I've not read the manga so I've not seen the Wapol stuff, and also transformation is a bit different than substance (Comparing Baby 5 to Magellan).

What exactly happens with Wapol? He gets his head cut off and his ability to eat things permits it to reattach? Sound like it doesn't make sense.

Actually it was the 20 doctors that he had with him at the time he returned to Drum, that reattached his head after Dalton decapitated him (this only happened in the manga, this was changed in the anime to being wounded across the chest). The fact he wasn't dead somehow after having his head cut off could lead to DD using a crude from of stitching with his strings to remain alive.

Luckily I managed to get 1-62 (missing 53 and 55) of the One Piece manga at a ridiculous price ($180) from craigslist. Super excited to experience One Piece again in a different format than the anime.

Edit: I thought about it for like 10 seconds and realized that the string fruit can't be a Logia even if it reattaches just because it's not an element. I guess that's why Magellan isn't a Logia user either? I do feel a little silly now but I honestly can't make sense of him reattaching his head as a Paramecia user if he DOES do that.

His death, as tragic as it was when it happened, in the end was to motivate Vivi as a character - him staying dead or being alive would NOT change the plot in ANY way. It was entirely up to the author if he wanted to bring him back, that's all. The same goes with Pagaya and Conis.

The two guardians (Falcon and Jackal) of Alabasta I presume to be based off Horus and Anubis or Set. Horus is apparently usually depicted as either a Lanner or Peregrine Falcon (which has many different subspecies that vary in appearance and range). None of you even bothered to wonder why a Falcon is even one of the flying types in One Piece aren't you?

As quoted from the wiki: "The Peregrine is renowned for its speed, reaching over 322 km/h (200 mph) during its characteristic hunting stoop (high speed dive), making it the fastest member of the animal kingdom."
THIS is years after that scene in One Piece of course, but it's not ridiculous to say that Oda knew about the hidden potential falcons have, even back then.
Oh and If you saw Gedatsu's cover story, Pell isn't exactly unharmed from that explosion and the fact that he ended up in the desert added to the explanation he was blown by the force of the bomb - as convenient as he was to be found by a doctor..

In short, you don't have to like it but it is/can be explained. Same with Pagaya falling into the White Sea, don't have to like it but has an explanation.

There are 2 options with Dofla.
1. It was a stone clone from the beginning because Pika changing Dofla in seconds just doesnt work for me.
2. Dofla powers are more hax that we think.
Personally i go for 1 option because of that "you cannot reach Dofla while Pika is there" meaning the real one.Also someone saving Dofla (Law or Pika) is just lame for his powers.

Strings being a logia doesn't make sense. The material strings are made of would be a logia element, not strings themselves.

That's assuming he isn't running away. He could just disappear like Pica. Doflamingos High executives are probably Laws level aka Shichibukai level. Diamante seems to be the weaker one but i see Trebol as being very powerful.

Understandable. Threads come out as a nature substance, it's its title on the internet. DDs devil fruit is based on a spiders thread imo and so does its ideas. The way the Logia actually works would be interesting. But tbh i think Pica has something to do with it and not something devil fruit related.

1. Luffy asking If Baby 5 and Buffalo are his friends (Punk Hazard)
2. Luffy surprise that Doflamingo was a king (OWT Dressrosa)
3. Law reveling Doflamingo's fruit(Greenbit)

Nothing is indicating that Doflamingo is keeping his Devil Fruit powers a secret to his own subordinates, knowing about the power doesn't mean that you can't get caught by it.

Come to think of it we don't even know if Doflamingo is alive. What we do know is that it's very unlikely that he is dead. Unless we are 100% sure he is alive, then we can speculate and know that there is an explanation. Who knows, as much as i hate it, Doflamingo could actually be dead next chapter. No one except Oda himself can confirm if he's dead or alive so for us its just an expectation guessing game.

Doflamingo is too smart to be outsmarted by Law with that trick.

I have been reading an interesting thread which recently came out and it's talking about Doflamingos body being Coras. Law did something interesting when he did his "mes" (scalpel) attack. Law used it to get rid of Smokers heart except with Doflamingo he aimed the attack at his head. As wild as it sounds Law might have Coras brain somewhere waiting to be restored into Doflamingos body and Law was trying to get it out to fulfill Coras destiny or w/e. That's the only reason i see Law saving Doflamingos body. Doing it for Cora.

And whilst writing this post i was wondering what that circle around Doflamingo was.. Holy shit is that Laws room??

I will not be surprised if DD is a logia, for one reason. There is a pretty good theme, cotton is a natural occuring material. Or Law will reconstruct him and do the explain the big villains plot thing. Who cares it'll be great.

On second thought i'm disappointed Fuji wasn't on the den den with akainu, I really won't even blink if law says room next chapter. No matter what doubters are saying the SHs just streamrolled dressrosa there can't be anything bad coming from this, surprises, disappointments yes. But this is already a win.

I don't get why people are saying it could be Law's power. So far from what we have seen, inside his "room" HE himself has to cut to separate body parts without actually maiming someone. It won't make sense that whoever cuts in his room will have the same effect or at least not proved so far. Looks like Sabo was the one who saved Luffy from Smoker in Loguetown with his Dragon fruit (Also, looks like he's a fruit user).

These leads me to believe, Rebecca will obtain the fruit with/without Bartolomeo's help and will eat it, as it looks like Sabo is already a fruit user and can't use it himself.

But damn! That was a great chapter. Sabo destroying the ring DBZ Style was a must! Makes a shonen tournament go real. Power balance took a dramatic turnaround in Dressrosa, and there's no break next week yay

I do not recall anything at all that suggests DD deliberately kept secrets from Law (apart from the huge "lol I'm actually a world noble") during his time in the crew.
Questions from the SHs regarding Law and anything at all relating to Dressrosa/the family:
Q: Who's Joker
A: DD, I was his subordinate
Q Upon Buffalo and Baby 5 recognizing Law and being shocked that he would betray the family: Are these friends of yours?
A: No, they're enemies now
Q: Have you ever been to Dressrosa
A: No, I've never been before (makes sense because his speech in 724 implies he left the crew before the takeover)
Q: Do you know where the factory is
A: No (which is logical because again he left the crew before they ever arrived on the island and hasn't contacted DD in over a decade)

If anything the fact that Law never attempted to slash DD's limbs off despite that being his signature move makes sense now that DD is clearly coming back from this decapitation. This implies Law knows a lot about his ability contrary to what you're suggesting.

It seems more so now that logia are not elements of nature but natural disasters that bring about destruction. (i.e. Aokiji is hail, Enel is thunderstorm, Crocodile is sandstorm, Akainu is eruption, Kizaru is solar flares, Black is blackhole, etc.) In my mind, Trebol's fruit fits in with this definition of logia. With his sticky, sticky fruit, he becomes flammable tree sap. In other words, he represents forest fires. At least that's how I justify Trebol's stickiness fruit fitting with the theme of other Logia.

Also his cut off head got no expression on it and no blood dripping off like when kyros cut off his own leg, so yea its just some kinda trick or power from doflamingo, guess we gonna see his bodyless head just laughing like always lol.

DD has the power of String-String Fruit. So I'm assuming that he can string back himself whenever he is being sliced, sort of similar to buggy's power but without the strings.
