So what if we join mashima and togashi toguether?:ninja:
Something akin to OP would be born?
Hiro is one busy bee. Admirable attitude towards his job as mangaka but, alas, it all goes to waste when he tries telling a story.

Chapter's out: http://mangastream.com/read/fairy_tail/71392494/1
7 chapters within the next 2 weeks (3 next week, 3 + 1 omake the week after). Seriously props to him for that. His writing's hardly the best, but damn he works hard.
Ahahahaahahahahahaha
So what if we join mashima and togashi toguether?:ninja:
Then we will get an artist who writes bad storylines and draws badly. ;)
And as for the six chapters next two weeks, my guess is that Zeref and Acnologia will show up and get
defeated by Fairy tail and the series will end. Who's with me?
Urtear's sacrifice was pointless as well. Since the gates are destroyed, the dragons never killed anyone, so whoever died would've been brought back to life anyway.
Although, she probably isn't even dead.
so the point of the poison dude was?
"That one minute became the catalyst for humanity's counterattack."
Then Natsu solo'ed.
I doubt even Mashima could draw 3 chapters within a week (let alone twice in a row). He probably drew 1.5 or 2 chapters per week for several weeks and is now releasing all of the stockpiled chapters at once.
The end was worse than I expected… but well, at least it's over. Let's move on, now.

The notification that he had good news was released a month ago i think, the news itself was delayed till yesterday though, so it´s pretty likely that he has prepared this for a while now.
What a shallow way to end an arc. None of the fights felt exciting and their overall execution was rushed and poorly done. Yet another opportunity to show off some other characters' powers wasted.
So if the gate is destroyed, the dragons would never have appeared.
But if the dragons never appeared, then the gate would never have been destroyed.

That's not how time travel works!
I wonder how this is going to effect Ultear - Future Lucy stayed dead even though the timeline changed, but the implication there was that, without using Rogue's dragons as a sign that they needed to get stronger (since those dragons wouldn't have been present in future Lucy's timeline), every single member of the Fairy Tail guild died. If she is alive, the next chapter (which seems to be the last one of the arc before set-up begins for another arc) appears to be a light-hearted comedy chapter, so if Mashima is going to reveal that she survived, it will probably be then.
As for Cobra, my guess is that he'll escape during the chaos as set-up for a future arc (possibly dealing with either the last guild in that trio of dark guilds, or a new dark guild that showed up during the timeskip).
That's not how time travel works!
The ending is quite good ,in my opinion. They're not really rushing to make the dragon slayers able to beat the dragon
I think the dragon is made to be the strongest creature,so it should be put in the last arc (so we can see good battle level pace)Also, the ending for future chars were also good :Future Rogue is kinda realising his mistakes (even though it's confusing when he said " in 1 years time" since this accident will change the next future event )
And future lucy....does she go to heaven with other FT-s?Or is it alternate future where dragon were vanishing... Who knows :blink:Even though the last page is kinda silly though, another 'beautiful words' from the author
Yeah guys another awful ending to an awful arc awful Fairy Tail style.
Later uncle.
that's it?really?
now i'm convinced hiro is just trolling

Meh. If he really wanted to troll people, he would have said that all of the dragons were beaten off-screen. As it stands, it's a rather anti-climactic ending, but it could have been much worse.

how ?
I just said how - having all of the dragons defeated off-screen. Alternatively, Ultear's sacrifice preventing the dragons from ever coming through the gate, or all of the dragons being converted to the side of good by a cheesy friendship speech that overrides Rogue's brainwashing.

at least we would have had a fight, offscreen, but a fight.
here we had multoiple battles setted up that are now meaningless because we didn't see anything of them.
if ultear sacrifice preventing the dragons from appearing it would actually been better, because now she sacrificed herself for nothing, because the people she saved would have come back to life anyway much like future lucy did,and all of them didn't served any purpose in the destruction of the gate..natsu made everything by himself.
and we had our big dose of cheesy freindship speeches anyway,so i don't see how rogue being converted would have been that much worse

