I'll try to make both.

I'll try to make both.
-
Out of town~ Have fun y'all.
-
ill be available for the evening session for sure. I should be able to make the morning one but only for the second half or two thirds
-
I'll probably be there at night, and maybe in the 'morning' too.
-
Actually, I should show up right as the conference starts on saturday morning.
-
I won't be home all day next Saturday, so I'll be absent from both.
-
Don't forget guys, writing conference in 7 hours.~
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Actually, I'm sorry guys, but I think I'll push the morning conference forward to start at about 10 AM and then have it run until 1 PM.
If this affects participation then I apologize.
-
Does that mean two hours later than normal?
-
Yes. Also, the conference is starting right now.
-
Really? I don't see any activity coming from the chatroom. Did it move?
-
Some of us are in here right now. You should be seeing messages.
-
Oh yeah, I quit that room. I can't attend anyway. Have fun without me.~
-
No furries allowed.~
-
On second thought, I'm coming. Gimme access.
-
Alright, I think I added you.
But if you're on a mobile, I'm not sure how effective that add was.
-
I know its a bit late, but I had fun this morning/afternoon~
-
Same. It was really casual. Despite Ken-boy playing Fire Emblem, and the discussion moving towards game design.
-
I only got to the tail end and still had fun.
Also loved the game design part anyway. Sometimes I think we tend to start with writing but then go with exploring other means of expression which honestly is pretty good and easy to get involved in. -
Weird discussion as always folks, keep up the good work~
-
I couldn't make it because I got distracted by Trine for like five hours. :ninja:
My original excuse was going to be "studying" but pfft come on. next time I'll try harder.
-
That's not a good enough excuse.
Get down on your knees, place your hands behind your head and wait for us to throw rocks at you in atonement.
-
Let he who wasn't distracted by Fire Emblem cast the first stone.
-
Uses Rock Throw at Kenny.
Is it super effective?
No one knows! As for last night, sorry if I sounded really tired. I'm used to staying up really late and doing stuff for a ridiculous amount of hours, but talking isn't one of those things. Thinking isn't one of them either. But for what it was worth, it was decent. Quite a bit of great questions. I think we might need to take note of some of them for future sessions, assuming there's more attendance. I'm curious to hear other perspectives.
-
I showed up for five minutes at the morning one but I just had to take a shower and do other stuff and there wasn't really time to join in
-
I'll be hosting another conference this coming Saturday. That's April 27th at the following times:
9:00 - 12:00 AM + Central Time
7:00 - 10:00 PM + Central Time–-
Decided to alter the times a little bit to see how it affects attendance. I might make more altercations before the actual conference on Saturday but I'll keep them locked in two days beforehand. I'm going ban myself from making last minute changes from now on.
-
I'll be there for the morning conference, for once. Screw everything and everyone who tries to interfere.
-
-
Can't make it. Represent us Finns well for me, Dryish!
-
hey can i come hang out tooooo~
-
No.
I can make the morning one, but I'll be tired as fuck because I work both jobs before and after the conference. Just remind me when it happens please!

I promise to log on IRC just to slap you with a big wet trout right before we begin. That should suffice, no?
-

Shit, don't just come.
Invite everyone. Threaten them with ban hammers.
-
I'll be on my phone since my comp committed suicide, but I should be there for the morning~
-
I have the whole day off on Saturday so I might be able to swing by
-
My social ineptitude requires me to take advantage of any opportunity to interact with other human beings.
If only I were joking…
-
D-D-Dervish might be showing up? D:
Waaaah, Saturdays, why must you be such bad days for me~?
-
I will my best to show up, at least for the text part
-
Conference in 8 hours.
Be there or be I don't like you.
-
Good news everyone. I will be there. With topics since I've missed the last few… hope I don't tread old ground.
-
Oh yeah, the morning conference has started by the way.
-
I surprisingly made it
-
I actually have a question/sth to discuss now but I probably won't be there because I need to get up early tomorrow. Figures.
-
Evening conference is starting in 10 minutes.
-
Really enjoyable conference. It was really fun just sharing a small fraction of our own original silly ideas, and was probally my favorite part of the whole the thing. The late night after-chill was really nice too. Putting Thriller Blend on my read list too.
-
I tried to stay awake for the evening conference, I really did… But it proved to be an impossible task. Had to give up at around 2:40AM. I'm glad to hear you had a good discussion, however!

Heh, I appreciate it.
I'm looking forward to the bear asking for money and blacksmith Santa.~
-
I added a poll to collect data. Also, it's really bugging me that I can't add "you" in that poll question.

Looks like Saturday and Sunday (at the moment) are the most convenient days for everyone. So here's what I'm going to do, since this conference is going to be a test run for a new structure, I'm going to host them on two separate days (can you guess which ones?) and see if we can't get everyone to join.
The new structure shall be: 1) a short writing exercise at the beginning of each conference which will be explained in a minute, 2) discussion on a focal topic (which will also be explained in a minute), 3) the usual member questions and topics and then finally 4) a vote on and discussion of a member story that we'll all collectively read and review (optional).
Conferences will be held monthly from now (still with a sparse schedule but expect one to occur every month) and Kitsu and I have a couple of background schemes that will gradually become apparent throughout the year.~
–-
The writing exercise this time will be:
Exercise #1: Write a 1-2 page short story that starts with the sentence, "I wasn't sure what to do."
The focal topic of the next conference will be:
Topic #1: "What makes a good character?" (This is actually an old one but since we're rebooting, let's do it.)
More details to come along as they become apparent.
–-
The schedule shall be:
Saturday, May 25th: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sunday, May 26th: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 7:00 PM - 10:00 PMTHE CAKE IS A TRUE.
-
I will probably turn up for one of the morning ones though I'll avoid the others because I need to do work.
So … do we do the writing exercise and the reading of the member story at the time? Because . . .
-
You do the writing exercise sometime before the conference (and if you don't do it, we kick you out; kidding, it's optional). And as for reading a member's story… well, we haven't decided on which one to read yet. But you would read that before the next conference as well. (Also optional, everything is optional though strongly recommended).
