There are comments in Batoto telling Reflejo stabbed Koon and Hwa! Pretty much, any thing could have happen there.

Probably…
! That Hwa Ryun is a fake hostage, or Koon is going to put her inside his bag.
Maybe Koon needs to grab Hwa to be able to teleport her outside of Reflejo's domain, and the plan was that Rak had to distract Reflejo, so that he could reach where she is…
I hoped it won't be a classical trope where you remove the hostage issue by taking down the forementioned histage.
Still, don't see how anything short of killing Hwaryun would make Reflejo lose his grip on her. Next chapter will probably bring more clarity.
Also, the beginning of the chapter was quite confusing. With Cassano. He has a secret ally?
What makes you think he has an ally? It seemed to me he was working alone on his very selfish agenda…

Well, there's something that looks like a destroyed guardian on the floor in the first panel. Some kind of construct anyway, not a person.
And then next
!
He mentions some guy and he was worried he will get caught up in the explosion? And it looks like he's improved?
The story was a little hectic, so it's possible I don't remember it all. But at the moment, it looks to me like he has someone working with him, on his own agenda.
It's gonna be embarassing if I missed it somehow.

Remember, Cassano has a "rivalry" with Hatsu? I doubt Cassano knows Leroro is here, so he assumed Hatsu killed the guard bot and didn't get caught up in the explosion.

Yes, I missed that. If it's not a translation issue, it'd be very weird, since the only ones creating an explosion were the wing tree guys, iirc.
EDIT: Ahh or what Luxor says makes perfect sense.

That's right, totally forgot about Hatsu and his rivalry with Cassano. In retrospect, that line about him being worried is what threw me off probably.
I really liked it more when I read chapters one after another. Reading it weekly, you can find yourself forgetting details, especially if the story starts to become complicated as it is now.
Blog's note for chapters 101 and 102, thanks to Random Webtoon-Fan from Batoto:
Blog is being managed very poorly.
Sorry for that. TTI feel like I am writing bad and sad new on blog,
So I have been careful these days. This chapter is separated into halves, each having different story.
It might be a bit hard to understand while reading.
The part that was hardest while I was drawing Cassano part was
He is a character that is neither saved nor beaten by main character.
But comes and goes with different ideals and plans.
Someone who rarely appears in Shounen.
It was necessary for later, but it could have flown more naturally, or more aggressively..
I am still not satisfied.
Emile's power is planned to show up importantly later.Gongbang arc has 3 to 4 chapters left.
Not much left, so I will give my best.Outcome of Final round and actions of Rankers who are watching will be decided soon.
[Some talk about meeting up with his school's freshmen.]
SIU always seems to be apologizing lol.
SIU is secretly a Canadian
So the thorn's final form is a red toothpick? A really big mistranlation from mangacow. It's not the Clear Dream Blade. Koon's knife is the White Heavenly Mirror.
So Koon got something similar to the Manbarondenna huh.
So Koon got something similar to the Manbarondenna huh.
I'd prefer it if he used the suitcase. This knife gives a feeling like it was designed specifically to make a cliffhanger. Rather specific usage.

It's pretty much the same thing it was before ti attached itself to Baam, it's just the compressed version, minus the bandaging. I'm itching to find out exactly the thron is , and what are its origin.
about the WHM, I wouldn't call it a mistranslation, as I recall some translators discussing that WHM might not be its actual name, as there could be a few other different translations. (wouldn't call MC trans right though) Guess just wait on TC.
The big thing about the thorn is that it can't be used with out glasses, … according to the last panel.
What's this about glasses?
What's this about glasses?
I meaned it can't be used with out glasses… it's just that in the last panel the drawing can be viewed as if Baam would have glasses.
When Koon is talking about Baam before he unleashes the power of the thorn, is Koon hinting that Baam might not be in full control of himself/powers?
I meaned it can't be used with out glasses… it's just that in the last panel the drawing can be viewed as if Baam would have glasses.
…what? Baam doesn't have glasses, nor does it look like he does.
Baam's not wearing glasses. It's the shading for his hair.

The Thorn is one of Enryu's spears used to kill the Guardian of the 43rd Floor. The living nature of the Thorn comes from Enryu's ability to create life using his Shinsoo.

Yeah, I know. It just looks really lame. SIU should've had a better design for it espeically if Baam is going to have it over his shoulder from now on whenever he fights. Horyang's ignition weapon looks badass like a lightning wing. Beta's changes forms depending on his attacks. Baam's is just a red toothpick.

