One Piece: Kaizoku Musou 2 (PS3 and PSVita)

I plan on getting plat.

I paid for mine from amiami today. I had changed it to EMS early last week. Then realised that I'm not THAT excited to pay the extra for it. So back to SAL.

Gonna try to avoid spoilers but can people answer me these questions:

1.) Are all of Chopper's forms in the game?
2.) Are there any new bosses aside from the ones who are playable
3.) What alt outfits are there for Robin, Chopper and Nami this time (not the DLC.)
4.) Can you transfer the Kimonos etc from PW1 into PW2 for the pre-SHs?
5.) From the start who is unlocked? And if it's only Luffy how long into the game before you have the crew?

I'll try and answer what I know ^^

1 - From what I saw Chopper is pretty much just Horn Point, Kung-Fu Point, Brain Point, and of course Monster for that musou. That's all i've seen out of his moveset from the streams, but there may be more. They could've used his reindeer form for running, saved the brain point melee's for human, and used Guard though.
2 - Moria, of course, I think he's the only new one that isn't playable, but don't quote me.
3- I haven't seen sadly, I just saw Buggy's Croc's and Aokiji's
4 - I don't think so, but again it's just something I haven't seen.
5 - I believe you start out with Luffy every time in the first level. Then you'll have a bit before you get the rest of the strawhats, basically periodically here and there as the story goes on. You don't have to worry about having to use Luffy for half the game either, i'll add, you get others plenty quick enough.

Looks like a whole lot of grinding for the Plat this time. I think I used the partner system once last time. Saw it was pretty much pointless and ignored it. Considering we've only seen Jozu, Vista and Iva as unique partners and no indication of tag attacks I'll not be bothering with this one either.

Looks like coins are going to be a bit less random this time. Which is fine by me. And I'm expecting good things if they expect us to spend that amount of berries. 2-3 actual different costumes for the Mugiwara to buy and at least one for the others would do me fine.

And thanks DSkull. Very worried about the lack of clarity on Chopper since that was one of the biggest problems with the first one.

@Cyber-Robin, No problem, glad if I can help ^^ That's the only part of Chopper I saw as underwhelming, though. even with just that, i'd have to say he's been majorly improved. Also for the partner system, I think it's a bit different in this game, but i've also already seen more than just the three characters you mentioned. Like Hannyabal as such, he's a partner you can have. I'm fairly certain there's quite a few others too. Unlike playable characters though, those characters just come in and do a special attack before switching back to you, looks kinda nice though.

I wish I could understand all the menus a little better, I have no idea what they're going through and selecting in all that. ^^;

Yeah, KM1 had a notoriously easy platinum for a Musou game, and this seems to be bringing it closer in line to the rest of the series. I mean, when pretty much every character has their own unique level(s) and there are 37 playable and 57 partners… You're getting your money's worth of content.

It was a way to do an extra few hits without being able to take damage, and if you abused it you could stock an extra Musou attack with it. It was pretty much over powered and broken. They completely changed it this time, it's really just a 2nd part to the power up mode where you either play as someone else or just get another super strong hit if it's an NPC. And I don't know why you think it's only Jozu, Vista and Iva, it's every NPC.

Hmm, I don't see any reason he wouldn't be! Though, it's not so much playable as you can have him jump in and do a big attack real quick. Least that's how Hanya and the others like Iva who aren't actual playable are. Iva jumps in, death wink, jump out to characters switch move.

I saw the roster and immediately began working on a time machine to jump forward to the English release of this game.

Edit: Seriously I got so excited from that roster I'm seriously considering dropping 100+ to purchase the special edition off ebay. One thing will decide it for me. I know the Japanese version is playable on an English ps3, but the entire menus and voices and everything will still be in Japanese right? So will there be some kind of translated walk through or video that will help me understand what I need to do to play and unlock things?

Not quite. Playable characters become fully playable for about 10 seconds and do a Musou-like finishing hit. The NPCs just do a single move, but they seem to be more powerfull as a trade off. It's not really like Gundam 3 where you stuck with Deathscythe Hell/Infinite Justice for it's huge AOE tornado effect. They're pretty much all the same.

Not even sure who the girls are supposed to be in this one. Perhona is Oichi. And Bearsy is that lion looking guy. Robin is the chick with the lightning attacks from Samurai Warriors I'm guessing. Or Xiahaou Ba? Nami I'm guessing is Lu Meng?

We've already seen the Nami and Robin ones. They're both Dynasty Warriors, Sun Shangxiang and Xingcai respectively. The other 2 are Samurai Warriors. Hancock is Naotora Ii with Salome as Takatora Todo (both of these are actually only in the newest 3DS SW game) and Perona is Okuni with Bearsy as Keiji Maeda. We also have seen Hancock as Diaochan with Lu Bu Salome and Perona as Wang Yuanji both from DW and Nami as Kunoichi and Robin as Kai both from SW, which based off the release dates of the other groups on that scan will come on the 10th and 17th.

Lucci of course but I hope they manage a mix of his human and Leopard forms, instead of just always being transformed.

Hopefully by then we'll know enough about Doflamingo for his inclusion

I remember hoping that part 3 would be at the stage for the slightly more obscure chars like Hina, Wiper, Foxy, Bonney, Mr. 1 etc. But guess they'll appear in game 6 at this rate

Important characters like Magellan, Ivankov, Mr.2,… are not playable yet, so those ( ones I really want to play as, by the way ) have no chances of being in on the next game, unless they pull a Garp/Perona, which is unlikely.
