@DARK_RITUAL:
Im not underestimating anyone, your the one underestimating Sanji and overhyping Pekoms just because he one-shot Caribo who didn't even have any idea who he was fighting.
Oda can off-screen such thing. Right now the sunny team are getting some work done off-screen which I believe or guess Oda won't just jump back to them while they are in middle of whatever they are doing. Oda would probably show the conclusion then later do a flashback to what happened.
Pekoms is an Emperor crewmember with a DF, Haki and relatively high bounty. He's legitimately hyped.
If you're somebody's subordinate, you're lucky to even have a bounty to begin with.
@DARK_RITUAL:
That's why I said Kidd is not a yonko, so Pekoms and Killer situation are different since one belong to a yonko crew who are known for having large sum crewmates and the othI'm not downplaying anyone. You just the one who's overhyping Pekoms and downplaying the Strawhats. Bounty don't mean anything anymore, one-shot Caribo don't mean anything, not having your fruit named don't mean anything. What I'm trying to explain to you here is, Oda is known for hyping characters then quickly shits on them just to hype another character.
And I already replied about the Sanji offscreen stuff.
Who are you to say those things don't mean anything?
Because if they truly didn't, Oda wouldn't even bother with them anymore.
He didn't have to give Pekoms a bounty, but he still did it. He didn't have to show Pekoms one-shotting Caribou, but he still did it. He didn't have to give Pekoms a DF, but he still did it. He could have revealed what exactly it was, but he didn't, for the sake of leaving us to guess.
Basically, he put a lot of thought into Pekoms. A character built like that is not going to be wasted.
This is not like the General Zombies, who weren't even named for the most part. Or Maynard and Bastille, who only had ranks to tell us how powerful they were.
I'm not trying to underestimate Sanji, but Pekoms was properly hyped as an opponent, unlike the above examples.
