@Mickamott:
Yeah I'd say it was 50/50 between Palutena and my Greninja. I really need to get practice time with him more often, I feel like he's untapped. You really gotta watch out for Shadow Sneak (even though those were the most satisfying kills for me), as that got you a bunch, especially from off the stage.
The ZSS WFT was an excellent match also, though with a dumb input malfunction suicide on my part.
It was also the first time I've ever faced a human controlled Rosalina, and it was pretty interesting trying to figure out how to go about it. I was glad I was able to two stock Roasalina as Little Mac, since I've spent most my time training with him to overcome his weaknesses and to learn how to play unorthodox with him as he is one of the most predictable characters in the game (a big part of me really wants to be Little Mac so I can overcome common counters against him). It helped once I realized Luma couldn't actually walk forward by herself, and tried to strategize around that.
You're definitely excellent all around, and a blast to play with! (though I still can't take Wii Fit Trainer seriously…)
Who do you think I'm best with? Since I honestly don't know and am still undecided towards my pick for the tourney.
Shadow sneak was actually something I wasn't too afraid of and could see coming a lot …. in the ground. When we were in the air I didn't expect it as much, and that got you some good comeback kills as a result xD
But yea, Palutena vs. Greninja is a pretty even match-up, I'd say, and in any stage.
Would definitely consider your Greninja the best you have, as it was the one you do a greater variety of things with which means less punishment. With Lucario and ZSS you fell into patterns I could notice quickly and punish accordingly even if they were fast and strong enough for me to fear nonetheless. With Lucario in particular you kind of got desperate with side B at one point and I was able to punish with reflect once I realized, hey, I can reflect this! Meanwhile, your Little Mac is good but not the best it could be, imo. You should play Ouroboros, I think he has the most satisfying Mac I've seen.
But Greninja, man, you got so creative and unexpected and whenever I threw something new at you you adapted and went around it. Great matches those, and complex until the end nearly all the time. It also felt like you were constantly learning as the matches went on. I would say you need to be careful with hydro pump and not weaponize it too much, since it did kill you once. It also wasn't going to gimp a character like Palutena who can deal with air time rather well. It does make me wonder the wonders it could do with other characters though xD
Such fun stuff, which I could use Greninja like that but I suck at him so bad, and ZSS as well. Something about characters that can jump high and fall fast just feels tough for me to use.
And yea, my weakness with RosaLuma is that sometimes I focus so much on Luma positioning and management that I neglect Rosalina herself, but then in the match against Greninja I started moving away from that a bit more given the pummeling I got from Mac. WFT and Rosalina are characters that until last night I hadn't used with people, and I'm pleased with the results so far, even though WFT always feels like such an uphill battle.
