This seems relevant too – http://forums.sensescans.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=1oopfth8plgcq6m8sm5ifogaf1&topic=3112.0
Oh there's another chapter- http://bato.to/read/_/347921/magi_ch282_by_sense-scans/3
I'm not too thrilled about Arba being subjected that easily by Sinbad but I'll reserve judgment till I see how it plays out. It does have potential and could make for a deadly villain combo right there. Kogyoku's hatred and thirst for revenge could be very well used in a decisive moment against Sinbad. Interesting to keep in mind.
And of course there's Reim too. Titus it may not be but Muu and his squad might be up for a challenge against the power of the world (i.e. which is only Sinbad atm).
The biggest changes and the thing I'm looking forward to the most will be all the general changes that happened during that two-year-timeskip. How well has Haku been doing as the Kou emperor? How influential has Sinbad become? What's the relationship of Alibaba's household and Haku like? A lot of things I'm looking forward to seeing unveiled.
-
Either that dragon move slow as hell or the world of Magi is way bigger than ours.
EDIT:

I liked sinbad better when he was morally ambiguous..now he is just a straight up villain
-
I liked sinbad better when he was morally ambiguous..now he is just a straight up villain
What part of him is evil? Hes still as ambiguous as the first time we knew he was half fallen
-
I think there is more in him than this straightforward villainy;he perhaps accepted David's rukh to finish him for once and for all.I don't think author will end his character in negative manner.
-
The page with him and Gyokuen says it all I think. Sinbad was shown in White Rukh. Guess he's using people for a means to an end. As he said: he is not David himself, acting on his own.
Still very ambiguous.
-

the part who chooses to collaborate with Arba comes to mind.

I'm starting to believe that Sinbad is using the formula of "white rukh=good" to do all kinds of shady things while staying pure in that particular context. You know, take the concept and throw it on its head.
-
I can't decide which one is Chaotic Good and or which is Lawful Evil.
-
What are the chances Sinbad decides to fuck Arbakuei? As a way to make Hakuryuu turn bad again?
Chapter set up deathflags on Hakuei, Kougyoku and Morg.
-
the part who chooses to collaborate with Arba comes to mind.
He's using her.
He would be a fool to turn her down when she's throwing herself at him.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
By the way, Alibaba needs a serious power up. Just his Amon really won't cut it.
-
Dangai Alibaba is coming, get ready to see him return with a Mullet.
-
The way Sinbad, David and Gyokuen were handled is meh for me and doesn't make that excited for the finale at all. I expected a little more emotion from Morgiana also.
I did however like the part with the brothers and I'm happy they are reunited once again. Also Kougyokou anger is a pretty interesting to follow.
In the end, while the main cast doesn't really interest me for the finale, the side character had some good moments that made the chapter good.
-
time skip here we come.
-
I don't even know what to think with the whole David/Sinbad/Arba. I'd say I don't like it cause' as I've said so many times, I prefered the goofier Sinbad than this David mix kebab thingie wingie. Also, it opens a huge can of worms as to where exactly the fusion happened and its exact terms. We'll see, I guess.
It's all pretty ballsy, though.
-
Theory: He's David reincarnation, and part of his half falen thing is about being David and simbad accepting who he actually is.
-
Sinbad is using his David part… maybe i was right with the half-fallen explanation.
If Alibaba uses Solomon's consciousness, does that makes him Aladdin's dad? :ninja:
Hard thing a month without Magi.
-
I think that judar is Solomon's reincarnation. Would make it more cruel and twisted for what arba did to him.
-
I think that judar is Solomon's reincarnation. Would make it more cruel and twisted for what arba did to him.
That would be weird. Especially since Aladdin used Solomon's wisdom on him…
-

That would make him Al's father?
-
Glad Kouen is alive. He and his brothers will help in the final battle I guess.
Poor Hakuryuu. First his mom, now his sister is Arba. He's gonna spend the rest of his life in a padded room if he survives. Two year time skip, huh? Don't quite understand what's going on but I can't wait to see Alibaba one-shot a Pacifista and Mor's new bikini top outfit. The first shoe dropped and Maader is freaking out beautifully.
!
Love Jafar and Rurumu's straight faces while asking for their money. -
A timeskip torwards a last arc is kinda weird.
-
I honestly think it's because it's almost to the last arc that the author is doing a skip. It's the last chance to give the characters new looks.
-
Can't wait to see Alibaba be back as a skeleton
-
Aladdin probably used some time suspension magic on his body, or encased his body in ice, or some other convenient thing like that.
Fact we haven't even seen Alibaba's funeral points strongly towards something like that. You know, whatt happened to the funeral pyre and everyone crying while his body is becoming ash? That's a pretty big deal to be skipped completely.

