What are you smoking?
Show me someone who isn't willing to use logic to examine the history of their religion or "faith", and I'll show you someone who I who desperately doesn't want to be wrong.. and that I probably don't want to have a conversation with.
Sorry, I'm just currently preparing to a test in logic. And there also is a big exam on it incoming. I'm overstressed.
Logic has it's limitations, people often don't understand it and are misguided.
More thoughts about logic are in my previous post
But just look at logic it's just a system based on axioms. Choosing different axioms creates different systems, Now a days people actually choose different systems to resolve different problems - it's needed because every system has it's limitations. Even in the past logic wasn't unified. As far as I know in India evolve system different from classic logic without laws of double negation elimination and law of noncontradiction.
Initial assumptions in logic are made arbitrarily. Therefore I don't think it's more credible than religion. It is more coherent. But I don't support coherence theory of truth.
Choosing axioms depends on irrational views (it depends partly on culture) and is often matter of belief.
I don't need to smoke anything I just study how religion works, what are mechanism behind science and to extent all cognition.
For the note I don't even think religion is supposed to be subjected to the reason. Religious cognition is supposed to take different path, but, yeah, many people tried to rationalized it.