Now, what have you been doing in the past few month :wassat:
Now, what have you been doing in the past few month :wassat:
before i though it was just bad writing..but this is something more..you have to do something like this on purpose.
Well that was a bland, boring, rushed, cheesetastic bullshit of an ending for an arc.
Remember when I said Not-Lucy didn't really die? Due to time shit for that matter?
And mainly due to how quickly the characters got over the death in the first place?
Not to mention leaving the body to lay there like a huge setup for her inevitable revival?
Yeah. If you believed that before, then drop the soap and take the divine bath of shame.
You deserve it. Hiro is predictable. Never put faith in the tragically unpredictable. Especially in Fairy Tail.
Who am I kidding? This afterlife is probally Edoras 2.
I think dead Lucy is dead but hey she met her friends again in the afterlife so its not so bad for her.
Still a forced way to end an arc Mashima didn't even let most of the dragons fight
why wouldn't Future Lucy go back too?
why wouldn't everything go back?
why did only the Dragons go back? Okay, I get it, they came from the gate, but that means that they were rewinded whereas all the damage and influence they had upon the modern world was maintained
you can't just isolate time-space and rewind that specifically; something's very space is never distinct, but totally related to its surroundings. there are some theories for areas of the universe where time can be reversed, but these are ideal locations and it is never so similar as a single molecule goes back, whereas the rest stay
honestly though this cloying, cheeseball gumbo of a manga is such a piece of shit that I never expected for Mashima to pay mind to any of this
i like how in heaven she's suddenly wearing a revealing costume.
"ooga even tits in heaven ass in heaven too hehe booga" - Hiro "Time Travel Expert" Mashima
I think dead Lucy is dead but hey she met her friends again in the afterlife so its not so bad for her.

nope,she is alive
3 Chapters of Fairy Tail every week??? LoL. that's what i call working hard, not like Oda.
i don't know whether you meant "working hard" in a way unlike Oda (implying Oda still works hard, which he does)
or that Oda doesn't work hard
if you meant the latter you're wrong.
It's easier to churn out poorly thought out shit with the same bland art style and poorly choreographed panels.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Not to say he doesn't work hard, just in terms of craft, Oda's work is far superior on every level and hence requires far more effort to keep its level of quality.
exactly
I know some people don't like One Piece's art (I personally think the artwork is really wonderful, although it's getting a bit too busy as of late - I yearn for the days of Water 7/Enies Lobby), but at the very least it has some sort of substance and individuality. Mashima's art is well-drawn but it looks like the type of stuff you'd find if you picked up one of those "how to draw anime and manga" volumes you sometimes pass by at your local bookstore. it's largely generic bi-shonen males and ultra-sexified females.
and that isn't even considering the fact that Oda, despite minor bumps, is an incredibly consistent writer; writing a good Shonen, especially one as long as One Piece, is no joke. the reason Oda doesn't release stuff like this is because he packs every single page with worthwhile information and character development; Mashima just recycles old gags and tropes and stuffs every third panel with an ass-shot
1% away from dropping this series
nope,she is alive
Schrödinger's Future Lucy :ninja:
Dead or alive, who cares? Let's hope Mashima will stop messing up with time, since it turns out event worse than his usual stuff… though it's prossibile that we'll have other time travels, given that Zeref knows Natsu since a not very clear time in the past...
So mashima by releasing so many chapter is trying to say " Hey guys, see how many pages I can draw every week, see, see? Can you please forget how poor the writing is?"
Well..that ended.
Money down that the other dragon slayers join the guild.
Well that was a godawful ending to this train wreck. Again, Natsu saves the day (YAY) and a bunch of horseshit tidies up the badly started plot. Now I'm just waiting to see how Ultear magically is alive again to make the whole thing 100% pointless.
So, unless next chapter negates pretty much everything happening this arc, including the characters memories, this is…about as big an inconsistent mess you can expect from time travel.
"We broke the gate, now Rogue can't go back in the first place, and everything is A-OK!"
...But Rogue is the reason the gate was built in the first place. And the gate was still there. Look, you can see the pieces all over the place. The time travel bullshit HAPPENED.
But we need a happy ending to wrap this turd up so NOPE IT DIDN'T
how much do you want to bet everyone will continue remembering the dragons and crazy rogue who never actually went back in time.
A rewind would be hilarious too though.
FutureRogue: Natsu...in a year...my cat will die! and my character design will go from bland to terrible!
Natsu: I'll make sure to look into it
---------------------ROGUE NEVER WENT BACK IN TIME, HISTORY IS ALTERED-----------------------------
Natsu: Wait, what just happened? Eh, nothing important I guess.
I'm kinda surprised that Future Lucy and the rest of Future Fairy Tail actually stayed dead. From that chart a few chapters back I thought Mashima was using the "split timeline" method of time travel but now we're apparently going the time loop route…? Ah, whatever, Mashima clearly didn't put too much thought into it, so neither will I.