From Ohtaka's tegaki blog, new entry:
http://tegaki.pipa.jp/525880/25298082.html
Summary by Hayatempest on MH:
'King Vessel Selection'
The tegaki starts when Kouen is 12. Kou is fighting Gai, when Hakuren comes to save En and Hakuyuu, he tells them to retreat, and calls Kouen a fool when he stays behind to fight alone. Kouen declares he'll kill every last one of them. When Yuu regains consciousness in the Kou camp, Kouen tells Yuu that Gai are monsters and did atrocious things to the Kou people. He said they are not humans, will never forgive them and will not rest until he kills every last one of them. Yuu reasons that Gai are still humans, just like Kouen and him, but Kouen retorts that Gai are not in any way like Yuu. In the flashback, Gai village girls were caught and presented to Yuu, and the latter tells the soldiers to provide them with clothes, food and accompany them back to their village. The soldiers are perplexed and Yuu declares that their enemy is the Gai soldiers, not the women, children and the elderly.
When the flashback ends, Kouen tells Yuu that he's frustrated for not being able to properly protect Yuu, and Yuu reassures him that he's thankful that his arm is still attached to his body and he's glad Kouen is safe. Kouen says that it's still not right, because Kouen thinks his and Yuu's life aren't of the same importance. He explains if he died nothing will change, but on the other hand, Hakutoku's blood is flowing through Yuu's veins, and so, Yuu's life is precious. Yuu then tells Kouen that he'll tell him a secret and that there isn't such a thing as a precious life and that which isn't. On the battlefield, everyone is the same and death doesn't discriminate (iffy). Yuu believes what's going to be passed on is not blood (royal or not), but a person's will, and he hopes Kouen will understand someday.
The scene shifts to Judar and Gyokuen four years later. Gyokuen asks Judar if Kou is to his liking, and Judar says that he senses a lot of king vessels in this country. Gyokuen agrees and says that even though Kou united the three kingdoms, it still needs a lot of power. Judar then says that Yuu and Ren are different, and Gyokuen says that she understands what he's saying and that those two can't become Judar's kings. They'll look for someone else for Judar to accompany to the dungeon.
-
That was the greatest reveal of a timeskip I've ever seen, pretty much out of no where
-
There were signs, though. Like how suddenly all the "bad guys" are dealt with and there's no immediate threat of any kind.
-
It sucks that that we didn't get to see much of Kokuhyou Shuu and Seiryuu Ri….
Kou civil war arc was a disappointment. -

Kou civil war arc was a disappointment. No one cared for them, they lost their hype the moment Hakuryuu mindfucked them and after that Gyouken trashed them
-
I really liked how the civil war was handled. Might just be me though.
Anyways, I always wondered why Hakuryuu's brothers never went to the dungeons and got themselves metal vessels. Looks like there is a reason behind it.
Also lol at Kouen fighting on the frontlines at age 12.

Glad that Kouen's execution was faked.
He doesn't deserve this kind of ending and lol, Sinbad totally made Gyokuen his bitch.

Is it Togashi day already?

Personally, I'm excited to see new designs and powers after the timeskip. I strongly dislike Sindbad collaborating with Arba, imho he just went from like 30% to full 100% in terms of shadiness. Haku seems to be getting back on the right track a little by showing "mercy" for Kouen, but I'm afraid Judar will nullify all that once he gets back. Interested to see things unravel in the first chapters after the timeskip, as they will set the mood for the last arc.
-
This was the greatest delivery of a mood wisplash I've ever seen in a long time. The reveal in that ship and the last page sent chills down my spine.

I think by the time Alibaba and Judar return, Judar will have spent too much time near him. Plus he wasn't really that evil from the start. If Hakuryuu could flip a new page, so can Judar. I don't really see him as a major villain any more.

The moment Arba soul/ruhk went to Hakueis body.

I'm not so sure about that, Judar never showed any willingness to change, not even in the Dark Continent with Albibaba by his side. The brainwashing done by Al-Thamen seems to have messed him up for good and I can see him maybe be a little less sadistic, but I could never imagine Judar undergoing a true change of heart. I can only pray that you're right and Alibaba gets through to him during the timeskip, so we might get to see a different side to his character because I found him a little onesided and his charades got a little old as well. But he's probably going to return as the same as*hole as always.
-
Look folks. Sinbad.
-
-
I sure love Masmur. Especially since he actually helped Sinbad(with the brainwashing) before being helped.
-
If you think you are controlling Sindbad, you're gonna have a bad time…
-
16 chars of ten days.
Hope a second fight with Masrur.
-
Only a week left until the new chapter and even less than that until first spoilers. Since the last stretch is always the toughest, here is a little cornucopia of Magi goods to hold out and persevere.
Magi volume 27 cover and omake.
Adventure of Sinbad volume 8 cover and omake.
To celebrate the Sinbad anime announcemnet, Magi will have both the cover and the lead colour pages. It has been a while since the last one. For some reason, Ohtaka does a lot of covers but few colour pages. This issue is going to be a keeper.
-
Hahahaha, oh I love the omakes.
-
I love the 27 cover. It makes me nostalgic.
The Omake was both funny and interesting.
-
-
! Wonder where the story is going from here. Seems interesting though.
