only need one more blow, so Daz how many more blows did luffy take to finish off Joker? am not debating powerlevels i am clearly telling you what was shown and implied, you seem to lack logic or awareess perhaps? Or did your eyes fail to send the image of what transpired to your brain? despite the stalling, Doffy in the end was unable to find luffy, until he decided to use the two princesses to lure him out, which after all his battering of the warriors was proved to be fruitless because no one listened to his request to bring strawhat to him.luffy might have lacked gas, but joker had no fire. So you can in your mind picture Joker to be as superior to luffy as much as your mind can bear to perceive, but from what was shown, i will go with it.
heres the conclusion, both Joker and strawhat were exhausted and bruised, both had time outs luffy's was mu h shorter duration, one gave everyhing he had, luffy gave everything he had according to what we know as of now, when the dust settled, Luffy kicked joker ass just like he said he would.
oh daz how many more times will we have to see it, before its locked at the back of the minds of every reader of OP, luffy might be on the ground, but unless he is dead, he can and will hurt you if you are his enemy. Can you disprove this claim?