Rogue wasn't the reason why the gate was built, though. The princess (or the king, can't remember which) had the gate built so that they'd have a way to go back in time and kill Zeref before he rose to power. Rogue only suggested using the magic power stored in the gate as a weapon to stop the horde of ten thousand dragons that he made up.
If he wanted clousure for Future Lucy he should just have put Lucy promising that the future that she came from won't happen or some shit better than "Everybody will be happy forever"
From the instant that we knew that this was going to be a time travel arc, we knew that the rules were going to be inconsistent as fuck, but I'd rather for it to be like this (The whole thing had consequences) than everybody (except the time travelers, Lucy and Mavis for some reason) forgets what happened.
Honestly, I liked the way that the final battle ended (as in the destroying of the gate givng them the victory, not as in the 6 dragons ignored), but for it to work it needed another smaller gate before getting destroyed or explaining what would happen with it better.
Anti-climactic ending is anti-climactic. Seriously though, we never even saw the dragon slayers fight the dragons (except for that lame fight with Natsu vs. the Flame Dragon), and they barely even showed the battle with future Rouge either. Well since this stupid tournament arc is finally over (except for maybe a few chapters), I can safely give it a rating. D- it is (the only thing that saves it from being an F is Minerva).
Pretty meh chapter.
Also see how I give not one fuck for Frosh ?
Am I supposed to give a flying rat's ass about Frosh?
The chapter felt very anticlimactic. For me, this is definitely the worst arc out of the series and I can't imagine things getting worse. I'm going to give it a chance, but I don't have my hopes up. I also have no idea what Hiro intends to do now.
But let me just say… 9 chapters in 3 weeks? Even if the story is sucking, that's still damn impressive. Oh wait, 10 counting the special chapter. Damn does this man draw fast!
His goal must be to give the anime more chapters to work with upon its return, which I heard will be in September or October, but there's no confirmation on that.
^it's 7 chapters, not ten. An impressive number nonetheless.
You know, after seeing Frosch get all that attention and all the spotlight I want to see it die really badly. Am I a bad person?

I thought it was 3 chapters for the next 3 weeks? Or is it just 3 for the next 2 with the special chapter? Either way it's still impressive.
You're not because his character sucks. :/
EDIT: Ah, never mind. I must have misread the disclaimer somehow.
I just reread that disclaimer, and Jesus Christ, they'll all have color pages too?! I imagine when these two weeks are over people will be stumbling out of Mashima's studio in a suicidal daze.

Now if these chapters are all actually good I'd REALLY be impressed, but we'll see. But yeah, color pages and seven chapters… Insane shit! Hiro must sketch while in his sleep, on the can, in bed, and at the dinner table!
I don't get the scene where the princess tricked the dragon. I mean the dragon just was about to vanish, anyway.
It was so bland, it was so bad. It was another Fairy Tail arc that got terrible mad.
