I finally watched all seasons 1-4. I for some reason started off with the middle of 5 before I decided to try and watch em all lol. God I'm addicted. I love this show so much.
Chris Pratt is so adorably dumb .

Just started watching this show on Netflix, and I actually liked it right from the first episode. Yes, admittedly the show misses the mark more than a few times, but that makes me all the more excited for season 3 when the show is supposed to get really good.
In the mean time, making my way through season 2 now.
THIS SHOW! It is sooooo much better than any other sitcom on tv! Love everything about it… so many awesome quotes
I just re-watched Season 3…soooooooooo funny XD
Also....
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DX
WHY NBC!? WHY DID YOU MOVE TIMES AND NOT TELL ANYONE!?
I completely missed the new episode D:
That's a shame. My favorite episode so far this year.
It was a series of throwaway gags, but for some reason I loved the molecular mixology.

Oh, and for those not in on the joke, Rob Lowe actually is close personal friends with Jim Irsay. There was even a strange news cycle this past summer when Lowe tweeted that Peyton Manning was going to retire based on his sources.
"Yay, best wedding ever!"
I was just thinking of reviving this thread to post pretty much the same thing. That wedding episode got me pretty good. Really, any strong Leslie/Ron interaction does it for me, and Leslie talking about her father dying…sniffle
I had my concerns about the show earlier in the season, but we've had a really strong stretch of six or seven episodes. I'm not a big fan of Andy's spiral into being the show's Kevin and I can't believe clever TV writers would give Ann Perkins such a typical throwaway storyline like the sperm donor arc, but it's back on track otherwise.
Best. Show. Ever.
"Yay, best wedding ever!"
Second best. I think 30 Rock's was better…but it was a hell of a great episode.
Also, it still frustrates the hell out of me that this show seemingly can't find any good plotline for Ann.
Schur's been saying he's got a big storyline planned for Ann in the back nine. If it's more baby gravy though… :I
No new episode this week it seems….
I LITRALY (not a typo) can't wait for the next episode.
Gotta wait two weeks. March 14th is the next airdate.
To any British forum members who are interested, Parks and Recreation is now on BBC 4. I'm not sure of the exact details of what broadcasting rights they have but I watched the first two episodes last night and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the rest of it.
Holy crap season one was such a drag to get through, I've been trying to get into this for like 3 years now and the first few episodes were a major turn off(always gave up at episode 3).
So I don't know I just decided today to skip the last season 1 episode(somehow got through 4-5 trying to find something new after community didn't quite do it for me for few weeks straight) and went straight for season 2 and the first episode is just so much better, good enough to keep me watching instead of turning me off.
I hope it only gets better from now on. And maybe I can go back in retrospect and have newfound appreciation for season 1 later.

You'll mainly just have an appreciation of how it's not nearly as good.
That said, the last episode of the first season is what many consider to be the first really good episode of the series. I think it's still pretty mediocre, but it sets up some of the plotlines of the second season, and moves towards finally ending that awkward/terrible Mark-Leslie storyline.
awkward/terrible Mark-Leslie storyline.
uhh, Season 1 felt like the office rip-off. and that storyline WAS quite bad. but it had its moments. mostly April and "We fell into the pit" song
Man, this Tv show's grown on me. Maybe it even tops How I Met your Mother and Extras on my list.
I rather liked Season One's more douchey Andy (I like the middle season's naive Andy as well), and I probably laughed harder at Mark telling April to get behind them when it turns out they were interviewing a sex offender than at most of this season.
But yeah, the show really grows up nicely.
As someone who made it through Buffy season one without any trouble, I never really had any issues with Parks season one. its definitely not as funny, but there are some fantastic moments like the Pit song, and the sex offender joke tatermoog mentioned. And the more I rewatch it, the more it grows on me.
To be completely fair it was only six episodes, and both 30 Rock and Community took at least that long to find themselves. Buffy took even longer. All of season one and the first half of two before it found its stride, despite having some really great episodes in between.

