That´s unfair.
Bleach got praised during the March Out the Zombies chapters. Sort off.
Naruto has nothing to praise lately, so yeah, that´s normal.

I praise sasuke for being the only one who still can think straight, when it comes to sakura at least. He himself said that he doesn't like her and has no idea why she would like him. I would want him to kill all those idiots and be the dictator of the world, cause it's not looking good if your future is having naruto as the leader. Sasuke is bad as well, but at least he probably has some idea what he wants to do, while naruto is just on his delusional friendship high.
Naruto has nothing to praise lately
it … might ... be getting close to ending, that's praise worthy (although when "The Last the movie" ... ??? ... was announced and it said, "and it is part of the larger "Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project" (Naruto's New Era Opening Project)" it's kinda got me a bit nervous)

Well, we can hope that this mysterious new project won't take the form of a manga, but I'll only believe that Naruto has really ended, once a whole year has passed, since the last chapter without any new stuff coming out. I simply can't trust Kishimoto: trusting him is like trusting a newborn's arse.
Before people call it baseless bashing…
Naruto Part 1 was absolutely AMAZING... But since part 2 or better said... Since the death of Itachi... The manga went downhill. Same as Sasuke's character went even more downhill.
What I dislike even more are the ridiculous powers Milli Vanilli have gotten? Where is the "ninja" theme? The last ninja like character is Kakashi with his strategies... But even this had to be destroyed with a bullshit power up... While the rest of the characters bar Milli Vanilli are mere shit... You know characters as Shikamaru, Neji, Gaara, Lee and Co.
And of coruse we shouldn't forgot the absolute freak show with all the Sharingans left and right, some zombies left and right and and and... Absolutely destroyed it for me
Ok, so, I've been told Naruto is ABOUT to end…. Is this accurate? Cuz I want to start reading it again and finish it up.
I stopped reading during the fight with Pain and never really looked back... does it get better at all? Or will I be reading it literally just to say I finished it?

There are a couple of good chapters here and there, but the series took a huge dive in quality from that point onwards.
And yes, it should be over in around 2 months if God is merciful.

Naruto COULD be about to end… but going through the infinite ninja war will be a real pain. I read it weekly, just because I am stubborn, but I wouldn't do it again, seriously: on the whole, I don't think it's worth the trouble, unless you really want to punish yourself.

All common sense and logic dictates that Naruto should be close to it's end (that is, about the end of this year, or very early next year). But Kishi could always pull some bullcrap on us.

It gets worse. You'll be reading it just for the sake of finishing it like the rest of us (and to see just how stupid Kishi's writing can get)
The thing with discussing Naruto and Bleach is not that I don't want to, but rather that I can't. The series have been so screwed with that its near impossible to build a good argument. You can't even trust the authors to keep to the rules and canon they created, so what is the point of building up a theory if the ground stones might be broken, ignored or switched at any point? Its especially jarring when you put those two in a forum dedicated to a manga which has an unsusual amounth of speculation and theories - a large part of the OP fandom REVOLVES around figuring out the countless mysteries of the world.
There is simply nothing left to care about in either series. And I really did love both Naruto and Bleach at a point, but neither series has lived up to expectations, instead going far, far below it. Pointing out how ridiculous it has gotten is litteraly the only thing I still enjoy from the series on a consistent basis, with the occasional good moment and chapter thrown in.
My only wish is that both series get a godawful translation on par with One Piece Mangapanda chapter 661. That way, I can genuinely laugh at the stupidity instead of just clicking my mouse twenty times in rapid succession feeling absolutely nothing.
I can't wait to see the world were both naruto and bleach have ended and all the fanboy talking about them has died down. Of course that means something else mediocore or worse will take it's place probably.

Where's the guy who originally translated Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4 when you need him?

Oh lawl, I just saw some of the DUWANG scans even though I haven't started Part 4. It makes Mangapanda's translations look GOOD in comparison, something I never imagined possible.