It looks more or less the same as when it appeared during the fight with Leesoo. Horang's ignition weapon is the same, the only difference is it's embedded in his body with the same types of bandages that are wrapped around Baam's thorn. In the end though, it's a spear, so there's not much to make it appealing.
Horyang's isn't boring like Baam's is. Horyang's changes it's shape based on what he feels like when he was playing cards. Then when he fully ignites it becomes the lightning wing. Baam's is just really boring looking. SIU could've given it some characteristics of that red lobster skeleton he showed when Viole first appeared. Something similar to Beta's. Hell, why make it into a spear if Baam isn't even going throw it if it's just going to make his Shinsoo stronger. It's an extremely lame design when SIU isn't limited to just Enryu's spear. Baam has the red lobster demon/thorn bowl/spear inside him. He could've done a hybrid type of ignition form. But nope, we get tiny red toothpick over his shoulder.
To be fair it's still early. Hopefully that isn't it's final shitty form.
Chances that that's the final form are close to nothing.
SIU blogpost is up.
Have been late with blog post these days.
I have been going slowly with story progression speed,
It was hard to change all of sudden, so I had to carry it to this chapter a bit.
And I had some condition problems too.
This is almost coming to the end, so it should be ok, though;
I said I would have liked Heavenly White Mirror and Bongbong.
Who read today's chapter would have understood.
I designed HWM to be given for Koon.
Other two skills will be shown someday, so please wait.
Some may think Bongbong's area of effect is to big,
But as the Floor gets higher, density of Sinsoo rises, forcing the area it can teleport into smaller area.
And it can not be used affectively if there is a good Light Bearer or Wave Controller.
(Ron's Lighthouses are broken.)
Next week I have a medical checkup, so I may go hiatus.
I will let everyone know if that comes.
I showed up at my old school to meet freshmen and got incredible response from everyone.
Thank you and have a nice week~!
^ I'm expecting SIU to put the thorn through some evolutions and powerups, and may in fact change beyond the red toothpick.
He better. It's lame as hell right now.
Don't have much of a problem with it, to be honest. Appearance wise, anyway. When he got it, I didn't like the fact that it will just fly above his shoulder for the rest of his life, making him recognizable practically everywhere. It's also a big exclamation mark showing Baam's location and could potentially bother him in fights in narrow spaces. Can he even sleep on his back or right side with that thing? Why does it have auto bandages? Why doesn't it just disappear when it's not used?
Because he didn't say "Thorn, Invisible Mode" yet.
Because he didn't say "Thorn, Invisible Mode" yet.
Joke all you want but Baam might actually start talking to the Thorn eventually. Coupled with the Red Lobster he already has in him, things might start to get crowded around Baam. All that's missing is Black March.
If only I was convinced SIU has it in him to use the full potential of the story.
I wasn't joking. Remember, that's how he made the pocket disappear?
Pocket is a machine that recognizes and translates speech and therefore can be given voice commands. The Thorn, on the other hand, should be a living organism of some sort. Wonder if it even has an intelligence.
Then there are other options too. Like maybe it absorbed part of the Guardian's consicence. Maybe it has a part of Enryuu's personality. Maybe it will resonate to that demon Baam already has and form a personality of it's own. Maybe it will become one with Baam and change his personality.
So many possibilities. To be honest, I'd prefer if there was no Thorn, or a Lobster. Baam was perfectly fine as a guy who has a strange connection with Shinsoo and learns ridiculously fast. Now he's become a somewhat important person in the Tower and it feels like normal missions or tests will become rare.
Well, the thorn IS a weapon after all, so why couldn't he put it into his arms inventory/pocket? Everyone does it with every other weapon, why not the thorn?
Well, the thorn IS a weapon after all, so why couldn't he put it into his arms inventory/pocket? Everyone does it with every other weapon, why not the thorn?
Well it should be more of a part of his body now than a separate weapon he can store. Maybe it would be like trying to put one of his arms into an inventory. It doesn't even look that big compared to it's actual size.

Huh… that might be true. But remember how he can hide the lobster---even if it's part of his body, and even if he can't put it into the arms inventory, it'll disappear, presumably into some in/tangible part of his body. If the thorn is anything close to lobster (which SIU has pretty much said they are), then Baam should be able to hide it too.
Thought I read in SIU notes that break this week. Is that sounding right?

