Given that this guy also transforms into a giant pig/boar depending on continuity his use of weapons is kind of overcompensating for his already powerful strength and magic usage.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

Something has been bothering me, aparently the plot is that an "evil" was broken into 4 pieces, and these pieces were sent to the 3 "adult link" games, while the 4th stayed in this continuity, corrupted Cia and it's trying to piece itself back together.
Whenever "evil" is concerned in Zelda, it's ussualy Ganondorf, but it seems that he's this game third faction, with Zant and Giharim on tow, so, what could this evil be?

Near the end the true villain will be revealed to be cd-i Link, who is the true face of evil.

…Link, Zelda, Sheik, Impa, Midna, Agitha, Fi, Ruto, Darunia, Lana, Ganondorf, Zant, Ghirahim....plus those three badguys created for the game?
To be honest, I was expecting/wanting some more buut....yeah, you're right. For a first Zelda-style Musou, the roster has all the big names (and then some)
Plus the fact that some characters seem to change almost entirely based on their weapon. Link with sword is a different character from Link with chain, which is a different character from Link with Fairy. It's a pretty significant change in playstyle and movesets. Even if its the same base model, it should count as another character.
And hey, basara gets by on rosters of 10-20 by making everyone unique, and they're great.
They aren't playable, at least for now. DLC is confirmed so probably later.

Tbh, the game is really fun…the Zelda touch really helped.
