Seriously, how hard can it be to burn a DVD?? You know, I dont download many t.v. shows, because I actually like buying and really owning them. But I can
t do that if the damn show isnt available on DVD here, which, sadly, many good shows aren
t (come on, Arrested Developement and Its always sunny in Philadelphia, I
m talking to you!). So, I recently came to the conclusion that I should download them from a safe german site. So, all said and done. Then I think "Wait a minute! I could burn these on Dvds and…...actually watch them on my T.V.!!" (I know, Im such a genius:tongue:) This is the first time I
m doing this on my new laptop, and I find that my system has Windows Dvd Maker installed. Awesome! So, I choose the first 6 or 7 episodes of one of the shows and start the burning process, but.......it takes almost 7 hours!! What the hell? And you arent supposed to do something while this is going on because it would slow it down even more, so I try to somehow kill time. And then, when it
s almost done, it suddenly fails! All for nothing, and the blank disk isnt usable anymore. Great. So I think to myself, well maybe this won
t happen again, maybe this was a one-time thing. I try it again. It again takes almost 7 hours and then suddenly stops at 80%. I throw my laptop against the wall. Ok, fine, Im done with this shitty program. I download DVd Flick and wow, it
s way faster, it only needs two and a half hours, yay And then......it fails again. Godammit. I throw another blank disk away in sorrow. And, super idiot that I am, I didnt even make an Iso image, so.....I can encode everything again. This time, I click "create an Iso image first". Two and a half hours later, it creates an ISO image.....it burns......and then it fails again at the last second. At this point, I
m almost resigned to the fact that this, for some reason, will never work. But, hey, Ive still got the ISO image. I click on it.....and suddenly Windows opens the Windows burner programm or whatever it
s called, I put in a new disk...and it works! JUST LIKE THAT!!! Success! I did it! In your ugly face, Windows DVD Maker! Oh, seriously, I was so, so happy I just couldn`t believe it, after three days of trying it finally worked. Happy End!
And whats even more awesome, my DVD of Batman:TAS Season 4 finally arrived in the mail today, which now makes me the proud owner of all of Batman:TAS, all of Superman:TAS, all of Batman Beyond AND all of Justice League, plus the canon movies. Oh man, I haven`t watched a single episode since about 5 years, because I as waiting for this day, when I can lean back comfortably on my couch and watch it all on my big screen T.V.:wub:Oh man.
