I started ordering off rightstuf since the beginning of season 4. I've been pretty happy with them and the early shipping. Waiting for this one has been tough, but it's gonna be worth it.

Whenever I buy an One Piece DVD i just go to my local Best Buy. They always seem to be good having stuff in stock.
-
I'm just hoping my local Wal-Mart gets this voyage like they got S4V5. Getting that set for $20 was such a steal.
-
The early shipping has made us a little spoiled. :P
-
I'm not a fan of the way Amazon or Wal-Mart treats its employees, so I've been keeping my distance as much as possible lately.
-
I'll probably be lucky to get the set before release date, normally takes about a week and a half for me to get it in my country, and if i'm unlucky there will be a customs charge which will mean a longer wait.
-

Unfortunately, your not going wont change an iota.

It doesn't speak for all Wal-Marts but the one near me usually is pretty good I guess it also depends on why you go there I don't get video games there so I couldn't really speak for that.
-
So now that it's been brought up. What are the chances of it appearing at Walmart again? I've been holding up ordering on amazon just holding on to the chance that it may show up there. Getting it early is great and all, but at that 20$ price range, you just can't beat it.
-

You know, what was I thinking, you're totally right. I guess I will give them my business after all, seeing as not doing so makes no difference in the end. My conscience has never felt lighter.

does amazon treat its employees bad. want do they do.

Go sarcasm!…?
I've always been the type to try to fix things when they're wrong, but to not waste energy and time protesting if the protesting is useless. This is the same reason why I still eat meat. I agree and believe it's wrong. The animal activist philosophers all have great points, but I realize my not eating isn't going to change a damn thing except my diet. It all comes down to wasted effort. You'll spend more money and time avoiding Walmart, most likely. I work for a company where we sell things to Wwalmart and other places- Walmart is always the cheapest place to buy it. And obviously less time consuming because you don't have to drive to several different places.
Could I have gotten more off topic?

If it sold well, I don't see why not.
-
Can someone provide visual proof that one piece is at select walmarts? I went to four walmarts near me and they don't carry them.
-
the WALLMART in alsip does not carry ONE PIECE dvds.

Unpaid overtime, working in storehouses without air conditioning, having convoluted protocols for injuries so as not to report them as work-related. Basically, the customers benefit at the cost of the employees.
Really, though, I'm not expecting everyone to jump ship. I'm not actively boycotting them, I simply do my shopping elsewhere when I can help it.
-
Some of the collection sets are now are 16.99 right now on Amazon. That isn't bad for the collections.

Those sounds like store-specific problems. Also, there are plenty of jobs where there isn't A/C that involve lots of labor. You can't really fault them for that one- it's just the field they work in.
Regardless, I'm sure it isn't a great job, but it's ultimately up the the employees who decide to work there over another place. They can always be job hunting while still working.
And you'd be very surprised how many jobs have convoluted rules to save themselves money. My friend who works at Disney was told she needed to get another doctor's signature for her injury, but she's only allowed to see a Disney-hired doctor. When injuries and insurance is involved, it's very difficult to find a place that will treat you with entire fairness.
I attempt to support independent places as much as possible, but cost effectiveness is necessary for most. Walmart answers that demand.
Probably too off-topic for the forums. Feel free to PM.

So I guess we won't be seeing any One Piece until July 23rd

I wouldn't say that yet. It'll probably ship the end of the week. I'll cancel and switch to amazon if it doesn't ship halfway through next week.
-
Too early to assume until…uh...July 23rd.
-
The one good thing about this set not coming yet is it means a shorter wait between the next two sets.
-
Hoping for an end-of-October release date for Voyage 3.

Same here, it would pretty much confirm the whole 6 week thing. October solicitations will go up sometime next week so can't wait for that.
-
Don't forget us rightstuf folks will get strong world at the end of October, too. Great month for one piece fans.
-
The end of October would be great for voyage 3. So many good things going on then. We would be deep in the Enies Lobby fights on the DVDs, we get Strong World, and the Toonami broadcast will be at Aokiji and the beginning of Water 7. If for some reason we get Voyage 4 in December too, well happy holidays everyone.
-
RightStuf last updated its information at 1:30:38 AM Central time, which was almost ten minutes ago.
Still on order from manufacturer. That rules out the possibility of getting it this week.
I'm not complaining, but this has probably been the longest wait for an early release yet. Haha.
-
Rightstuf….what ya doing to me, baby?
This wait is killing me.
-
Looks like I have to wait till September now. On the plus side, at least I can marathon both of the voyages!
-
As usual, subtract 1 day from Previews (they list on Wednesdays). So it looks like Season 5, Voyage 3 will be released on October 15th. It's still preliminary until retailers like RightStuf lists them for sale.
ONE PIECE DVD SEA 05 VOYAGE THREE (C: 0-1-1) 10/16/13 SRP: $39.98

yes. Shorter release schedule.
-
Awesome news! Hopefully it'll stay that way.
-
This is great. Looks like we might be getting something new every month and looks like we'll be getting 4 sets and Strong World by the end of the year!
-
Looks like season 5 will be released in full way before next summer awesome
-
Great news. I'm excited our prediction is actually coming true.
Shortening of the release gap is starting to make me suspect that Funi might announce a Season 6 acquisition at Otakon. It's very likely. -
Can't wait to get this set….
-
This shorter release schedule will be great. Finally, Funi will let me throw my OP money I've been saving and wanting to throw at them for all the One Piece I want to buy.
-
My checking account is ready.
-
Apparently my copy of Fairy Tail Part 5 is coming tomorrow from Rightstuf. Sucks that the One Piece set couldn't ship as early. Oh well its only a matter of time anyway. This will hold me over until it comes.

Fairy Tail was shipped days ago and is already on the internet.

I'm sure he's aware of that by now.

Well mine just shipped today.

Wow, it's hard to believe we are so close to Thriller Bark. It's hard to believe we could see it dubbed next summer even.
-

I suspect that's what's behind the faster release schedule, so they can start a new season every summer. And since Season Five has more voyages, well, you do the math.
-
With this new release frequency, here are my predictions for the season 5 voyages:
S5V1 - July 23
S5V2 - September 3
S5V3 - October 15
S5V4 - early December
S5V5 - late January
S5V6 - early MarchWhich could put us at season 6 around April!

Since it appears to be taking Right Stuf a while, I'm canceling and going to Amazon this time. Mostly because my order is cheaper overall on Amazon (I also ordered Yu Yu Hakusho S4 on Blu-ray), and if we're not/barely getting the early shipping, then there's no real advantage to Right Stuf. It's also my birthday Sunday and I'd rather have the extra money in my pocket right now to have some fun with.

Fair. That's what they get when they fail to come through on their promise of early delivery. I'll be canceling halfway through next week if it fails to update. There's no sense in losing ten dollars unless it comes at least a week early.
-
I don't remember RS ever making a promise on early delivery, it was just something they did that we came to expect and feel entitled to (to an extent).
-
True. But taking the money/not delivering on their word/not reimbursing anyone the money after making them pay over the odds for it definitely seems messed up.

They haven't taken anything. Your card is only charged when the order is about to be shipped. And what's all this about reimbursement? Are you mistakenly thinking that shipments breaking the street date are a right and not a privilege?

Finally decided to start buying the voyages for season 4 instead of waiting for the collections. i bought voyage 1 and 2 off Amazon for 40 bucks. so I'll probably be collecting the voyages from now on although i wouldn't be surprised if i still got the collections for collection 9 and the ones after it
