do you use illegal sites to read it..?
Like 95% of the people here, yes I do at first, then read the volumes. Your point is??? And even tho illegal, one piece had some great translations for a while, that's why I was asking if hxh had some too.
Thanks for the queerish answer anyways, you sound salty as f***

Well, yeah. Pretty much anything's better than the HxH world. Even utter nothingness.

Careful, you don't want to admit it online, cops might come banging at your door any minute now.

Pokkle: Well, I may have died a horrific death, but on the upshot, this new place can't get any worse than the land of man-eating bug monsters. Ooh, that's an interesting rock. Looks like a face got jumbled in it or something. Maybe it's a sign of luck! I'll keep it with me as a symbol of my grand new adventure. Everything's coming up Pokkle!

All this time her hat was a giant yellow behilit. Does that mean she's destined to become even more powerful than a God Hand and become a God Arm?

Nope, she's dead man.

Even higher. She gets to be a god nose

What episode should Leorio's speech be in?
-
Yeah, Madhouse should certainly take the Ippo approach and go with the new season once there's enough material. It's too bad that it will take a long time, but in the end I'd much prefer perfectly adapted episodes while waiting years than what has become of the One Piece anime.
As for the manga I'm loving it. Over the recent chapters I've begun to think that, contrary to my previous ideas, the "Dark Continent" arc isn't just going to be the adventures on the DC. It will include several phases each consisting of own arcs which make up the DC saga if you will. The setup, the ride, the faux new continent, and DC itself will all have a myriad of plots/subplots taking place along the entire trip (princes, Kurapika, Beyond, Ging/Pariston, Zodiacs, exploration itself, and any other contingency).
Prior to the reserialization I had pictured this arc's beginning similar to the Ant's, where the plot is thrust into the DC (NGL) almost immediately, and that that's where all the action would take place. I can see now that's simply not the case with these nine chapters alone, and what with all the setup Togashi is taking his precious time with, he definitely has things planned throughout the entire journey.
TLDR, I'm excited for the payoff from all this setup of these plots/subplots over the DC journey.
Now just get the Spiders involved and we'll be set.

Also, the behelit is one gloriously grotesque design. I love that thing.
-
There's not enough material to work with even with a filler arc.
Madhouse could do a Filler Arc about the Ryodan or Ging, I wont mind those..
-
Madhouse could do a Filler Arc about the Ryodan or Ging, I wont mind those..
I'd argue that that's actually bad subject matter for a filler arc, especially if the movies are any indicator of how Madhouse handles Togashi's characters with an original story. If anything I'd like something as unrelated to the characters/story of Hunter x Hunter as possible. Though it would be cool if they could do those characters justice, I just don't have faith enough in them to do so and do so well.
Just my preference though, and that's if they'll actually make a filler arc - which they won't.
-
there is no release this week too bad

Welp, can't say we didn't see this coming http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/08/16/hunter-x-hunter-anime-production-wraps-up
I think this a good decision, but I am gonna miss this. -

I can't smile again… because you just go away...
-
I can't wait for the first 26 episodes of "HxH Darc Continent" in 2017.
-
Its sad to see it go but it was a good run and it got a lot of new people into the series including myself. Togashi is really amazing at this point because not only is he a great writer his works gave way to two of the greatest anime adaptations ever. YYH and HxH 2011.
I guess I'll just have to find another weekly anime series to fill the void though. At least parasyte (the series taking its timeslot) looks good though.
-
One of my biggest manga dreams is still Togashi rewriting the last YYH ending and giving it proper closure after he finished HxH.

Add Gundam Build Fighters to the mix if you like mecha. Or Start nanatsu no Taizai. it's not as good as HxH and has A-1 animating it but it's pretty good for an action/adventure Shounen.

Will do. Thanks.

