Vegapunk probably looks like this guy:
Which characters have we seen turn black from haki so far? Luffy, Vergo and Smoker? I can't remember anyone else… What if the hardening is created when someone uses CoA with CoC? We've all wondered what the purpose of CoC is besides knocking out fodder and Shanks seems to have used it to damage Whitebeard's ship.
I think it's very likely that Smoker has CoC and possible Vergo does as well. This would explain how Luffy's use of haki is different and why Oda sometimes draws it as black and other times does not. CoA creates the armor and CoC strengthens it.
NEVERMIND I just read the Mangastream version. He's saying "Who" and not "What."
_I don't really know what to think about Garbage-Dragon-Suke not knowing what Luffy was.. it almost doesn't make any sense what-so-ever.
The only way it makes any sense to me: I think Trash-Drag-Suke is actually recognizing the Devil Fruit within Luffy. It doesn't make any sense that a Samurai wouldn't recognize another human, no matter how you slice it: he was born at some point pre-kidnapping and has been interacting with the PH staff/other kids post-kidnapping. So what is so special about Luffy that Garbage-Suke wouldn't instantly get? His devil fruit. This has crazy implications, most of which aren't even worth going in to unless I'm actually right for some reason. But I think interesting nonetheless_
You are wrong, it's a special way of using CoA Haki.
That's the only explanation. Since we've seen CoA used MANY times w/o blackening. I still wonder why none of WB's division commanders, none of the shichibukai, and none of the admirals used it during the war? It seems to be a more powerful form but nobody thought to use it against Akainu?

No just no,we can't give CoC to everyone.
It ight depend on the type of body or it is just a CoA tech that no one used pre TS.Or it is just a way to show when someone is using Haki.
Though it really affects Luffy's DF.
Anyway. Can really Momonosuke carry Luffy?I think it will be better if Luffy does something crazy by himself.

Whitebeard was a confirmed CoC user and did plenty of Haki attacks in the war, but there was no blackening.
when was Whitebeard confirmed to have CoC?

Fossa says something like "The same haoshoku as pops and red haired". Maybe CCC has something to add.

Poor Momonosuke puberty hit him hard in the face so young and already with Gol D.Roger moustache type.
Caesar faces are becoming better and better and what an inprovement on lying to terrible liyer to a lyier that can fake his cry that is some serious growth.
I need Coribou help on using shovels i suck at use them team fortess.
Just as a random note… I think Momonosuke actually has a Dragon Devil Fruit. Mostly because he's still able to speak.
That's in chapter 570 the bridge of life isn't it? The translation on manga-reader is different so I guess we do need ccc
We have Aohige :P

Go goomba stomping with the market gardener and the man treads! It's the most fun, and easiest to pull off on koth harvest.
Oh! Calling it now! Kinemon mated with a female dragon and thus, Momonosuke was born!

so we agree that the blackening comes from haki but we dont agree whether it is just oda's new way to show a simple CoA imbued attack or a special 'hardening' technique of using CoA.
dont you find it weird that suddenly everybody use hardening while no one ever used it before luffy fight kraken? there were many haki users during the war but no one used 'hardening'. right now i lean more towards the former option. still need a lot of haki explanation oda!

Its confirmed to be a technique. "armament hardening" i say that because characters have used coa without their arm blackening, post ts.
We really do need a end all be all explanation of haki before we get to deep into the nw.

I don't actually find it that odd that we didn't see Busoshoku: Koka during the war. Remember that our perspective was whipped around constantly and we never really saw the full details of the vast majority of what was going on. I think it's fairly reasonable to suggest that even though we didn't see it during the war, it still happened.

Thanks abz. I had the idea that the moon people were alien like green little gremlings with big heads. But yeah I must have dreamt that. so thanks a lot m8

Just a little addition, it implies a group of people not just Whitebeard and Redhair. So it's like "The same haoshoku haki as pops and red haired [and some others]."
It implies that he knows others with CoC.
According the Crocodile, they are very tough and durable, they can apparently recover quickly after being defeated. I forget his exact words in Impel Down but it's something to that affect. So far though everything we have seen of them is pretty mindless so that might be the trade off. It's theorized Copper tapped into his Awakened Zoan a long time ago and first used it in the current time line during Enies Lobby, only now with his new medical skill he as discovered a way to keep control.
(…)
I agree with your point regarding their strength and durability.
But to see a difference between awakened Zoans and normal Zoans without a fight you just have to look at their hands: Almost all MinoAnimals in ID have hands with "black" fingers, just like Choppers Monster form. You can also see in their "dot"-eyes that they are different from normal Zoans (at least Mino-Taurus, -Rhinozeros, -Koala, and Mino-Chihuahua. Mino-Zebra has sum kind of "feminime" eyes with its eyelashes).
I doubt that - if he ate a DF - Momo is an awakened Zoan, he doesn't show the typical eyes or hands like the Mino-Beasts.
We don't know much bout Awakened Zoans, we just know that Chopper's RB can "release" that mode for 3 minutes. We don't know how the Mino-Beasts got "released" or how they can "stay" awakened permanently.
I'm wondering if Vergo's ability has something to do with manipulating metal. Almost like forging metal. It looks to be he can put the properties of metal into objects and manipulate them. Like a hot grill that could explain the food sticking to him. But so far we have been given no indication of heat.
I doubt he uses any DF. The bamboo stick could be used just like a stray (just like school kids use strays to shoot small "wet paperballs" (IDK the english trans for that word) at their teachers or the blackboard). If he imbues the projectiles with haki they're more dangerous. But I have to admit that Vergo strongly reminds me of Mr. 5 (Spit Revolver or Booger bombs anyone?) Vergo's coat and those sunglasses resembles Mr. 5 even more.