Yup, it's resuming on the 24th.
3월 24일자 연재 재개 예정입니다. 감사합니다.
Probably a good thing, given his wrist is seriously fucked up by now. Hopefully he can finish this arc up soon and then take a few months off to do his surgery and heal properly.
I wish he would just stop here and heal his wrist.
Some authors must be pretty crazy addicted to the praise from their fans if they can't put their own health issues first.

I also would stop here to heal my wrist if I were in his shoes. But I understand that he's more on a feeling of obligation to his readers than addicted to their praise. SIU seems to be a humble guy. Anyway, … hope he stops soon.

I can see it both ways. Would he feel as obligated if no one was cheering him on? I say we all tell him to please take care of himself so that he can really give his all to his passion when the time is right.
! At last!!!!!!!! Baam killed, eliminated, massacred, smashed an enemy. Another rival repentant and with the chance to become an allie would have be pathetic.
! The story was screaming: give me some bloooood!

While TheCompany comes, the summary of Ramdon-webtoon-fan from batoto:
Reflejo is left confused, for that should not be working against him.
Koon get it is Thorn which is stabilizing uncertain waves. Which is supposed to be impossible.
'Something' inside it is 'Dominating' Sinsoo nearby.
It is power that rivals God's.
Reflejo wonders if that is Thorn's true form.
Rak asks if Black Turtle is ok, Baam says yes.
He feels it is similar to Fake Thorn, but something is different.
Reflejo wonders what is different now.
GongBang Tournament - Finishing it-
Inside Arch, the guards have taken over 'traverlers'
The Daft Funk guys are glad now they can start Tournament again and get Emile from the Merchants.
Then they here crows shouting, and see pink meteor. And shocked why Androssi is here with Bongbong.
Reflejo believes even with changes, Baam is still but a E-rank regular.
Then he remembers a guy saying
'I will give part of my Shadow to you. You are worthy, for you lost all to Great Families. Powers are, after all, must be given to who are fit to.'
Then he decides to test whether Baam is worthy of his power.
He uses Fifth Shadow -Sa Walng Yung- and ShipJaManWalYung
And they flow in unpredictable way because they are shadow waving without rules.
Baam tries to stop it, Reflejo says it is useless.
But it works.
Baam says it is okay to worried Koon but says he won't last long with this condition. And challenges Reflejo to end it quickly.
Reflejo has other flashback.
'It is time, make team with one chosen by Elders and complete Real Thorn. The day when our wish is granted comes.'
And he says he can't accept it even if that is Thorn's wish to choose Baam as its master. For he is not'Our God' who will grant their wishes.
Baam says yes, he is not their God.
For their God is nothing but illusion from their weakness.
Koon block Reflejo attack with Lighthouse Barrier, Rak throws his spear. Which Koon teleports to bullseye,
Baam says he will stop being called God, forced to grant wish. Stop playing God puppet.
Mean while, Andorssi yells IT IS DATEEEEE
Baam says it is end now.
Reflejo mask breaks.
Author comment : Goodbye Reflejo.
The way the thorn "dominates" shinsoo around it kinda reminds me of the Exis/Axis and their "absolute power" status.
Reflejo got taken out exactly like everyone expected and in the end did not made much harm besides posing behind a hostage.
So next chapter the Androssi fight can be concluded and maybe one or two other issues adressed, then another 2-3 chapters to wrap the arc finally up and then the author can take his multi-month hiatus to heal his wrist and hopefully think up some actually interesting and unexpected stuff in the future to make ToG exciting again.
Not so sure Reflejo is done. Probably yes, but there's a chance he'll cause more trouble.
Fighting was ok this time. I wish it didn't look so chaotic, SIU has shown he can do much better. Those bits from Reflejo's memory were pretty interesting.
I agree TOG has a lot more to offer. This arc turned from being a potential repeat of the test floor with interesting games, to a pure fighting contest, to a hopeless situation for the good guys and finally to total curbstomp of the baddies.
But somehow I expect new trouble now. Like Kuma on Thriller Bark, after Moria was finally beaten.
Not so sure Reflejo is done. Probably yes, but there's a chance he'll cause more trouble.
If Poken is Voldemor, Reflejo is a killed Horcrux. I hope Baam will face Poken in the future. It would be nice if it were in this arc, but I doubt it. Anyway, I also hope Reflejo is not the final rival on the arc.. but…
