If One piece did not have Luffy just the others would you still be fans of it.
What if One piece didn't have Luffy in it would you still read or watch it.

Fo' sho'.
It's a cool world that I would enjoy even if it was like each chapter focused on someone else.
For me, Luffy and the gang just make it more enjoyable. -
Doubt it
Can't think of anybody else that would work as the main character :)
-
Everybody would be dead if it wasn't for Luffy's intervention.
Dead or in captivity. -
One Piece is filled with great characters. I love Luffy but if Oda wanted to write a few volumes or a spinoff staring Zoro, Doflo, Whitebeard, Mr 2, Kizaru, Kaku or Gin or etcetcetc you can bet your ass that I would be interested.
-
Probably not.
He was what got me into One Piece in the first place. -
Hell yeah, even without Luffy the series would still be great.
-
This thread exists why?
Also, anything with Usopp, BB crew, andBuggyShanks is readable. -
i would have gotten into OP as well, because luffy´s not my favorite crewmember to begin with.
the series itself has such a huge number of great stories and characters, so luffy is great but not necessary to attract people -
I still would but that's not something I would like to think about.
He contributes to the really awesome moments in the series.
And other than that he's an amazing character perfect for the role of main.
One Piece really wouldn't be the same without him, though. Oh, here's Lucci and gang talking dramatically to Iceburg in a scene of global proportions… BA-BOOM! Luffy crashes through a wall with his goofy mouth wide open ready to get his crew member back.
-
I would read have read it… but definitely wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
-
Wouldn't really be much of a series, seeing as he's the one who joined the crew together.
-
Prolly not. A long series like this needs a charasmatic character to rally behind. If Zoro was the main character wanting to be the swordsman king I don't think he could carry the series this far as the main character. Might have been a really good series with awsome sword fights but ultimately would have been a much shorter series.

It
s fun to enjoy some side-stories without Luffy but the main story is to much focused around him. After they were seperated from each other at Shabondy many expected to have first the focus on something else as Luffy..but in the end it was all around him. Thinking of it now it sure could have been great first to leave the main character out of the game for a while, but banishing him enterily from this story wouldn
t work out.Replacing him with someone else as capt`n (like Sabo or they join Shanks) could be for a while okay, but simply would be odd.

lol, but he never existed in the first place.
If it WAS Sabo as the main character, that's the way it is. It wouldn't be odd because that's how it was created, and that'd be the way that we know (and get used to). This is if Luffy didn't exist. Like, at all.
So it wouldn't be odd without him. He was never there. -
If luffy wasnt there the entire show would be completely different anyways almost making the question un-answerable. But forum answer: Yes
-
Okay, i thought he would now be taken out of the story.
When he just never existed it`s rly hard to answer…i guess Oda is genius enough to make it readable even with a differnet main character.
So i would definitely read it. -
Well, it depends, on how you mean your question. If One Piece was created with a totally different main character, and we never knew about Luffy, I think the series would still be really good and I'd still like it. But if Luffy would just not be in the series anymore, but I'd know he'd once existed, I'd miss him a lot.
But it's not like I read One Piece solely for Luffy.
