He said in the article, that he may reconsider it, but it was meant to be quite straight forward.
I loved the ending, I thought it was very suspenseful, and deeply creative with Walt's badassery.
Yes, it did lack the boom of the other endings, but watching the evolution of Walt from ignorant nice man to badass villain is amazing and very respectful to the basis of a brilliant scientist character.
This season was amazing, probably my favourite one so far. I especially love how it finally established that Walt (even though he claims otherwise) is the "bad guy" that Jesse claimed to be in the beginning of the season. Jesse on the other hand is shown to be nowhere near as ruthless as Walt.
Great ending. Can't wait for Season 4, but I hope this show will end soon, since I don't want to see it going downhill…
Less than 2 months! Hoping this thread will interest a bunch of people into catching up on the 3 seasons before 4 airs.
I got into this series a month ago, and I've been wanting to watch more ever since. Unfortunately, I've got no cable or satellite, and I've only seen the first 3 episodes.
Kinda funny, as I'm majoring in Chemistry (at the moment).
The episodes are hosted online at various sites, just use google. I would recommend catching up, Season 4 is about to start, and as a Chem major, I'm sure you'll love the sciencey aspect of it.
And you can get the season sets real cheep too. I got the first at Christmas for about $10, and the third is on sale for $20 this week. Gonna pick it up and hope the second is cheep too.

The chemistry stuff is fun, like the mercury trick Walter did when he first met Tuco, but what I love more is seeing Walter's and Jesse's characters develop.
Anywho. I'm a little over halfway in Season 2. The ending of the episode Peekaboo was pretty sad :( at least the kid will have a better life…
And I just bought Season 3 today, mainly because I was going to use it in a prank for my sister's birthday, but I've yet to see her. I'll start it up after Season 2, of course.
I'm getting so addicted to this show. I'm midway through S2 and just got S3 in the mail.
Seeing as how I don't want any spoilers, I'll be avoiding any replies with this until I catch up.
I am re-watching season 3 now and
! And One Minute has to be the best Breaking Bad episode ever With one of the greatest endings ever (with Hank taking the legs of one of the Cousins and killing the other. Though I will probably say the same thing about the penultimate episode where Walt runs those gangbangers over with his car
They were pretty epic episodes, but then again BB always does something epic.
Welcome RuNa, there's crystal meth in the kitchen and you can stock up on guns and unmarked $100 bills from the laundry room.
Hm. I just realized, my dad has the same facial hair as walt, and he's a chem. professor, and he's about the same age.
He's not "cooking" as far as I know shifting eyes
Anyways, I'm really liking how this show seems so real, so when things get intense, it feels even more so, such as that little explosion with the DEA near Mexico. That really creeped me out.
! Holy Fuck Gustavo killed the shit out of Victor. Definite proof to Walt that Gus ain't fucking around anymore.
Great premiere. Gonna enjoy the next three months
Finally it beings, I ll download and watch it later.
I have a feeling… Heisenberg is either going to return in a badass way, or Jesse will now walk the dark path.
! I'm also kind of scared that Jesse will die this season for some reason and the final season will be Walt's demise, how much longer can this go on with the near death situations? Plus it's better to go out on top, and it would be believable for two individuals in their position to both end up dead
I have a feeling… Heisenberg is either going to return in a badass way, or Jesse will now walk the dark path.
! Heisenberg almost returned tonight for Gus' head but luckily for Walt's sake Mike called him off. I truly see Mike eventually turning against Gus after something big happens. And Jesse continues to spiral out of control.
! Also, the Saul Goodman commercial was fucking awesome.
I'm really worried about Jesse..
He's the ying to Walter's yang, which at the moment is the only good thing coming out of his partnership (paying his dues to the girl after her brother was killed).
I just don't know how long he can survive, or more precisely, how much longer Walt can protect him.
I just started to watch this series with a friend (first half of the first season iam done with) and i rly like it.
Iam looking forward to get to the newest episodes in a short time.(but i promised that we`re watching it together, so it will take a bit)
It's a great series, I'm almost done with Season 3. I just got done with the episode Fly.
I must be missing something, that episode seemed to be… filler. Sorta like the writers were using it to stall for time to think of new ideas, seeing as how the previous episode tied up quite a lot of things. I got the message that Walt was saying about the "perfect time" and telling Jesse that he was sorry, but that seemed about it...
That was the best plot twist ever.
Last night's episode is probably in the top three of the best Breaking Bad ever.
! Jesse revealing that he murdered Gale to his drug counselor and the group was one of the best scenes in the show, and so fucking happy that DEA Hank is back