Either Vergo ate the bamboo DF or idk.. Franky probably went to build some sea-stone cage in thousand Sunny were they will put DF users they caught, example CC. And Franky is also probably building a sea-stone into his hand Palm and fist so he can touch logia's, this idea came to him after Luffy asked him if he had anything they could put CC in..

At least i want Ceasar to clear some dots about devil fruits before punk hazard arc end especialy the zoan ones like how aparently until now the only ones that can be "eaten" by objects.
And the remaing dots could be answer by vegapunk like is the time span until they "reborn" after ther user dies

Yeah, all he needs to do is picking up every seastone he finds on the way to Sunny. Because, you know, seastones can be found everywhere.

At least using CC's method, DFs can respawn immediately.

I doubt that Caesar will give us any new information about Devil Fruits. He has no reason to and I doubt that anyone on Punk Hazard would be interested anyway
The Smiley / apple incident was probably just a typical Oda-tease.

That is not a bad idea. As Luffy, Robin and Smoshigi had been seastone-cuffed (Law was not), he could have used them to build sum kind of cage for CC. IMO it is enough to take a normal cage and put seastone on its surface (like spraying or painting). The only flaw here is that sea stone is undestroyable like they said in EL (harder than diamond) so I wonder how Franky will assimilate it any further. But on the other hand how are marines able to coat their ships with it or built cages and handcuffs of it. There must be a way how you can work with it as a raw material…
for some reson I was expecting more from this chapter. but flash backs were in odd spots you know. The fight with smoker and vergo look good but please let it be a winner and non of that we will meet again crap. win or lose we need a victor. and ceasar is an asshole. and i hate it when these weakling follow their master blindly. like buggy's level 5 men

I think if we ACTUALLY saw Vegapunk in this chapter, or a better shot of his 'shadow figure', people would have enjoyed the chapter a bit more; I'm actually surprised we didn't. But that's Oda for you. The ultimate troll.
1. Put "Vegapunk" in chapter title…
2. Only show his 'shadow figure' in weird shapes, one of which looks like an ear...
3. ???
4. Profit!!!

oda has zero reason to debut such a ground breaking character in a flashback from four years ago. If it was a silhouette from the current timeline your argument would be valid i guess.
@RPG king: Though they felt a bit unnessesary, the point of the flashback was to show how delusional Ceasar is and the scale of the weapon.
I think Vergo has a modifying ability.
Unlike Law's, Vergo can modify the properties of whatever he touches (e.g. make them denser and much harder, or make them so they can be blown up, etc).
The whole food to the face is probably just a comical trait he has, though maybe his ability unconsciously modifies them so they stick to his face o u o

Miss Valentine already had a fruit that could alter density.
The most likely fruit for Vergo I can come up with, considering everything we've seen, is a plastics DF. Yes, plastics. That would explain why stuff sticks to him, why he can harden the same object he can use as an explosive, and why he can harden himself to absorb even the strongest blows, in addition to CoA Haki.

She could alter only her own density, not of the stuff she touches.
i would guess vergo is just adept in using haki and rokushiki (though lucci, if he will come back i think would be even better at it)…he got no devils fruit either.
before, i was thinking that vergo got a wapometal / metal jaw or something, but since not only metallic things stick to his face but also food...the things sticking to his face is maybe just a gag to emphasize his quirk of being forgetful.
im also thinking that he could be an android or cyborg or something like that since his actions are robotic in a way....but now i think the way he acts is merely only because he is a lazy-ass....doflamingo doesnt trust clown enough to have clown operate on vergo and vegapunk i think is out since i think because he wont work for doflamingo (but since doflamingo knew about the insides of what happened with kuma, it might be that he also got eyes in the science dept. of the marines...or he requested his WG "friends" to make vergo a cyborg...so i could be wrong and vergo maybe really a cyborg)
his weapon, im not sure how to take the "balloon" bamboo attack...its either just a gag or exaggeration or it really ate a devil's fruit...would be cool since the last time we saw a weapon with a fruit is back is funk freed IIRC.

I'd say Zoans are more interesting than Logias. Whooooo you can turn in to element and more or less be overpowered and stuff, big whoop. At least with Zoans, they're fun and reasonably balanced. Though neither really compare to how cool and varied Paramecia fruits are.

Yeah I agree, Paramecias are really creative and I tend to love most of them. I can stand Logias because they are all different and people use them in unique ways, while Zoans are mostly just physical based and just turn people into animals, at least early on. I hope Oda changes them a little bit, because he hasn't been introducing a lot of them. I could be wrong on this, so I hope someone would correct me, but aren't the most recently introduced Zoans just Drake, the guards from Impel Down, and Marco? Not much compared to Paramecias.
What if the reason the world goverment wants bonney its because her ability for the giantification that way the volunteers (and prisoners) could have the efects more eficiently without risk their popularity to the masses if somehow the information leaked that they kidnap kids like ceasar sugested (and probably Vegapunk would be against such act and they can risk lose their best cientist and they also not being very confortaby in resort to such acts) and bonnie being a pirate its like kiling two birds with one shot.

I personally think the WG wants Bonney is because she's a survivor from the Void Century, and, of course, has been using her DF to keep herself young (and perhaps other Void Century survivors).