Wronger words have never been said
@Galaxy:
Shonen Jump recently began to release Jump online through their "Shonen Jump Plus" program. At the end of the latest issue, two bonuses were included as incentives to buy the issue (A colored One Piece chapter and a Naruto Art Collection, containing various art from the series' beginning to now).
Here's the Naruto art collection. It contains both good and bad memories of the series.

Thanks man!
Can you please upload the Naruto 693 colored by Shueisha in the issue 44-2014?
Naruto is fine but I will have NO DUWANG BASHING in this thread

Hmmm. Maybe I should get around to reading this DUWANG. Anyone know a spot to read it?
Pretty much everywhere

Look, Brandy Brendo ( u dont need to remember)
Look at your evil avatar. it looks very interesting… But you don't need to worry about it anymore.
But there is something more evil than that watch! IT'S YOUR FACE!
SHOW YOUR BITCH ASS!!!
will be my new pickup line.
Meh, I'm not really in the mood to start now. But it's either that or missing out on some crazy things. Sacrifices must be made for the greater good, it seems.
Duwang is basically canon now for english readers alongside the actual translation, so definitely put some time to it at some point
Thanks man!
Can you please upload the Naruto 693 colored by Shueisha in the issue 44-2014?
Sorry, but I'm only buying the magazine when One Piece (or another series I like) is in color. I can't justify paying for it with Naruto as the special feature.
Maybe if One Piece at least had a black and white chapter this week I would buy it, but it doesn't.
@Cyan:

I've never found duwang that special, but maybe that is because English is not my first language, I don't know if that is the cause or not.
There are two chapters of real Naruto on MangaStream: I don't know if they were already published, but in doubt it's alwas better to share…

Oh good, capitalizing on one of TenTen's three fakeNaruto established traits (besides being a weapons user and is a girl)
In 35 chapters Taira made Ten Ten a decent character Kishimoto couldn't make Sasuke in 700 chapters.
Now that's real Naruto for you.
With Asuma alive I was worried that RealNaruto was venturing into continuity error territory.
But I forgot that fakeNaruto is one giant continuity error while Taira has never led us astray
So can someone explain to me why most you dislike Naruto so much? Serious question. I've been rereading part 2 in anticipation of the upcoming fight and it all is pretty good, at least until the 4th ninja war. I only read it casually so maybe there's like big stuff missing in those earlier arcs that I didn't notice.
Too much to go into detail but basically it boils down to
-Completely rewriting previous themes
-The art and fight choreography becoming indecipherable at times
-An almost complete neglect of the secondary characters
-General plot dragginess
-The villains being basically fodderized and doing some incredibly stupid things
-Plot twist after plot twist after incredibly stupid plot twist concerning the main villains
-Terrible villain motivation for the main villains
They aren't even real bad villains, just Uchiha boys who want to make the world better with dumb over-the-top methods.
When I remember there was a time I hoped Kabuto will end up being the big bad of the series. And an awesome one at that… What was I smoking!?:wassat:
As it stands, the seven deadly sins of Masashi Kishimoto are these:
Theme Adultery
Retroactive Continuity Spread
Shrinking of the World
Art Degradation
Character Murder
Cast Nonusage
Uchiha Arrogance
I might be echoing Purple here. Then again, if there is anything Naruto teaches us, it is that you will not bring a point across until you have repeated it so much everyone else has gotten sick of it.

I won´t make the list because i would just be copying Purple and Silver, but for me, the capital mistake is:
"-Plot twist after plot twist after incredibly stupid plot twist concerning the main villains"
This with almost indecifrable powers (i still have no idea about wtf was going on with Madar´s powers and shadows or whatever) and "An almost complete neglect of the secondary characters" does it for me
Ok yeah I got all that, but my point was that most of those problems seem like they started coming up in the war arc. Like the theme was never giving up and surpassing your elders. I feel like that was still intact all the way through Kage Summit. Same for all those other issues. Except for the world shrinking. That died off pretty early haha My thing was that it seems like from your comments that most of you thought Naruto, or at least part 2 Naruto, was pretty bad as opposed to the thinking that the last arc was terrible and the rest good or decent.

