Only thing I'm disappointed in is stages. They look bare and hardly any. I'm hoping there is more to that because the stage choice is small and lots of returning compared to new :/.
The good stages were anounced during development, most of the unknown are just the returning. Check the full list, compare what's known vs what's reused and what's unknown.

Eh, Lucina the Doc and Pitoo are just alt costumes that gained a slot late in development.
Bowser junior is meh, but if he comes with the whole koopa klan, I'm more than ok with him.
I'm excited about shulk, but seemed too "link meets marth" in the video, so I hope that he gets something cool in his moveset.
No coments about the worst named newcomer, but I loved it's game.
Only big dissapointment is lack of Ice Climbers. I'm sad about Lucas as well.

It looks like Shulk will be a mode change character able to change his properties with his standard B (That's what the kanji thing is for)

Well, this is definitely more substantial than the pics. Unlike the pics where the defense is flaky, it would take a considerable amount of effort to generate this video and bowser jr's move set (although shulk looks like a mix of link and Marth)

So Mii is flat-out not present on the character select screen then? That's one thing I don't get. Also would be really disappointed if Ness is the only Mother Series character. The main thing that worries me overall, other than roster choices, is that clones still seem extremely clone-y. Even Shulk seems like a clone.

I think I'd prefer literally any character from the DK universe over Dixie. And meh Metwo… Rhythm Heaven rep is the only thing even remotely interesting if this is true.
Well, since they're customizable and based off miis you create, with varying stats and weapons…. its possible theres a separate screen so you can create like 40 of them or something.
You would think there are at least defaults, and that maybe you can stick your custom configs into the alt costumes on the CSS. But there would have to be a button somewhere on the character select screen to do that still.

So I was right to believe that the leak was real. It's a great news for me.
We're getting a 49 (maybe 52 ?) character roster (51 if you count the Mii fighter types as seperate characters).
I remember making a 49-character roster (with clones) and calling it unrealistic. So, it exceeded my expectations.I'm really happy that Shulk is playable. I've just finished Xenoblade recently and it became my favorite console RPG. Shulk is a great MC.
As for Ganondorf staying the same, if at the very least his Neutral B can be customized as a projectile I will be satisfied. Him getting a projectile is far more important to me than him using his sword.
Speaking about him having a projectile, it would be great if Falcon gets one as well (it would be like Usopp's Firebird Star !!!
)
Pittoo getting in doesn't bother me at all. He was probably the easiest character to make and I'd rather have him with small changes and his own slot that being an alternate to Pit. Plus, I liked him in KI:U. I'll probably pick him more often than Pit.
Bowser Jr is an interesting choice. Having all the Koopalings as alternates, if it's true, is awesome.
Really interesting to see how Duck Hunt plays. I'm guessing it will be like WFT and the Miis where Sakurai will convince me of his choice.
As for the Miis not being on the CSS, I'm guessing they only appear when customization is turned on.If the text leak is right, I'm guessing Dixie is in (as a semi-clone ?) and Mewtwo is back which would awesome. Don't really want to speculate about the 3rd one but the Chorus Kids are still in my mind.
It's a shame that Isaac most likely won't be playable. Golden Sun is still my favorite handled RPG to this day.
If we ever get DLC (which I doubt), he will be by far my "most wanted" pick. The cuts returning or any other character would be a bonus. -

Couple things
There was a leak in July which detailed Bowser Jrs movesets exactly.
Same leaker stated Dark Pit, Duck Hunt Dog, Shulk, and Doctor Mario would be in the game.
New leak photos verify this same leak's claim that Bowser Jr' alts will be the 7 Koopalings (Larry Koopa trophy riding in Bowser Jrs clown copter is pictured)
Same leak says that Dixie Kong, Ridley, Mewtwo, and Rhythm Heaven Chorus Men are in the game.
This leaves space for one more character on the roster. This leak is very likely to be true, corroborated by the details about Bowser Jr.

Taking it as fact, I think I can get over everything other than the cutting of Mother series rep count, and lack of another good villain (unless the Ridley thing is true but I somehow doubt it). Bad clones would also be disappointing but that's not a roster issue as much of a design choice issue. I don't know how I feel about DLC but if they do implement it, they sure as hell better bring back Lucas and possibly more villains.

Just as it was several other leaks that have had part of the Ginal roster. Just because this one Only mentions Dixie an Mewtwo doesn't invalidate the previous leaks which also mention Ridley. Apparently no one knows the final roster. One claims to have seen Ice Vlimbers even but no others have corroborated this.

Oh no attack of the differing opinions. Lucas is better than Ness to begin with, but yes as a huge fan of the series it hurts to see the rep count drop. It got tons of love in Brawl which makes it even harder to get a downgrade. Almost any protagonist or major villain from the series would fit in really well.
And sorry I can't count a Pit clone as a villain addition.
