The new episode of TMNT was pretty great.
! Casey introduction into the new series was pretty great and it nice to see him using his catchphase during the fight.
-
I wasn't aware he had a catchphrase.
-
-
Good episode this week.
! I didn't expect Dogpound to become Rahzar to happen.

I didn't see it coming either. At least he's happy now…
I also noticed the smaller nod to Baxter changing into a bug too.
-
This week episode was pretty great.
! Great introduction of Slash. The Raph vs. Slash fight was pretty great. I did laugh during the scene with Leo trying to get the ooze back and playing tea party.
-
TMNT's been on a roll lately; Season 1 was good, but season 2 has been amazing, and it's not even over yet!
Corey Feldman did a great job as Slash in this week's episode, so hopefully we get to see more of him…
-
I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Slash. I have to say Season 2 have been pretty great so far.
-
This weeks episode had some really great cinematic moments.
While I'm not the biggest fan of slash being so bulky, he was definately menacing when he roared and charged at the brothers. -
First reveal of the designs for the upcoming movie.
[hide][/hide]I dunno, I was expecting something slightly more high budget. They might want to release some real footage before this is the only thing people can judge on for a month.

And quickly, because that looks like shit. Not that I'm excited for/planning to watch the movie (maybe when it makes it to Redbox or the bargain bins)…
-
The necklace, shades, sweater around the waist, thewet suit short, and the tattoo… eh.
-
My God, what have they done.

If you watched this video:

It seems to me that they may look like this in the film:

Mikey's chin is kind of eww.
Donny is looking pretty hot though.

Aside from all the turtles having a rape faces the pic above's not bad. I mean Leo and Ralph look kinda cool. Mikey looks terrible.
-
Yeah. It looks terrible.

I'm so nonplussed right about now.
-
I'm pretty sure THAT image was just put out there to mess with people.
-
Good trolling by Robby if that's the case.
-
Apparently the awful costumes were sent out on the internet by a costume company by mistake.
TMNT.com apparently had pics of all four and were going to release one a day, but… not now.
Because Viacom has asked sites to remove them.
Because you know. It looks terrible.
Gee guys, maybe its a sign you shouldn't have such a ridiculous amount of blackout on something like this and should actually release some real press images? If ou don't want random merchandising being the first showings of things....
-
People find any old fanart on the internet and go crazy believing it's from the movie. The guy did those back in 2010. Love the guys work to death.
I'm hoping the art direction will at least try to stick with the basic designs without changing too much.
-
My faith/expectations in this whole project is as low as it can get, so theoretically I should be pleasantly surprised by what we get.
-
This is what that most recent XBLA game should've looked like.
-
Other than the pants/sweater on Mikey those don't look too bad.
-
They look more like Teenage Mutant Street Fighter Turtles…
-
Are those from the Michael Bay movie? Or is that thing already dead now?
-
These are in fact from the upcoming 2014 movie. The movie was never put to death, it was just delayed a few months. This is happening May or April 2014.
-
The turtles actually look pretty good. I don't like the extra clothes and Raph looks too buff (He looks like the Hulk xD), though. I'm happy with the faces, too. I was expecting something like Out of the Shadows, which was just awful looking.
Shredder has too much stuff going on. I like the simpler IDW design a lot more.
-

It's not a "Michael Bay movie". Any more than the Transformers movies are "Stephen Spielberg movies". He is just the Producer.
-
That Shredder looks badass! Cripes, even his cape is made of knives.
-
Assuming this is for real this time, they look alright. Not sure why they all have different noses.
-
Not enjoying the lips.
-
The faces look terrible, not horrible but terrible nonetheless.
-
Raph actually looks pretty rad, but I'm getting some serious SharkTale vibes from Leo and especially Mikey.
-
It's probably the placement of the poster or whatever it is. But Ralphs deltoid looks horribly dislocated.
Also, lips.
I can at least hope for a scene during the movie where they're just messing around to the old theme song. I can hope for that right?
-
It actually looked okay on the toy, but those faces look awful in CG. Eww.
Them having nostrils isn't inherantly a bad thing, but there's like 3 decades of asthetic behing them not having prominent noses. And you can give them lips for full facial expression without doing… that... hell, there was already a damn perfect template to go from!
Glasses on Donny to indicate he's a nerd. And Mikey is full blown DudeBro. Meh.
It's kinda lke the Michael Zuli interpretation, except… those were cool?
Also.
Where's the TEENAGE MUTANT half of the title?
-
I thought we already knew the teenage mutant part was being removed a long time ago?
-
I really gotta check out more TMNT stuff. The comics look awesome.
-
And no, the Michael Zuli stuff wasn't cool, that's the point when I quit reading Mirage comics.

Well, the ART was cool. The actual story…. eh. But it was only 3 issues and not part of the continuity. That was the like, 30 issue period where they had a ton of guest artists doing whatever the hell with the property and there was a super wide range of stuff going on. From kung-fu homage to super dark to really random wacky stuff... Which was kind of cool... but would have been better suited as a spinoff series rather than the main brand. (I know, Eastman and Laird were swamped with running their giant empire at that point, they didn't have much choice about working on the book themselves.)
Still, the first buncha issues were pretty great.
All about the Archie version anyway. And Ninjara.
-

Well, between Micheal Bay saying the Turtles had a alien orgins and the title not having Teenage Mutant in the title people had a bitchfest. Though the removal of Teenage Mutants wasn't because of the alien story but because Paramount wanted a shorter title (those are in) and to be able to distinguish between the new and old.
Most likely this is an older promotional print with up to date character models from before adding TM back into TMNT; or they're keeping the short title.
But considering that this is a pic of a print out, and is considered a leak, it was a promotional art for investors and not for the public.

I liked some of the guest artist stuff a lot particularly the Rick Veitch and Mark Martin ones. I think at some point I started to feel like there wasn't a lot of effort being put into the comics, and they always took so long to come out between issues. But honestly I was also entering my teen years and I was less interested in comics overall at the time and becoming more interested in vintage record collecting, so it might have been more me than anything.

The toys ladies and gentlemans.
!
Mike face is going to give me nightmares. -
Yeaaaah . . . . . . . I'm not liking this vision so far . . . . . .
-
Well Mikey aside…overall I'm actually digging the designs.
