Alright, as I said when its confirmed I'll admit I was wrong. I'll even look at the spoilers.
Question is his name "Kinemon the Foxfire" or "Kinemon of Foxfire"? Because if its "of" he sounds more like a member of dynasty or kingdom of some sort.

As for the matter of the Samurai's name (I initially wrote "strangely dressed foreigner" because I knew it was talking about him but had no idea how to translate the name)… it's definitely Kinemon. The other part of his title, "Kitsunebi," is literally "Fox Fire" or "Will o' Wisp" or "St. Elmo's Fire." I'd personally go with Fox Fire, and I'm guessing it's his clan/tribe/daimyo's name (because it's Kitsunebi NO Kinemon).

Idk he is kinda separated and you have to admit Oda is prolonging his body becoming one again….maybe it's because his true abilities will be a big reveal? Like you say we really dont know.

Kinemon isn't going to join the crew now in Punk Hazard. But he is obviously going to fight with the crew to help his Son. Then we know more of his powers, which I hope would be the Kitsune zoan.
To only make clothing would really be lame indeed xD. Then again, I am very curious what his story is, he is know as Kinemon the Will 'o Wisp/Foxfire. So he is known by the government! I am also curious if his wife is still alive :o. Anyhow, my take on him is that he is going to join after Wano. But that will be depending on how is fruit will work I guess. And that is something that we would find after the next chapter.

If I look at Brook bringing out his soul, do you guys think per chance, he also can summon souls of the underworld? And use them to possess objects? Something like using music to summon souls and use them to attack :o.

Monet has a cool design, but in my opinion hasn't done much in the arc yet to warrant being an amazing character. At least not to the level Kinemon has.
Just read the past few pages and now I'm really excited about Kinemon as a character. Kitsunebi no Kinemon sounds epicly awesome, and it does seem like he has some fame in the world and is recognized by the world government. Looking forward to learn more about him.

Like Noqanky said, the only amazing thing about Monet is her unique harpy design. Other than that, she has not displayed anything yet. So she's not a good candidate for crewmate.

But lets say he's not a Kitsune mythical zoan user and is a paramecia, what fruit can it be? Illusion illusion fruit? I personally think a paramecia fruit is a bit limited in trying to explain Kinemon's powers since "sorcery" is pretty broad. Sorcery sorcery fruit?

Well regardless his appearance didn't change when he used them either. I edited my last post to show the example you provided early. Notice no fox muzzle, no whiskers, no fangs,and no ear fluctuation.

Alright however,when used his powers he didn't change. No fox snout, no fox ears nothing. When a mythical Zoan user uses his/her powers they transform in some reagard, Sengoku transformed,and Marco transformed and flew into Kizaru's attack. When Kinemon used his powers his face did not change.

For all we know the Kitsune powers work differently,Marco and Sengoku were kinda in the midst of Battle so ofc they would need to change quickly to defend.

How does the effects of the Ope Ope fruit affect Devil fruit transfromations? Chopper's body in Franky's control allowed him to revert to hybrid state out of Kung fu point and responded to the rumble ball allowing him to go into Monster point.

Like I said I think the separation of his Body has something to do with it. Choppers Body was still intact. Kinemon only needed his mouth to say the magic words,btw they never showed his eyes when he said Poof. [[Fox eyes?]]
Besides man I think theres no point in "transforming" fullblown Zoan ,especially when your body is in pieces he as no reason to as of yet.
He wouldn't even use the clothing trick until he had to.

To be honest, he already does have fox eyes (or I guess they could be Tanuki eyes).
Judging by his ability and his epithet, I'm guessing that he has one of two DFs.
A Kitsune Mythical Zoan, or a Paramecia that gives the user similar powers.

Not necessarily, but the fact he mentioned using his powers for disguises is a heavy implication that his epiteth is somewhat derivative of that, since the japanese fox is a trickster that often times pretend to be something/someone else, aside from the tail which iirc can't be disguised.
More than that, he actually had the SHs put stones on their head, and then he transformed those stones into clothing.
You don't get more "Yōkai" than that.

They had just as much substance as Kinemon (nil).
Don't get me wrong, I am on the boat of thinking it's a kitsune/tanuki zoan and I get that it's to big of a coincidence to have that epithet and have magical powers of the disguising nature (so far that's all we've seen him use), but I'm still thinking it's too soon to rule out that possibility just yet.
@Noqanky: I believe you do recall correctly about the tail not being able to be disguised, whether he would always have it is another question because his DF is still a mystery. I've read arguments about whether or not he'd be able to use his powers without some kind of transformation (I disagreed with that… I think he would)..

Personally, I like the the name "Kinemon the Will o' Wisp" (which is the translation I read from mangarule)...
The meaning of it has to do with a ghostly light guiding travelers with a safe passage, in most cases they've been swamp/marsh related, and it's been proven that it was in fact "marsh gas" that can spontaneously catch fire when in contact with air..After reading that part it reminded me of when Zoro mentioned that he wanted a fire sword and got me wondering that perhaps Kinemon got that epithet from his abilities in sword fighting, whether it's due to his devil fruit or not he probably uses fire related attacks/makes his sword ..A fire sword...Which if and when Zoro saw that, he'd flip shit to say the least..
Edit: Hachi had substance, it's just to bad that he was weak and Oda had planned for another fishman to join. Kinemon just has so much more though, I havn't been this into a newly introduced character since Brook.

And your 2 aspects you have your doubts for
1. Why not transformed yet? I doubt Oda wanted to show only a torso transformed and wants to show a full reveal of something epic as this
2. Not transformed when used his magic. We have no damn clue how mythical zoans are working after all. Who knows. Maybe Marco can regenerate without transforming into phoenix mode. He even regenerated once where he wasn't in full mode.
But we are going in circles after all. Just let it rest and we will see it soon
