I'm talking about current students in school so former elite ten judges deosn't count
They're secondary characters. Of course they count.
Also how in the world are Isami, Nikimi, and Megumi are more interesting than kurokiba.
By actually having built characters
Don't get me wrong I love nikumi but her characters is basically a tsundere right now and nothing else.
And Kurokiba is all about the whole "Oh I have a secret firey side to me! And that's it"
Everytime we see her it's her being a tsundere towards souma
And every time we see Kurokiba it's either doing nothing or cooking.
]quote]Megumi character only shows kindness , And has had character development that showed progress throughout the series culminating in her victory of advancing in the prelims. Sure she lost against Kurokiba but she's had a shit ton of character built into her as the series progressed.
she even has her own replica in this series with a character name miyuki(souma's childhood friend).
Similar but very different. Miyuki's had zero time built into showing who she is but even then we kinda get a sense of who she is. A childhood friend of Souma's who's had a lingering affection for him that has zero aptitude in cooking
Contrast with Megumi who's family runs a ryokan and sent her off to learn about the outside world where she's struggled since then til Soma helped her up. Waaayyy more character development and we see her personal journey.
They are basically the same character that;s how uninteresting or should I say bland she is.I've seen enough characters like her from other series.
Well congratulations for seeing that common tropes exist without seeing how the execution goes!
The author barely uses Isami and there is nothing more to his character instead of looking up to his big brother.
And even then he's still more interesting than Kurokiba.
As I said before there are two dimensions with kurokina's character which makes him interesting.
"Two Facets" is not the same thing as "two dimensions" when both facets are incredibly one dimensional.
Which can be fine. I enjoy it. But that interesting character development singular lines do not make.
He might not have more personality than other and that's mostly because we haven't seen some interaction with him and other characters.
Noted, but then why are you saying he's way more interesting than most of the cast if he has -zero- character development?
