No raws yet? (Chinese scans are NOT raws)
@Medical:
Rolling Logan, Jean Ango, Acilia, the lion, Mummy, and Damask also aren't there.
Edit: Also the Funk Brothers.I could see some of those (namely Jean Ango and the Funk Brothers) going after the bounties.
yeah you are right but i was only able to remember meadows for the known reasons
Law doesn't know it yet but there is no way Luffy is going to part with the Heart pirates anytime soon even though Luffy doesn't want all the help from the Coloseum fighters.
I imagine those two pages

Nakama means friend, so basically it is not translated at all. And no, it has nothing to do about being in his crew if that's what you thought.

Luffy has gag'ed asked quite a few people in teh series. Also a serious asking was denied by at least the guy stuck in the treasure chest back in east blue
Nakama means friend, so basically it is not translated at all. And no, it has nothing to do about being in his crew if that's what you thought.
But doesn't Luffy use another word for friend when he talks about people outside his crew?

If he had said he's my nakama, it could be about being friend. But he said he is going to be my nakama, so yeah, it's about the crew. And they usually only use the word nakama on this translations when talking about crewmates.
But doesn't Luffy use another word for friend when he talks about people outside his crew?
I have no idea if he does, or what other word that might be. I only know nakama means friend/special pal etc. But it may be possible.

all depends by the tense of the verb in the original…if it's present, then he is just saying that he is his friend, but if luffy is using the future,it wouldn't make much sense to say that someone will become his friend,he either is or is not.
that being said ,it's just a gag,no way law will become a mugiwara,he already has his own crew

Fair enough, they did translate it to "going to be", and that may or may not be a wrong translation. I believe panda wrote "he is", and they went with friend, not nakama.
And I don't think translator can distinguish between nakama (when talking about a friend) and nakama (when talking about a crewpal).
In all honesty I could be wrong but I interpret it this way.

Yeah, I agree with that. So, in response to the guy I quoted, it may very well have been a mistranslation regarding about future or present.
I think that Luffy will call his major allies Nakama still, but Law won't join as under Luffy's ship. Don't really see the big deal of that statement, it applies well to a character that's obviously going to keep their own pirate crew, but follow Luffy.
I can remember that luffy used the word tomodachi to claim fukaboshi as a friend.
All this makes me remember Impel Down. Why isn't Agyo joining the party too?
No shit Law is not joining I was joking Haha but it does seem like Luffy is asking him out of nowhere.
His crew he calls "nakama"
Mr2 he calls "tomodashi"
Luffy asked Ace to be his nakama to, and Ace said no…....Just like in this instance where he refers to Law being/ is going to be his nakama, and Law refuses.....Nakama may mean different things in different situations, but in this case, he was implying Law would be a future crew member...
God USSOP lol .. I'm just wondering how's Yassop reactions gonna be when he see it in the news some days later :P
AMAZING chapter! Glad to see Bully!! EMOTIONAL!
Light king punch is great too … that explains that he can still use his power whenever he wants.. he called it (LIGHT) and it destroyed peeka's hand.
too much things to tell and discuss..
we have 15 members in luffy's armada,10 members of the dofla family still in shape to fight + fodders, plus 6 other people in the colosseum (robin, sabo, koala, hack, barto, rebecca),an admiral and 2 vice admirals trying to get luffy and law + marine fodders, plus viola, king riku and kyros wondering around the island,PLUS some other guys we don't know what side they are on,like the guys from the colosseum that are not in luffy's armada , jesus burgess and bellamy..last but not least kin'emon and probably kanjurou
did i forgot someone?
anyway, that's an incredible mess of characters…i wonder how oda is gonna manage that.

BTW, I was not saying their translations is the correct one (it's MS lol), just that they tend to use the therm nakama for crewmates.

Luffy and Doffy combine their Conqueror's haki and knock everyone else out, leaving them to fight, stripped to the waist…to the death.
Mangastream translated Elizabello's punch as "Right Version" instead of "Light Version", lel.
Dafuq!?
I mean.. for real!? =)))

I think that being a fleet leader/major ally constitutes as a nakama, just not as a crew member.

It better be nice and slow. The majority of these characters need massive fighting screen time. Half of them can fight fodder, but need big panels and fun movesets. We went through the last 2 arcs with many of the fights offscreened. I didn't mind it then because it was all leading to this, but all of dofla's crew (including the ones beat down, look at the colosseum fighters), Ussop, Robin, etc etc etc need good fighting screen time. The story for once can wait!!!