The anime fixes it by going through the whole thing but the manga ends the final climatic battle in the middle of the first punch and time skips to later where Yusuke just tells everyone what happened. The anime shows you the fight and you see what the aftermath of the battle was live instead of it just being told.
Also a character that dies of old age stays alive in the anime. And the anime wraps up everything in 1 episode instead of 5 side story chapters.
Also there's a twist that changes the context of ALL of Yusuke's adventures and you'll either love it or hate it and the anime just decided to do without it and probably for the better.

I know this is your opinion and all but something about that sentence just made me laugh so hard ….......... Hmmmm wonder why that is .............

Baiting out an argument is a pretty shitty thing to do.

Anime is gonna go on a multiyear hiatus following in the footsteps of its creator

Thank you Black Leg
What is it, again?
! King Enma was responsible for the events of essentially the entire series and the demons weren't evil and mostly prayed childish pranks on humans until he brain washed them into killing humans which Koenma gets him arrested for in the last chapters.
-

Not really "baiting" . Just doing what forums are made for like you know expressing what i felt about something ( in this case someone's comment ) .
-
Yeeeeeah, we already know you aren't Togashi's biggest fan.

He said great writer. Not great at drawing. How is that funny ?
Or do you think that he is a bad writer ? -

Not necessarily bad but certainly not great at least in my opinion .
I want to see you write two best selling manga with two beloved anime adaptations before even hitting 50 to be honest and still have time to get married and have kids.
I genuinely want to see you do better if he's such a bad writer and make a better shonen series. Can you?
-

Glad someone has the guts to say something like this.
Lately, anyone who criticizes the series gets attacked by the bandwagoners.
It's been put on a pedestal and hailed as the greatest thing this century when it actually does have its problems.
@Fuka-chan~:I genuinely want to see you do better if he's such a bad writer and make a better shonen series. Can you?
He doesn't have to create a series to voice an opinion and judge something.
and still have time to get married and have kids.
That's funny because Togashi has been incredibly lazy with the production of his series. He has had the most free time out of all of the current mangaka.
-

So i need to be as good as the writer if i want to criticize him ? LOL what kind of retarded logic is that ? Of course i can't write better but does that change the fact that Togashi isn't that good of a storyteller ? And Sales , age and commercial success have nothing to do with author's overall writing skills . I would even argue that HXH , like Bleach , has become target of it's own success and that it's gotten lazy throughout the years . The first 120 chapters of the series are still the best and most enjoyable parts in the entire series .
-

I don't think that I can agree with your bolded statement, here. You really think that sales and commercial success have nothing to do with the quality of the work and/or the skill of the artist?

….............Yea?..
So, you think that a qualitatively "better" product will not naturally attract more fans? That seems a little wacky to me.
Sure, popular success is influenced by a lot of things, but to say that it isn't influenced at all by the skill of the creator is just weird.

Hiro Mashima says hi .
Note i am purely talking about storytelling skills , not drawing or other stuff .
-
It's kind of hard to respect your argument when you reply like that.
Isn't that the author of Fairy Tail? I don't read that manga. From what I can see, though, at least the art is nice to look at. Maybe all of the success that he gets has something to do with his other skills (not just writing).
All I'm arguing against is your original statement, where you said that popular success is not influenced at all by the skill of the writer. I'm saying that it most surely is, but there are definitely many other factors involved as well.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Bottom line, a lot of the fans here think that Togashi is a pretty good writer, despite having some significant flaws. Myself included.

What the hell are you talking about ? I clearly stated that i was talking about author overall writing skills not drawing or anything like that .

Let's not forget that we also have Naruto up there in best selling manga these days as well. On the other hand though, Dragonball and One Piece.
Not that I support an argument that involves "Yeah well let's see you do the same thing he does!" in order to criticize something.
It's been put on a pedestal and hailed as the greatest thing this century when it actually does have its problems.
Let's not forget how critical we get in this thread either, but I'd say people on this forum do a good job recognizing its flaws for what they are and praising it for what it does right.
-
I replied before you edited, Revolver, so I didn't see that. Still doesn't change how crazy your original statement sounds, which is what I've been arguing against the entire time. Re-quoted for convenience:
And Sales , age and commercial success have nothing to do with author's overall writing skills .