It's funny that you say that because episode 6 of community was exactly the episode that got me over with this scene(because I just loved the dialog). That said I already liked the episodes(especially the pilot) before that so that one just sealed the deal for me.
Also just saw the digging up dirt competition episode which was great!
"So I don't know I just decided today to skip the last season 1 episode"
That's probably the best Season 1 episode. If you got through the other five…
Also just saw the digging up dirt competition episode which was great!
One of the funniest Jerry bits ever.
And that's saying something.
I watched I think pretty much all the outtaks from Parks and Recs that were posted on Youtube last week. I like how much stuff is on the spot. Andy's come back story is the best.
Cyclone_Baroness Speaking about youtube, have you seen this? hillarious two clips with Nick offerman. [I'm so ashamed that I never did what a real man must do to grow a mustache. but then again, my upper lip is like a baby's ass]

LOL sorry I misread that; good thing too Park and Rec is way too good to end now.

There you go. Seasons 2-4.
May 2nd makes sense. We'll have four episodes in April, and two on the 2nd of May.
I just needed to get started on the show. I heard good things about this from Community fans, so I decided to give it a go.
I have to say… I might actually like it more than Community. I'm halfway through the second season, and I haven't laughed as much as this for years, probably. The very short first season was rather... bad, but oh my god has it improved. Some characters are kinda average, like Mark and Ann, but pretty much everyone else is hilarious. Even the side characters like Jerry and Donna are great. So yeah, knock on wood and all that, but if it continues like this I might actually call it the funniest show ever.
Parks and Recreation's third season is better than any season of Community. I do believe Community's best episodes (Remedial Chaos Theory, Modern Warfare, etc.) are better than Parks' best (The Fight, The Comeback Kid, etc.), but Community's worst are much much worse than Parks'.
I can't really see how people can compare these two(with the intention of making a definite statement of how their quality relates to another), they are so so different(which does not mean one can't like one more than the other).
I love them both for different reasons just as I love the first few seasons of how I met your mother or the fresh prince of bel'air for different reasons.
To me it seems so far removed to try compare these two on any kind of objective scale since they don't share enough with each other.
Compared to say doing this with friends and how I met your mother which are closer in nature.
What is the deal with this Sperming of Ann Perkins storyline? What is a mid-90s sitcom standby doing in my Parks and Recreation, and why won't it go away?
I found Ron's skim milk line hilarious and accurate.
I love Ben's dialog in this episode. I await the outtakes lol.
April seems really off for some reason and I'm not sure why exactly.
Interesting side-point about last night's episode: http://popwatch.ew.com/2013/04/05/parks-and-recreation-infinite-jest/ Maybe that's why I didn't like it that much, funny high points aside.
WHAT!
My roommate is working on a dissertation with some DFW connections and has Infinite Jest on the table next the couch. We watched the episode last night and he didn't say a SINGLE THING! He should fail that paper.
Finally caught the episode. I loved Ann's reaction to Jerry's results and Ben's everything.
"I'm having twins" killed me.
Hilarious episode. It's insane how good the cast is, and how well they are spread out through each episode.
I was trying to list highlights, but I ended up describing the entire episode.
holy crap the sawdust joke
"I will be your Pocahontas, climb into my papoose" I love Leslie !
Jerry did not get the job : (
Why would you ever give Jerry a job for anything?
I would not, but I just can't help but to feel bad for him : ( "Well, I'm glad to be even considered for this job" AWWW
I love you, Patton "Constable Bob" Oswalt
adds Patton Oswalt to the Community-Parks crossover guest stars
Thought tonight's first episode was a good capsule statement of what makes P&R so great. Started off as a pretty biting satire on Second Amendment nuts and ended with Leslie doing her best to help out the nut. It wasn't a particularly funny episode to me, but it's so nice to see a show that will skip the easy laughs for some kindness.
