Naruto and Bleach V - The Not-So-Final Frontier

Now with Kakashi gaining this huge powerup, I would expect Sakura to become stronger than the Gokage. Kishi is now the king of trolls, sorry Kubo.
-
-
Could these puns get any cornea
-
Kakashi's pupils were really surprised at the sight of his new ability.
-
I'd tell you guys to put a lid on the puns, but I like what I'm seeing.
-
Seriously though, as much as it's cool to see Kakashi being able to pawn again, I think he should keep an eye out for a back lash from using Susanoo. Maybe Obito's chakra will help him cataract the bad effects.
-
I'm of two minds of what's going on in Naruto and Bleach. You could say I have haterochromia!
…I'll show myself out
-
Err, don't you think you overdid it with these puns?
You should know when it's time to stop, seriously.
End it, just end it! -
I don't see what you're talking about.
-
As long as we haven't lost sight of the original topic, Kakashi's eyeball magic, I think we should just turn a blind eye to the puns.

Let's see what happens.

@Daz:
Lets see
- Ichigos true true TRUE powers revealed = Insultingly, nonsensically bad
- Soifon and hitsu gets bailed out by Urahara lolscience = pointlessly, time-wastingly bad
- Komamura wolfs down his dignity = hilariously bad
- Mask de Masculine fodderizes underdeveloped shinigami = amusingly bad
- Mask is fodderized by Renji = Dissapointingly bad
- Bach has nonsense backstory = WTF bad
- Rukias pity-win and lame bankai vs Assnuts = infuriatingly bad
- Yachiru gets a fight but its againts an imaginary Quincy, and her bones turn into cookies = Whiplashingly bad
- Kenpachi fights the brain of Rusty Rose from fairy tail = badly bad
- Ichigo faces a quartet of girls, now has the power of DOUBLE genericness = boringly bad
- Ichigo was in the palm of Bachs hand = Par for the course bad
- Last few weeks = somehow not that bad
Mostly its been just boringly bad, with only occasional peaks of Kubo genius.
A bit late, but how would you describe the whole zombie trap semen line?

All of us here saw it as a stupid joke that went nowhere. There were people who thought it meant way for than it actually did.

It was a metaphor, guys. Kubo was just trying to demonstrate that no matter how we disguise our true nature, there will always be a dead giveaway that reveals us for what we actually are and that if we continue to live in this delusion then we end up something similar to the undead. There will always be a hint that may or may not be known to us.

After opening the first real spoiler tag there's no way in hell I'm reading that beyond his or her want of sounding really smart with superficial qualities.
And on top of that, Like fuck, how long would it take to write a review that long out?

I was able to read it for once because that's actually short for that person. This person does this for every Bleach chapter, but thankfully doesn't do anything for Naruto. This one at least talks about the Manga only. There have been times the person talks about various myths and how they apply to Bleach. I think one time the person said Juhabach is Heracles from Greek mythology.

Well, I suppose that sounds on par for Bleach fanatics. In truth this is probably short for anything on Bleach Asylum.
This person does this for every Bleach chapter, but thankfully doesn't do anything for Naruto.
I copy pasted this and, times new roman 12 pt font, it's 5 pages long.
HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY WRITE 5+ PAGE ESSAYS ON A SINGLE CHAPTER EVERY WEEK?

I can see that, in the same way that the Soul King to me is analagous to a turd.

It would basically be like if I tried to make it sound like if last weeks chapter of One Piece had a deep meaning with that one fight everybody was up in arms about. I actually did that jokingly, and funnily enough, it sounded exactly like something that poster would come up with. I don't go to bleach asylum, I've heard stuff about it, and when looking at the old Bleach threads here, I saw some of the stuff that people did in that site. I usually just go to One Manga, find this one post, skim it (if I can even do that), and wonder how one can type that much for a chapter that was basically about everyone getting stabbed.

All characters of Bleach are the antithesis of Descartes. They do, therefore they aren't. Kubo is not a fan of Descartes, therefore he's deep.

wow i just read t and we were so dumb kubo is a writer who uses classical zombies not the zombies from today who are simply revived corpses but zombies out of living people and furthermore it makes so much sense that both this bombgirl and hitsugaya have now a darker skintone opposed to the fodder-shinigame, because hitsugaya was healed to become a zombie and the bombgirl was killed :ninja:

That's one of the things that gets me about what this person writes about. Okay, so it shows signs of different types of Zombie lore, and takes various small things and tries to make it seem like it was part of a big picture. Major problem is that most of the stuff doesn't add to the story, and a lot of stuff is conjecture which either makes no sense when you think about it, or is really baseless. Best part was that Mayuri had some sense of morals, aka don't experiment on people without permission. I'm sure the shinigami that were blown up gave their consent. Mayuri is the most inconsistent character, but also the best character of this series at this point.

I have an idea. I wanted to learn about various religions, so I typed in Hinduism and went to the BBC site that gave lots of information about the religion. It gives lots of quick synopsis of different things, which I could easily be like "This one piece of information fits exactly like one other piece of information in this piece of fiction, so it must be related, despite the fact that it's superficial at best." Actually, I think Kubo doesn't like Hindus. According to their rules of war, you should not attack from behind. In Bleach they attack people from behind all the time, therefore, Kubo hates Hindus. See, I can do it as well.