I thought the consensus was that it started to get worse after the Pain arc?
Considering that this war arc makes a big amount of naruto at this point, there is no denying that the series as a whole can't be considered good. And even before the war arc, part 2 was starting to go downhill, and never reaching the highs of the first arcs.
The theme was "even an underdog with born with nothing special and even cursed and shunned can make his way into the big leagues." This was already being downsized with all the hints that Naruto was fourth hokage's kid and made absolutely certain with in the pain arc, with Jiraiya as his negligent Godfather.
Villains? The prime example to cite would probably be Kakuzu
Plot Twists? Started with Pain for the villains
Cast nonusage? Ironically, the war was where we got to see a smidge more of the secondary cast, but pretty much other than that time Shikamaru got his own arc, nobody else got any sort of appreciable spotlight. Even Sakura, one of the main characters, is pretty much completely useless except that time she fought in the sand country arc
Art degradation? Sure it became godawful in the past hundred chapters, but even before there's a very noticeable lack of effort in detail and shading compared to Part 1.
Uchiha nonsense? Ironically when Sasuke pretty much handles the only motivation he's ever had until this point and kills Itachi, and even during the fight Itachi's kinda hinting at how Madara's hanging out.
So if you really want to get into where Naruto got really bad, it was the Pain arc. Probably a bit before in the "Sasuke decides to kill everyone arc", but that leaves you with only a handful of arcs
-Sand Country arc? Alright, but not really that great
-Orochimaru arc? Good God that was awful. You got Sai, another addition to team 7 who quickly fades into obscurity and really isn't a great character
-Hidan/Kakuzu arc? Mediocre. The way Asuma's death was handled was incredibly anticlimactic with huge death flags being tripped everywhere, the Kakuzu fight was awful, Hidan's end was… okay I guess
-Sasuke throws a fit arc? We got Karin. That's already enough justification that the arc is awful beyond Sasuke and Itachi's continuous genjutsu fight. Deidara vs Sauce was alright though
So all in all, a downhill decline shortly before hitting the edge of the cliff and plummeting.
^ And in the end, the Final War arc pretty much shoves the worst of the worst into one big shit smoothie.
Worst plot progression,
worst butchering of the "theme" the story had going for it,
worst character development (including the once former big bad Orochimaru…wtf happened here?)
worst treatment of the secondary characters
worst action sequences
worst female moments
worst villain (or pretty much the blandest, but still...with all the goofiness Naruto could have offered, the bunny queen is so...freaking dreadful)
worst retcons/uchiha-shenanigans (love cancer, and Black Zetsu being Aizen)
so yeah...pretty much the "final war" just takes takes all the flaws of the serie and magnifies them a dozen fold.

The problem is, the War arc started on chapter 515.
Right now we are on chapter 693.
This means the War arc and everything after it (assuming some already consider the fight with Madara and onwards another arc) is around 25% of Naruto´s story.
25% of the story is pure crap. Obviously not counting other individual moments like Life no Jutsu.
Oh, and Chapter 515 was released in March 2010.
Also, everything starting going downhill since the Pain Arc. So you can add more to that number above.

I found it funny that you didn´t even mentioned Asuma.
I mean, Who?
Edit: I ment Yamato.
The guy is so bad i can´t even remember is name.

@Purple:

Yeah that guy.
If you are wondering, I had to use Wiki to remember it.
Neji: Hey Naruto how's it shaking. I'm kinda dead right now but I really learned a lot from that time you taught me how people can escape their own births and trappings and exceed what fate gave them.
Naruto: No problemo. Hey wanna see this trick I learned by being the reincarnation of one of the two incredibly superpowered sons of one of the legendary figures in Ninja history and being the son of the fourth hokage and an extinct clan who used incredibly powerful techniques?
No, no, no, you got it all wrong Purple. You see, he was destined to be great through hard work, but it's not the same! There's a difference between being born a winner, and being born a loser who is destined to become a winner by working against all odds!
Kishimoto: "Do you remember that bird allegory from Part 1? Well I'm going to use it right now as a callback for everyone who's been following the series to show how Neji became free in his death! What do you mean that wasn't the point of the symbolism?"