Which makes it even more stupid since he's using his left arm. Sasuga Slangstream.
I loved this chapter. We really needed something like this after all the drama and blabla. Frankly, I got somewhat annoyed by Dressrosa's tragic story and wanted to see a bit of the adventure part happening. Exploring we can basically forget about already, but at least give us a fun and simply crazy OP-like chapter. Which Oda did this week.
Where is Meadows (Kaido)
Is he going to help Doffy? :ninja:

he simply teared apart the birdcage and sailed to get the onepiece
The Gladiators are essentially Dressrosa's version of the Galley-La.
I think that being a fleet leader/major ally constitutes as a nakama, just not as a crew member.
That would imply that Ace refused to be Luffy's ally then, which would make about as much sense as Dragon giving up being the leader of the Revolutionaries to open up a Taco stand on Punk Hazard….

I took it more as the Dressrosan version of the Impel Down Breakout team.

No, no, no! This is like Skypiea! Doflamingo is basically Enel!
Now next person say it's like Alabasta.
No but in all seriousness, I agree that it does remind one of the breakout team from Impel Down.
liked the chapter law's reactions to everything included
No, no, no! This is like Skypiea! Doflamingo is basically Enel!

Ofc it's like Alabasta Croc=Mingo I mean Mingo's nakama=officer agents etc. and the rebels vs kingdom=former puppets vs mingo's kingdom army and some exututive officers etc. ;)

No, he would bea subordinate of Luffy's still, he just wouldn't be part of the crew. The new world pirates all have subordinate crews that aren't part of the main ship. But in that case, Luffy was definitely asking Ace to join his actual crew.
The point I'm trying to make is Luffy is expanding his definition of nakama to "someone who is on my ship" to "my friend who is my subordinate"
This is probably the weirdest team-up we've had in One Piece since Impel Down. lol
Imagine it…. Don Chinjao, Cavendish, Elizabello, Abdullah, Jeet, Suleiman, Ideo, Boo, Sai, etc. VS Pica.
It's like the Straw Hat Crew vs Oars TIMES 10!
This chapter was good solely on the fact that all this fun characters came back to the spotlight. Anyone who thought these guys were just "irrelevant fodder" need to take a seat in the corner.
Law needs to be cuffed for the remainder of this arc, honestly. His powers make it too easy for him to get up to the factory (and alone if he's been freed) to go and do something stupid because he doesn't want help. Keeping him at Luffy's mercy means he has no choice but to rely on them and learn something.
Poor guy.

Luffy isn't going to have some type of Pirate Fleet with Division commanders like Whitebeard and Blackbeard….Luffy stated from the beginning of there series, there will only be 10 members, excluding himself....Meaning there will only be 11 members of the Straw Hat pirates....If he "allies" with someone that's what it is, being allies, it won't make them his underlings. They will just become someone Luffy can count on when he needs them.
Am I the only one who gets a kick of Cavendish's intention of going Hakuba on Doffy and everyone else?

It's already implied that Blackbeard has a Fleet like Whitebeard, as Jesus Burgess was introduced during the tournament as his "1st Division Commander"
Loved this chapter. The hectic, action-and-talk-and-dramatic heavy chapters are fun too, but you need to break them up every once in a while in order to not overwhelm the readers, so this was excellent. Loved seeing all the interaction between the characters and them just being themselves and arguing. The coliseum fighters returning to repay their debt (Abdullah and Jeet were especially surprising), Law slowly loosing his sanity, Light King Punch, Teamups…
Now the question is what the remaining coliseum fighters are up to. Acilia and Tank have most likely teamed up with their kingdom (I think Acilia belongs to it? She helped Rebecca so she would probably at least support it...), Bellamy I have no clue, it depends on how loyal he is to Doffy, and with Jean Ango being a bounty hunter the whole star thing is right up his alley. The rest, no clue.

Well it has not been confirmed, and BB and Luffy's crews were always destined to have the same number of crew members so each one could get a battle on raftel.

Yes it has.
Burgess.
First fleet commander.
Fleet.

The same amount of "Major" crew members yes, but that doesn't mean Blackbeard won't have a couple thousand "fodder" underlings who work under his division commanders. Luffy can already drop 50,000 with CoC, so by that time, his CoC will be dropping Fodder by the hundred's of thousands
I took it more as the Dressrosan version of the Impel Down Breakout team.
That's a more apt comparison, although naturally not as strong and more numerous
Saying that, i bet cavendish or chinjao could give any of the impel down breakout team a run for their money
King of Lightning will have an orgasm when he sees one frame with both "king punch" and The headbutt.
That was a good action chapter. The colloseum fighters made me smile and the two-page spreads looked excellent. Not much else to say.