! Erm, I'm pretty sure he said he killed a dog not an actual man.
@Thousand:
! Erm, I'm pretty sure he said he killed a dog not an actual man.
! Yeah but the way Jesse was talking about it to one of the only people in the show to actually have a moral compass, his counselor probably figured that this wasn't about him killing a dog
! Also I wish I had the money to destroy a Dodge Challenger and not give a fuck in the world
Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit….
Oh shit.
Yes, the ending of that episode was fantastic.
Right now I'm wearing my Breaking Bad shirt from Teefury. It's pretty sweet.
While I think that Aaron Paul has the Best Supporting Actor Emmy locked down, Giancarlo Esposito may give him a run for his money. As for Sunday's episode, The writers have made Gus one of the best characters on TV.
! Everything with Gus was amazing, and we now know why he hates and won't work with the cartel. Also, this is either (sadly) the beginning of the end for Gus or he is gonna single handily take down the cartels, and I definitely could see that happening. Finally, Steven Bauer sighting made me sing "Push It to the Limit Once again, FANTASTIC episode
HO-LY SHIT
! Looks like this is the end of Walt and Jesse. That scene with them arguing was great and the talk between Gus and Jesse (No wonder why Gus stuck with managing, he can't cut for shit) was almost perfect. Also Gus is King Shit Of Fuck Mountain due to his badassery.
!
It feels like I'm the only one on here watching this but man this is without a doubt the best drama on TV.
! I am speechless at how this week's episode was amazing. Walt telling Walt Jr about his father dying of Huntingtons when he was six and Jr's response was emotionally beautiful and broght a little humanity back to Walt, especially at how Walt has become a monster this season. Also, that ending with Gus killing Don Elaido and how he set it up to mirror the final scene from the episode Hermanos two weeks ago was awesome. While Walt has been falling this season Gus has grown to be known a man who owns a chicken franchise and meth business to a man who refuses to work with the cartels and actually plans and succeeds to avenge his "hermano's" death. Finally, Jesse has gron as well as a man who wanted money and women at the beginning of the show to rejecting all during his stay in Mexico and finally receiving the respect he always wanted (though from Mike, not Walt).
I love watching Breaking Bad but there is almost no point in speculating with all of the surprises happening each episode. I believe that there is only 3 episodes left this season.
This wasn't much as a twist, as you could see it coming a mile away.
But ooooooooooh shit, do I love the way this show is written.
Walt is going to be maaaaaaaad Jessee didn't kill them when he had the perfect chance.
Bring on the shitstorm finale once more!
i think walt is done being mad at jesse, at least for a couple months.
Also, Mike was about to shoot Jesse before he got shot, I don't care what anyone says otherwise, it was clearly shown that way.
Mike had plenty of other opportunities to kill Jesse before they got in the car. He's also the one who told Jesse to pick up a gun. He's also the one who told Jesse they were all going home or none of them were going home. He's never come off as the type to lie or shot someone he likes in the back. He even gave Walt the courtesy of some face to face talk before he was about to shot him. That's even ignoring the fact that if Gus wanted Jesse dead he could've waited until they got back home an were safely out of harms way instead of killing one of his only allies in a foreign country in this middle of a shot out. That idea has so many holes it's ridiculous.
Also, Mike was about to shoot Jesse before he got shot, I don't care what anyone says otherwise, it was clearly shown that way.
Has this stupid "theory" really spilled over from Gamefaqs to here? He was giving Jesse a sweeping cover. What didn't they let Jesse drink the poison? How have you not been paying attention to the growing relationship between Mike and Jesse, and Gus's grooming of Jesse?