This person could just be big into mythologies, and also a huge enough fan of Bleach to read all the chapters over and over again to take details and try to fit them with various mythologies. I'm fine with most people who like Bleach, but when they try to make it deeper than it seems, that's when I have problems. For things to have meaning, it also has to have importance to the story. Example, it's less of a stretch to say that Otohime and Fisher Tiger are like MLK and Malcolm X respectively, and I can list reasons why. It makes sense to a degree, but it also doesn't add to the story. When this person is talking about the various zombies, that's all well and good, but it doesn't have a greater point, doesn't add depth, and is just taking various things to fit mythologies to make it seem like there is some kind of point.

Yes, even assuming that stuff is meant to be metaphoric and referential to various mythologies, legends or bible and stuff, how would any of that make the manga any better or deeper? Like if that two-headed eagle actually meant something, what would it change? Kubo referenced some stuff on a random colourspread? So fucking what?

maybe this person can't bear the thought that bleach, what he seems to love, is not nearly as good as it used to be in the beginning so he tries to find in this mess the deeper meaning to keep enjoying it?
-
Kubo: Puts 5 pages of content onto 20 "airy" pages of manga.

I don't know, and frankly, I would rather not find out. My only other guess is that they are just such big fans that they feel that they have to dig in everything to find any hidden meaning. This is probably brought out by the fact that Kubo made those level of secret things, so they go Lost on that and try to connect anything and everything.

Exactly. Even if I give the benefit of a doubt that Kubo decided to show the various differences of Zombie mythologies through subtle means, that doesn't change the fact that the story and characters suck, and I still don't know why I should want the Shinigami to win, or the Sternritter to lose. I'm partially convinced that we are supposed to be rooting for the Sternritter, cause at least they get stuff done.@loledinmypants:

That's the best part, Kubo can do nothing, and the fans will put in all the effort to make it seem deep. It's basically a bunch of drawings that people can come up with their own story. Kubo could have an entire chapter of Ichigo taking a dump, and that fan will talk about how Kubo really captured the human condition, and that unlike whenever everybody else takes a crap, Ichigo's crap shows true depth. What the rest of us see, Kubo's crap makes money.

Only Shinigami to die (Old man, Sasakibe, and Unohana apparently). Sternritter that have died (Mask, Fear person, 3 random fodder by Kenpachi, Opie, Bambi, Gremmy, 1HKO by Ichigo guy, Overpower gut, Kang Du, and Robot guy). I'd like to retract my statement of getting things done partially. A number of them have died, but they at least killed the Old Man, and have made it to the Royal Realm. They are sadly, the most successful ones so far.

i seem to remember that gremmy killed these two vizard captains and kenpachi seems to be down for the count and hitsugaya is a zombie so that makes 6 captains down and and 12 sternritter

If we are going with those down for the count, not necessarily dead, then we can add Soi Fon and Fox Captain as well. Even then, the Shinigami side has so much more to bring to the table that hasn't been used, not even counting the captains or royal realm. Grimmjow, Full Bringers, Ganju, Yoroichi, Urahara, Isshin, Ishida's Dad, other arrancar. Sternritter are screwed but don't worry, Juhabach will become uber powerful after all the sternritter die, and Chad and Orohime will still do nothing.

Kubo is the manga world's best "choose-your-own-adventure" mangaka.
I wonder how much time he actually spends on the chapter each week vs doing other things I imagine Kubo would do like coming up with more poetry for his furniture. And I really almost want to see an interview with one of his assistants more than anything because wtf do they even do? Kubo said they do backgrounds, but that's like a few lines here, and ink splash there, maybe a generic building once in a while… What do they do the rest of the time? Kubo's assistants - mysterious and magical beings one rarely sees or hears of, like magical manga leprechauns hiding Bleach's pot of backgrounds at the end of the rainbow...

I lolled so hard reading the last part in Morgan Freemans voice. I think most of us wouldn't mind the lack of backgrounds if the story was great, and the fact that Oda can still draw backgrounds and have a good story as well. I imagine that if they try to interview an assistant, there will be either a gun to their head, or fear of being attacked from behind. My guess is that the people writing the 20+ paragraphs every week are the assistants. :ninja:@Admiral:

There is that. Also people blatantly taking one persons post and mixing it up to make it much funnier than the original post. Mostly though, we waste time complaining about Bleach and Naruto, and then talk at lengths about better stuff, which in this forums case is One Piece, since the rest of the good ones don't have that many threads. Most are lucky to even be in part 2

But a five page essay worth of stuff every week? Maybe as casual banter between each other but not in just one lump sum payment

Oh, I agree with that. I would only be able to get to that length when covering a full arc, or part as in JoJo's case. This person doesn't seem to get that less is more usually when talking about stuff. If this person was just like "The differences in how the zombified shinigami look like show different signs of various zombie mythology." It's short and simple, and then you can expand on it if people want to. Doing 2 pages worth talking about it just detracts from the actual discussion of the chapter. It doesn't help that most people on that forum just agree and move on.

You're the only one up to the task, and like you said, you aren't going to type 5 pages worth of content every chapter.
GodAizen help us…When were you under the impression that Aizen wasn't the one typing all that up, as he forces Kubo to make terrible work and he looks good by putting all this random stuff together? It's all Aizen, and it always has been.