All right, I'll break it down for you then:
Sasori Arc:
-Not a terrible arc, but they defeated an Akatsuki member too soon. The Akatsuki are supposed to be these elite-tier ninja that even the Kages have trouble with, but then Sakura (a chunin) and some old lady we don't really care about beats one.
-Also, Team Lee tags along and doesn't do anything.
Sai Arc:
-Really boring and meandering arc that rescinded a potentially interesting plot twist (Kabuto is really an Akatsuki spy). The only point was for them to meet Sasuke again and introduce Sai and Yamato who are really boring characters and didn't even do much after this arc anyway.
Hidan/Kakuzu Arc:
-Probably the best arc of Part 2, but it's still only decent at best
-Asuma's death was just so weird and random considering he was pretty much left to the sidelines up to that point.
-In retrospect, did seriously no one teach Naruto about chakra elements until then? That wasn't covered in Jiraiya's three-year-training program? For that matter, what the hell DID he teach him?
-Naruto beats an Akatsuki through some dumb basic ninja diversion.
-Shikamaru at least does something, but everyone else is useless.
Team Snake/Sasuke/Itachi/Deidara/What-the-fuck-ever Arc:
-I hesitate to even to call this an arc as it's really just a series of random events and encountered that have no real cohesion or narrative structure to them. Sasuke "kills" Orochimaru out of nowhere, then he gathers a team for no reason, then he has a random fight with Deidara, and then he has his climactic fight Itachi which had no build up to it.
-For that matter, the Sasuke/Itachi fight was stupid as hell. Way too many stupid genjutsu cop-outs, confusing and messy art and the dumb Orochimaru surprise.
-The way Sasuke survived Deidara's blast is the biggest, dumbest, most logic-defying cop-out ever.
-The reveal that Itachi was actually a good guy the whole time is just asinine
-Karin is the worst female character ever
-Team Kiba tags along and doesn't do anything.
Pain Arc:
-The Jiraiya/Pain stuff is fairly good, I guess, but the rest is garbage.
-The Rinnegan is the most bullshit eye power ever and makes no friggin sense.
-Pain/Nagato's backstory is stupid and hokey as hell
-Complete missed opportunity for other characters to fight the Pain bodies. But nope, Naruto has to do everything himself.
-Speaking of, this arc is the dawn of Naruto Jesus
-Hey guys! Remember Naruto gave that emotional speech to Neji about how you don't have to be born from greatness in order to be great? Fuck that! Naruto's the son of the 4th Hokage now!
-And, of course, the whole battle has no consequences as everyone is brought back to life and the village is fixed in, like, a day.
Gokage Summit Arc:
-Fucking atrocious arc from beginning to end
-Sakura receives the worst characterization ever. She lies to and deceives her friends, lies about her feelings to Naruto, and ultimately has be saved having accomplished nothing and just being a hindrance for the whole arc.
-Naruto hyperventilates when faced with the possibility that Sasuke may be evil. Our fucking hero.
-Boring stupid ninja politics that ultimately serves no purpose
-Danzo puts Sharingans in his arms. And it works. Just…what even is that?
-What was the point of those random cloud ninjas? They didn't do anything.
-Okay, actually Raikage and Killer Bee are the only saving grace of this arc, but that's the only nice thing I can say about it.
War Arc:
-Agonizingly long. Seriously, worst pacing in the entire manga.
-There are too many stupid moments to name, so I won't even try.
-Obito is a terrible final villain
-Madara is an even worse final villain
-Kaguya is an even more worse final villain
Also
-The art for Part 2 ranges from dull to ugly to confusing
-Naruto's Sasuke obsession/mancrush is stupid and makes fuck-all sense
-The world-building of the series is awful. I know nothing about how the world at large works or how the different countries relate to each other and why.
@Purple:
Kishimoto: "Do you remember that bird allegory from Part 1? Well I'm going to use it right now as a callback for everyone who's been following the series to show how Neji became free in his death! What do you mean that wasn't the point of the symbolism?"