Quoted for truth. I have a friend who said the same thing and I responded the same way you did.I wish it was Sunday already because I an jonesing bad for the new episode
I don't read gamefags, I saw the scene, said wtf? replayed it and came to my conclusion.
You should do the same.
Mike is a hired killer, "growing relationships" do not exist for him. He was having a drink with Walt and suddenly beat the shit out him.

Walt asked him to kill hiss boss who he clearly has a stronger relationship with other than employer and employee. Hired killer or no, he has a heart. And more importantly, he has a brain and he's not gonna kill an ally in enemy territory. Especially when he could kill him anytime he wants back home. Plus the ultimatum that Walt won't work without Jesse still stands despite their fight. And yeah, if he was gonna kill him, why not let Jesse drink the poison? Gus went out of his way to make sure Jesse didn't drink it for crying out loud.

You obviously missed the implied relationship of Mike and Victor.
!
Tremendous
This is, without a doubt, the best show on TV right now. That whole episode was amazing. And the season isn't even over! I on't watch the previews so i have no idea where next week is heading but jeez. That last shot zooming out from the crawlspace. ugh, so good.
! Walt really didn't think his escape through. Even if the money had been there he was still digging through the crawlspace by the time Saul called the DEA so he wouldn't have been out of reach of Gus. He should've gathered his stuff and told Saul to call the DEA after he gives him a phone call or something. Now Gus is going to be pissed Walter tipped the cops off. Hank is going to suspect even more that he's on the right track. We're not even sure where Junior is. And he doesn't have enough money for an escape. 2 episodes left and this season and so much shit is hitting so many fans.
! hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide you infant daughter…
anybody have a place to watch the first like, 4-5 episodes of season 4 online that can PM me? xfinity doesn't have them on my telly and they're not available thru netflix. thanks in advance - and sorry if there's a link in this thread - I'm trying to avoid being spoilered since I haven't seen any of season 4 yet.
Oh look, they didn't want to kill Jesse. Who would have thought.
I love Bill Burr.Oh, and the episode was awesome, I suppose.
! hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide you infant daughter…
Hahaha
I loved the ending of this episode. Seeing as we know there is still one more season, I really can't wait until we find out what direction the show is heading. Also, that death was pretty funny.
Jesse gonna die by Walt's hand. You heard it here first.
The last scene of the latest episode was amazingly intense. What a show!
Oh god this show
! I mean is Walt above poisoning a child. He did look at that plant like he had an sudden thought but when corned he seemed genuinely in the dark. Gus is as inscrutable as ever. He might have done it. He's not above it. But he might not have done it which changes the dynamic of everything especially his relationship with Jesse (which was going so well) cause now Jesse just tried to kill him. Does he even suspect Jesse of being involved. Maybe he just went back to talk to Jesse and didn't even think his car was rigged. UGH GUS WHY ARE YOU SO UNREADABLE! One more episode left and i think everyone is out of cards to play. Walt failed to kill Gus, Jesse is on thin ice, Hank searched the lab and found nothing. Nothing to do now but see where it all falls.
! Also anyone else think Walt an Jesse treat Saul undeservingly bad. Like he's some kind of scum. I mean Saul isn't the greatest person ever but he's always done right by Walt and Jesse, above and beyond what most people would do. He's always given them sound advise and tried to make the best of the shitty situations they make for themselves. I'm going to miss seeing him around but they were just like w/e Saul.
I started this series on a whim two weeks ago, and holy shit is it good. I got all caught up last night and I can not wait for sunday. Half and Full Measure alone makes this one of the best series I have ever seen. Also how the hell have you guys waited week by week for every episode. One day has gone by since I have caught up and it is really killing me
! When I first saw sundays episode of course I though there was no way walt would do that to Brock, but seeing as how his family is involved I just can't shake the feeling that Walt did poison Brock. I really, really hope I'm wrong on this.
^same as you, except I started it back when season 2 started, but then didn't have HBO and I stopped for a long time. Plus I started WITH season 2 with no access to season 1. When I finally had all the episodes on lock down like a week ago, I started from the beginning and it's been a great ride. I just caught up yesterday.
! I doubt Walt poisoned the kid. It's just not in his character. Having kids is powerful and having his own that he's done everything to protect.. it just seems like such a low, low backstabbing move. So I don't think he had anything to do with it.
